Fri Guyz

Let’s talk. The wings are what I have tried from here, and in the Wayne area, these guyz of fris have some seriously good wings. The wings are large and in charge. 12 wings are enough to fill a man’s stomach with chicken, his mouth with spice, and his heart with warmth.
The delivery process was a little messed up, which leads to the four star review, but the delivery girl was very nice and made up for the mistake by bringing back the correct order fairly quickly.
The Cajun dry rub was my favorite, but you also can’t go wrong with their normal buffalo or spicy buffalo.
At some places, you have to be wary of the boneless wings. They are made through mysterious means of meat processing and so on so forth. Ya never know when you’re getting chicken McNuggets covered in the house buffalo sauce. BUT at Fri Guyz, the boneless wings are on point. They are delicious and tender. They taste like pieces of chicken breast with light breaking and sauce.
Try the wings for sure. I’ll be back to expand on their menu.

We ordered wings for four people tonight for the first time from Fri Guyz. Unfortunately, they sent us an order of buffalo wings instead of an order of barbecue wings, and didn’t send extra sauce with one order of wings where it was requested. I immediately called and the order was quickly corrected and delivered to us within 15 minutes. I didn’t even mind the mistake because it was very quickly corrected, and the wings were delicious! They were a great size, cooked just right so the meat falls off the bone rather than having to pry it off if they were overdone, and the sauce was great. Spicy buffalo has a great kick to it! And the Cajun dry rub has great flavor, but also is pretty spicy. I would certainly order again from this place. 6 wings is plenty because of how large they are. Will be back!

It was late on a Friday night and my girlfriend had an overwhelming craving for a cheesesteak. I did not want to disappoint her, so I consulted Unilocal and other online resources looking for the best possible options at that hour. I came across Fri Guyz who appeared to specialize in cheesesteaks. We got in the car and drove 25 minutes to Wayne and arrived at about 10:20pm. From the outside they appeared closed, but they are supposed to be open till 11:00pm. She waited in the car while I went to check if they were open. I peaked my head inside and asked the two guys behind the counter if they were still open and they said «yes, come on in». I said I would back in less than one minute. I returned to the car and told my girlfriend that they are indeed open and we exited the car. When we got to the door, it was locked. I was pretty sure they were playing a joke on us, but when I looked in the window, all the lights turned off. I took out my phone and called them, but they ignored my three phone calls. It look me less than two minutes to walk to the car, get my girlfriend and come back. They told me they were open, they KNEW I was coming RIGHT back, but in just 90 seconds, they locked their doors and shut off their lights! Not to mention the fact that this was at 10:25pm, 35 minutes before their scheduled closing time which is both posted on the door and on their phone message. I have NEVER been so poorly treated and insulted by any establishment in my life like I was at this one. We ended up going to Positano a few blocks away and having an amazing dining experience. If you choose to come here late night, do not bank on them actually being open when you get there, and if they are actually open, do not plan on being treated kindly. Don’t give them the chance to treat you the way they treated us… stay away.

Best wings we’ve had since we moved to jersey from Rochester (in 5 years)! Plus the service is awesome and Lou the owner is such a nice guy! Our go to!
Favorite wing sauces: Thai chili, spicy and classic buffalo!

Ordered some very pricy wings and fries and shrimp. Got home and was very disappointed because the menu described the shrimp in a different light. Everything was soggy and very oily. I also felt the portions were small for the price. Never ordering from here again. Also the staff was rude when I called on the phone because I thought I got the wrong shrimp. I think all the great reviews on Unilocal are friends and family definitely sub three star restaurant.

Great menu selections from a large and varied menu of lunch and dinner specialities. I had the Fri Giyz Philly with plain Fries and it was very satisfying and delicious! Nice in and out lunch place with most folks taking orders to go. 5 tables and one booth is the only seating available.

They have really good wings and the best mozzarella sticks Ive ever had but don’t get the free side order of fries from Unilocal,they’re soggy and gross.
I used to order delivery whenever my mom didn’t cook or just when I was in the mood because I cant drive yet but they haven’t been delivering lately which is extremely annoying. The only tip I have if they even read these is to have multiple delivery people so that they can actually say they deliver too.

We were really excited to try the different cheese steaks and fries as the menu looks great, but we were underwhelmed — so much so that we probably won’t be back. There wasn’t as much meat as we thought there should be, the vegetables seemed frozen, and the fries were just ok. The young staff and very loud tv didn’t help. A little more effort and fresh ingredients might do the trick.

I really like this place but, like many others have said, there’s just way too much bread for a cheesesteak that it sometimes overpowers the sandwich. It’s a shame because the meat tastes good, but it’s hard to enjoy it biting through a thick roll. Definitely won’t stop me from going back, but I’m hoping they start getting their rolls from someplace else.

The only reason this place is getting one star is because their Italian meat spices were a decent blend but what I took home was missing a few major components to my order such the aoli that was supposed to hide the dry meat they gave me and my side of fries. Thanks guys for a whole lot of nothing.

