Excellent atmosphere in this cute pizza-café. Outdoor eating area with bar and excellent live music has an open ceiling strung with café lights, bordered on three sides by beautiful brick. Also makes a very solid wood-fired pizza — my personal favorite is the margherita!

Rule to live by: A pie a piece. Crispy, savory, smoky pizzas! These are thin crusts fired in a wood burning oven. You can taste the difference in the chewy dough. My favorite is the Margherita pizza because I love mozzarella! Not overwhelmed with toppings, just flavor. San Pelligrino is served here, which is my favorite sparkling water! Family style atmosphere. Oh, Tosa, yet another restaurant that I wish was in Milwaukee!

Delivery service is TERRIBLE! Multiple times I have had issues with deliveries, and the people on the phone have been incredibly rude. That being said, the pizza is delicious and for a family who has each member liking different toppings the pizza size is perfect.

The lady who took our order at the front desk was not friendly(not rude, but not the type of personality that should be at the front of the house…). The salads are more side salad portions than an entrée(not that that is bad, just know what to expect). But, that duck pizza… is AMAZING! Probably one of the best pizzas I have had-seriously. Note: if you’re a tomato sauce lover, you may not enjoy it… I prefer my pizzas without tomato sauce.. and this pizza delivered on every single bite.

We ordered Four Seasons and Marguerita pizzas, along with an order of flatbread. We may have ordered a bottle of wine, but after being told«our wines are over there,» no prices, just«somewhere between $ 19 and $ 35,» we went with beer. The pizza was decent. Thin crust, nice selection of toppings, sauce was uninspiring, but adequate. The Marguerita should be made with amazing ingredients, since there are only 3 of them. It was, again, adequate. The Four Seasons was well liked. We made the mistake of dining in. After our challenging ordering experience, we climbed the stairs to … a cafeteria. Really no other way to describe it. I don’t mind the stairs, or the Self-Serve Station stocked with napkins, plates, soda, and to-go containers, but expected to find a more homey atmosphere. Not here. TLDR: food is decent, get it to go.

Food is great. Maybe not the best value. Could use bigger portions. That being said you can’t go wrong with bartolottas. Service and ambiance. Almost always on point.

Placed an order online for pickup. When I arrived, I waited at least 10 minutes for customers ahead of me to get their wine and order their food. It took two cashiers/cooks to get 1 family situated. My order had been on the counter the entire time, and probably longer, by the feel of it. When I finally got the food home, another 10 minutes or so, it was cold, limp, and unappetizing. The flavors and combinations were good, but it is just disappointing when dinner definitely wasn’t worth the price. The counter service leaves something to be desired, especially when pick up orders wait and get cold behind large family dinner orders. Probably won’t be back.

Great lunch special — pizza and a side salad for just over $ 7! Delicious pizza at a reasonable lunch price. I also like the punch card/loyalty perks. I’ve been here twice and I will be back again :)

It’s really hard to NOT like this place. Freshly baked thin-crust pizza with toppings that pack a bunch of really good flavor into these simple Italian pies. I usually end up going for lunch for their lunch special for ½ a pizza and ½ a salad for around $ 8. That, tied in with a Buy 10, Get 1, pizza punch card and the whole Bartalotta Rewards system, I feel like the lunch special is even cheaper. My personal favorite topping is the pepperoni, as is it a bit spicier than typically expected. When it’s warm out, they have a nice outdoor seating area right next door to the shop, which they provide service.

This place is pretty inviting. The location is great and the building doesn’t let you down. The food on the other hand was mediocre. The knots were not bad. The chicken panini was decent but a bit soggy. The potatoes that came with it tasted reheated or maybe just had been kept in a warmer. Ordered just a simple pizza sausage and mozzarella. It came out fast. A little too fast maybe. The pizza ended up having additional ingredients on it even though I confirmed it when ordering. They fixed that right away though. I’m always one to say stuff happens, no biggie. The sauce was a bit watery, barely any cheese, and the crust was over cooked for how thin it was. After reading all the Unilocal reviews we were really hoping it was going to be great. We eat a ton of pizza and Italian food and was hoping to give this place a better review. Maybe it was just and off night or not up our alley. I’m only giving two stars which I feel awful about but even that is high because the place itself was really nice.

Great Margherita pizza! Perfect thin crust. My only issue was we ordered black olives on the kids’ pizzas and they made them with Kalamata olives. We were able to pick them off and learned that neither kid likes Kalamata olives. The patio looks like it would awesome in summer.

We love pizzeria piccola — especially in the summer where we can sit outside in the open air seating space. The pizza is really good — especially their cuts of meat. The pepperoni was the perfect amount of spicy and the crust was fantastic. It’s a little pricy, but I guess that is to be expected from a bartolotta restaurant. The ambiance is great, and it’s a lovely place to visit in tosa village.

Review 100 Located in charming old tosa village. I wanted a casual wood stone fired pizza with a few beers and an appetizer. This place fits the bill as they are fast not too busy during the weekends. I was craving the garlic knots. The knots I got were not at their best this time. I’m guessing these were not fresh out the oven this time. The pizza was delicious. The general seating area is on the second floor. They also have a nice patio available as well. Service was younger friendly and attentive. Food 4 Ambiance 5 Service 5 Location 4 Value 4 77⁄2015

Best Italian pizza place in Milwaukee area! Alien LOVED their Pizza Margherita. Don’t miss it! Piccola Pizza was also yum. Always fresh from oven. Prices are reasonable.

This place was fabulous! Nice to see a wood-fired pizza place in this part of the country. We tried the number one and the number two. Both were excellent. The place also has a nice ambience, good beers on tap, and great service. The only slight drawback is that all pizzas are individual size, so you can’t get a giant pizza to take home. I will certainly be back if I get the chance!

