I have never experienced such an abrupt manner as when I unwittingly«walked in» to the Wayland village barbers. Excuse me for not knowing the rules, but all I was looking for was a quick trim. A very large muscular chap curtly stated«no walk-ins» I took him at his word as he did not appear to be a person to mess with and promptly left. I am a newbie in town but this is not customer service, nor a way to conduct your business. I could not see any signs in the window to state that walk-ins were not accepted, nor did I see a telephone to contact for appointments. I have to award 1 star as there is no other appropriate level.

Went to Village Barber during posted business hours and they were not open. Went again and found them getting there a couple hour late. Was told they had an appointment. Cam again and found the shop open, but no one around. Waited for a while and someone came from the basement and was told they had an appointment; I notice the book showed one at 11:00. I looked up another barber, called to confirm they did walk-ins, went there, waited, got a haircut, went on my way and passed Village Barber, noting that it was not yet 11:00… Can’t say much about the barbering skills, but the business model seems — a bit elitist…

My husband and I relocated to Natick in September for his job in the military. He gets his haircut twice a month and until today has been unable to find ANYONE who can give a good consistent fade and cut on the top. He would end up with lines, uneven sides, tapering that is an inch away from his natural lines, strangely cut bangs etc… We went here today on his lunch and he got a GREAT fade and haircut and the owner, I forgot his name, as well as his associate were both very nice.

Perfect local barber. Quick, excellent haircuts every time. Ken is personable and listens to what you’re looking for. Couldn’t ask for more.

I received one of the best cuts that I have ever gotten at this quiet little 2 man barber shop. They listen to what you say, and have a precise attention to detail. There is no rush as they perfect your cut.

Great haircuts in a comfy environment. The owner, Ken, is very friendly and talkative but doesn’t let the conversation get in the way of a quick, efficient haircut. $ 17, not bad. There are TVs there, usually tuned to ESPN. I’ve had my haircut by three different guys there and I’ve been happy with each of them. Appointments available, walk-ins also accepted.