Just found my new favorite dining establishment in Wayne, and probably my new favorite guilty pleasure. This is the place to go after a few weeks of working out hard and eating healthy and it’s time to spoil your taste buds and tummy with some delicious All-​American food that also has its own unique twist.
Highly recommend the Hulk Smash while supplies last (and I sure hope it does). A burger made out of ground pork belly. Genius! Pure genius!

I’ll wait until my second visit to give them a 5 Star. Friendly staff and food comes out quick. My buddy and I ordered 2 Cheesteaks, Sweet Potato Fries and Wings. It was great and the Cheesesteaks are big and full. Nice spot near William Paterson Univ. Will come here again for sure. FYI, everything on their menu looks good so it’ll be hard to pick. They have about like 8 to 10 variety of fries to choose from.

Second visit was spot on. Food is great here and service is fast and friendly. Can’t complain.

Went for lunch with my daughters. Food is fine. we had the shrimp aioli PO boy sandawhich, loaded bacon fries. Cheesesteak and boneless naked wings. We could not e at again until 7 PM.
Mostly young guys were there, this is not healthy food. But if you want fried decadent and delicious fried food here is you joint! You will regret every delicious bite. I just wish they had beer! :-)

Best wings and cheesesteaks I ever had anywhere. Everyone is so sweet, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone. Best EVER!!!

If it wasn’t for my ridiculous cholesterol levels, I’d eat here everyday. Also, that I live in NY.
They have GREAT wings, and I’m a big wing fan. They are juicy and very large. The sauce can get a little runny (the teriyaki garlic is FANTASTIC)
The chicken cheese steaks are also better than the beef ones, but they are both very good. They serve vanilla coke which isn’t available everywhere.
The ONLY thing bad about this place is the awful font scheme they used for their logo, it looks like something out of clipart.
Even the salads were great! Never once had a bad experience here and I will continue going as long as my girlfriend lets me!

I found myself in Wayne around lunch time and I have been reading about this place and who does not love a good cheese steak? I stopped into this tiny place. It seems like a hang out for the local high school eating french fries. I ordered the Friguys Dip. their name was on it, it should be good.
The guys were pleasant. I got it home and the dip saved my life from choking to death.
This was a bread sandwich with a slight spread of some kind of meat product. It was so dry I had to use the dip. I broke out the tape; the «sandwich» was almost 2 ½″ thick and the «meat» was less that ½″ in the center and less than ¼″ along the side, barely any cheese. I might have given them a second star if the bread was any good. I threw it out. An $ 8 waist and no lunch, still looking for a good cheese steak…

Was walking by and decided to try this place. Tried their wings and their cheesesteak. We also tried their fries with gravy. I should have known I was in trouble when I could smell the really old oil frying the fries and wings. The cheese steak meat was worse than steak ums. The wings were ok, but the old oil added some flavor to the wings which I didnt care for. The fries werent bad, but again, the old oil could be tasted on the fries. I usually have an iron stomach, but this place actually really hurt me afterwards. Can not recommend this place.

I may be ignorant when it comes to cheesesteaks as I mainly consume a plant based diet but is cheese sauce typically served on these? I really thought it was real cheese…
Anyway, came here for my boyfriend a few nights ago… seemed like something different than diner food. He ordered a plain cheesesteak and some naked wings.
I had gone in with him and was sitting at a booth adjacent to the «kitchen area». What I saw was disgusting… people sneezing, zero gloves being worn and baskets dropping on the ground and not being recleaned!!! The countertops looked like they hadn’t seen sanitizer since it’s opened.
As for the food, my boyfriend’s appetite was lost. He said it was just mediocre for a cheesesteak but are it very wearily.
I don’t know if this is typical of this establishment but still when you run any kind of place that involves food, I expect it to at least look clean ALL THE TIME!

Ok. If you love cheesesteaks and Italian fries, this is your spot.
1) The cheesesteaks are the best in the area. Considering there are several options.
2) They have lots of selections when it comes to fries. I will recommend Italian or Disco fries.
3) Check in on Unilocal and get 15% off on cheesesteaks.
4) They have an amazing hot sauce.

The décor is very clean looking and modern. The place has a fire theme where the walls are painted to look like fire.
As the name of the place is Fri Guyz, they do offer a big selection of fries with different toppings. They even have a fry dish with Taylor ham, egg, and cheese.
They have an even bigger selection of cheese steaks; chicken and steak. They also have something called «Gut Busters» which I didn’t on this visit, but sound very good; think I’m going to have the «Shrimp Po Boy» next time!
I got the black and blue cheese steak which had rib eye steak blue cheese and bacon. The cheese steak itself was pretty good, they give you a good amount of steak and the steak is cooked well done.
The wife got BBQ wings which looked pretty good! The cool part is they offer boneless or bone in wings, which is great if you’re a neat freak like me.
Our food took a long time to come out, but it is literally their second day being open and I’m sure they have some links to work out.
I’m not a big dessert guy but I did see an interesting selection of desserts like, «Grilled PB&J», «Cookie Dough Quesadillas».
