Maggie Moo’s

This is one of the best ice cream shops I’ve ever been to. The owner is the sweetest woman ever and loves her customers. Definitely recommend. I find myself going there at least twice a week because it’s that good. Definitely a place you need to visit!

This was my first ever visit to a Maggie Moos. It was 5:45pm on a Saturday. I entered the empty store and reviewed the selections. They have ice cream plus two sorbet selections of raspberry and mango but nothing fancy compared to a Dairy Queen. I chose raspberry sorbet in a regular sized cup with my choice of no toppings. It seemed a bit expensive for something much that’s much cheaper at the supermarket but it’s a good place for implulse buying on a hot summer day.

Very sweet workers, delicious ice cream, and the custom cake they made for my dad’s birthday came out phenomenal!!! Definitely impressed.

Avoid this place at all costs seems like a pretty harsh way to start a review, especially for an ice cream place, but that’s how I feel about this place. I have only been there once so maybe my trip was a dud but I won’t be going back.
I order a scoop of one of the ice creams in the cases. The ice cream was really expensive but I figured it was premium ice cream and okay for a nice treat. There isn’t really seating in the store so my friends and I went outside and were forced to loiter outside the place as we ate our ice cream. The ice cream had a really funky chemical taste and to top it off there was a hair in it! So not worth the money or the calories.

This ice cream palor’s strength is in the hand mixed ice cream dishes and cones. The endless combinations of ice cream and mix-​ins give a good amount of choice for dessert. The number of choices can be overwhelming and there are some suggestions for different combinations to try. However, I suggest being a little adventurous and try some of your own combinations. Personally I have avoided items that are more mundane such as milkshakes, plain ice cream, etc. I have on occasion had a cake from here and they are constructed of actual cake and ice cream with certain mix-​ins. The texture of the frozen cake can be a little dense for some, but it tasty. If ordered ahead, a custom cake can be made for a special occasion.

This is the first of these stores I have seen. Since there are a lot of them listed, I assume it’s a franchise. Maybe Dairy Queen isn’t good enough for the younger generation.
I tried a milk shake which was fine but maybe not worth $ 4.65 plus tax. Nice enough décor for an ice cream shop. Behind the counter didn’t seem organized very well. If it was me I would invest in a Dunkin.