I’ve been by Piccola at least 50 times as it sits on the main road in the village and finally made my first trip here for lunch with a co-worker. I went with a specialty pizza of the day that had Pancetta and fresh herbs. We grabbed a seat in the upstairs area and had most of the dining area to ourselves. It’s a fast casual style meal, where you come in order at the counter get a number take a seat and your food will find you. The pizza I got was delicious and I enjoyed the whole thing. Unless your a small eater don’t split the regular thin crust pizzas. Prices were fair and the dining area was clean and quiet for lunch. I’d come back again.

Typically a stalwart in my pizza portfolio, PP has lost something over the past year or so. The service is awkward, sometimes the service staff ignores you or stands in your way. The food isn’t as good, not as consistent and lacks the fulfilling finish it used to have. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a fan but I hope management can iron out the socially awkward experience from cash register all the way through the servers insisting, for example, that you ordered the duck sausage pizza and trying to give it to you. No, ma’am, I’m a vegetarian.

Consistently good, but average, pizza whether you dine in or order delivery. I’m a fan of the margherita, but also like adding the Parma prosciutto. The salads are average and what you would expect at a pizza place. If you are dining in, the gelato is a nice way to end the meal.

Our big group needed a late lunch in the Tosa area so we selected PP since it has outside seating and is reasonably priced. The Pepperoni pizza was nicely spicy but the crust was a bit hard and dry — this was the common complaint on all of the pizzas we ordered. We like thin crust but these needed more moisture or at least some oil on the table to fix this issue. The garlic bread knots were more successful as was the Capri salad. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the outdoor space is very nice.

Came for lunch and ordered behind a large party. That caused it to take 30 minutes for two thin crust pizzas to come out which is pretty poor throughput for a fast casual place. The pizza was good and worth the detour. Without the poor food wait time, I would rate the pizza 4 or 5 stars. Due to the slow service, I won’t be back.

Pizza was very bland, bad sauce, not enough cheese, great crust however. Would it kill someone to put a little basil and garlic on the pizza? My daughter got a pizza with just cheese and olives and it was so salty I could barely eat a bite. I know olives are salty but come on. I’m guessing that the people that gave this more than 3 stars didn’t try the pizza.

Pizza was good, BUT you have to go to the counter and wait in line for any drink because your waitress doesn’t do that. Plus you eat upstairs where it’s exceedingly hot. Bottom line, pizza isn’t good enough for me to come back.

Pizza is great, service is swift and friendly… But they need to make a bigger pizza! I love their food and definitely one of the best pizzas around. Add a little more cheese on the pizza, last time I was slightly disappointed.

Great cheap eats pizza for lunch. I stopped by when I had to be in Wauwatosa. The pizza can be a little salty but the woodfire goodness makes it better. Great place for a quick bite. I did notice they have issues with the upstairs seating for people that need wheelchair access. There was a person who came in who was disappointed he couldn’t go up. The service was extremely friendly and polite. But isn’t that what you expect when you go to a Bartolotta’s. I would defnitely go back again.

My family and I dined this evening and was looking forward to sitting outside. We ordered(4) pizzas and when our order was finally brought out, they were cold. The cheese was hard. It seemed liked they were reheated or something. The kicker was when the teenage server gave my son his plate, a sliced fell onto the table & he picked it up and put it back onto my child’s plate. Major disappointment from a Bartolotta Restaurant.

The pizza of the village! There are other options in the area such as toppers, but this is a nice little place with a small and local feel. The patio is great. Wooden picnic tables and square 4-tops make sitting outside a breeze. There is also a nice inside seating area upstairs inside the restaurant. The pizza is good. It is brick oven style. Fresh ingredients. People love the garlic knots. They were good but not amazing. The ordering process is confusing your first time. There is no wait staff. You order at the register, then take your number outside and they bring you the food. Overall, it’s a very good experience. Give them a shot!

This place is Legit. One of the first«new» restaurants to come to Tosa before Tosa was cool, Pizzeria Piccola sits in the heart of the Tosa Village right near Chancery. I came here recently with a co-worker for lunch. Their lunch special is amazing — $ 6.95 for a salad and your own personal pizza. More than enough food and more than delicious for the price. With a Culvers-style setup, you first order downstairs then go upstairs with your number and they bring the food to your table. The upstairs is nice, clean, and has cool window views of the village. Although I haven’t tested this place for dinner, for lunch it was better than expected. I’ll defintely be back for more Pizzzzzaaaaaa.

Pizzeria Piccola is one of the many great Bartolotta restaurants in the Milwaukee area. This one is located down the street from Ristorante Bartolotta in Wauwatosa. The purpose of this restaurant is to serve authentic Neapolitan pizzas. One key component to accomplishing that is the use of a very hot wood-burning oven. The crusts come out slightly crisp and chewy. The sauce, cheese and other toppings are added sparingly to provide additional flavors without overwhelming you with toppings. I’ve visited a few times over the years but on my recent visit I ordered the Piccola, which is topped with tomato sauce, provolone cheese, crumbled Italian sausage, onions, fresh mushrooms and black olives. Being the carnivore that I am, I would always prefer more sausage, but the pizza provided a nice balance of toppings, so no one topping over-powered the others. I’m finding more pizzerias around town trying to incorporate the Neapolitan style of making pizzas, which is encouraging. For dessert, you’ll find gelato, Tiramisu, and a flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. The menu here is simple. The atmosphere is casual. A nice change of pace from the usual fine-dining experience at the Bartolotta restaurants but the quality is still present.
