Hubby and I have gone there several times and have always enjoyed ourselves. The fish and chips are very good. The crab cakes are excellent. At our last visit we had bruscetta as an app. it was nice and garlicky and it tasted fresh even though it’s a little early for tomatoes. The staff is always friendly.

Fantastic $ 6 lunch specials. You can get 2 crab cakes, coleslaw, and a side. I usually have someone pick up a lunch set to go and it tastes great even heated in the oven(it’s the best late-night snack ever). If you are able to eat there during lunch, I HIGHLY recommend the shrimp puff — it’s flaky and delicious for a great price. Ordering a la carte can get pricey. I’m just waiting and hoping for them to come out with fried clam strips… until then, it’s crabcakes galore for moi. Closed on Sundays.

WOW –the fat kid strikes again! This place was awesome! Nice deli counter full of the days catch! Had the crab cake, stuffed shrimp, and the onion rings! WOW! The crab cake was full of BIG lump crab and so was the shrimp. The place was clean, the guy behind the counter(the cook, server, and the cashier all in one) was friendly and helpful. I don’t know why I was the only person in the place when the food is so good. Ill be back!!!

Yumyum. I came to Manny’s Place over the weekend to pick up some seafood on my way home from King of Prussia. It’s a very convenient location– just off of 202. I spent $ 55 and I purchased 2 coconut shrimp, 3 broiled crabcakes, 3 crab-stuffed shrimp and a salmon pesto puff pastry, all to go. The service was a bit slow, but it was because just one guy was working– and he was making food both for the dining room and preparing our food for us to go. He was trying to work quickly, but 2 people working probably would have been ideal. After I ordered, he fried the food and packaged it up for me– including sauce for the coconut shrimp. He also included cooking instructions in the bag(how long to heat everything up), which was great. We ate all the food that night and it was delicious! The coconut shrimp was a bit sweeter than normal, but I still liked it(my friend thought it was a bit too sweet). The broiled crabcakes were basically just huge lumps of delicious crab– amazing. The crab-stuffed shrimp was another favorite of everyone… I wish I had more right now! The salmon pesto puff pastry was good, but you couldn’t really taste the pesto. I definitely plan to be back soon to try more things on their menu, and bring home more of their crabcakes and crab-stuffed shrimp!

Pretty good place, definitely would go back. My fiancé and I went for dinner on a Thursday night. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is very welcoming. I asked the server what she recommended and she told me that they are known for their crab cakes, so that is what I got. It also came with one side and coleslaw. The coleslaw was really good, but the side I got was lacking. I got the lobster mashed potatoes and they tasted like boxed mashed potatoes with lobster thrown in. The lobster was very generous, but it didn’t make up for the grainy tasting potatoes. My fiancé LOVED his meal. He got the fish and chips and I definitely had meal envy. It wasn’t heavily fried and it was a nice meaty fish. I love the fact that Manny’s is a BYO. The menu offers a lot of fresh fish and I cannot wait to try other menu items.

This place is awesome… Very reasonably priced and great selection of hand-crafted fresh seafood items including panko-crusted scallops and jumbo lump crab cakes. The sides are also incredible with lobster mashed potatoes, hush puppies, and mac and cheese balls being some of the more unique items. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

Wow — what a find! We felt lucky to have stumbled upon this place on a long drive home from the beach. The owner gace us a «tour» of the fresh great looking sefaood possibilities in the cold case, and was so hospitable. They specialize in crab cakes, which my daughter had, and it was put of this world. She had the panko breaded, it was just fabulous crab, frsh with no fillers. I had the fish and chips — best ever. The Lemon Cucumber water came at the recommendation of the owner. I was skeptical, m but it was refreshing and delicious. We were pleased also with the reasonable prices for such great service(fast, personable), wonderful food, and nice atmosphere(attractive, casual, but very nice and meticulously clean) Dinner for 2 for $ 25.00. can’t beat it.

We have been looking for a seafood restaurant like this in the suburbs for years. Fresh, delicious basic seafood. I had the flounder, my wife had the oysters. Also the clam chowder was delicious as were the mushrooms stuffed with crab. The sides also were wonderful. I had the mashed sweet potatoes and my wife had the onion rings. They opened and chilled our wine for us. Reminded us of restaurants we like on Hilton Head Island. Very reasonably priced, too.

Well thank goodness there’s another lunch option in the Gateway shopping center, the place was sorely lacking. :) Went here for lunch for the first time the other day, and was fairly impressed. The menu had a pretty decent offering of sandwiches, salads, and platters. They have a $ 6 lunch menu where you can pick one main, and I think one possibly two sides. Portions are on the small side on that menu, but considering the price and that it’s just for lunch — not bad. I got a broiled crabcake hoagie with potato salad. It appears that everything comes with coleslaw; that was just standard, and pretty liquidy. Potato salad was nothing to write about. But on to the crab! Definitely lived up to expectations. It’s not so much a crabCAKE, but more like gigantic lumps of crab the size of my eyeballs that were cooked to perfection and molded together through sheer will instead of mayo. Also of note, their sandwiches are nestled in a choice of conshy bakery rolls or LeBus multigrain bread — both delicious choices. Also, the two ladies working the counter were so nice! When we went to order, the ladies asked if we had ever been before, and upon hearing no, came out from behind the counter to walk us through their selections, how they make some of their food, the differences between several similar items, how to reheat items at home. We were informed that for dinner, there is more table-cloth service, with servers and a BYOB option! There are only like 7 tables in the restaurant, with two tables for outdoor seating. Lunch for two was a little over 25 bucks for just over the counter service, but quality was well worth it. Also have to agree with others that it is NOT a quick lunch! They warn you when you order that it will be at least 15 minutes to receive your food. All things considered, I thought the food and restaurant hovered around 3.5 stars, but I was pleased enough by the customer service to bump it up to 4. Will be back!

Having lived in Baltimore it’s difficult to find True Maryland Crab cakes that use little to no filler and all lump crab meat that was hand-picked and not out of a can, but Manny’s does a good job though…

You get a pretty good amount of crab if you get the fried crab cake hoagie platter, plus fries = lots of fried stuff for lunch. My coworkers got the broiled crab cake and it also looked pretty good. Either way, you get a good amount of crab for the lunch prices. This place usually isn’t too crowded, but the orders take some time, so come here for a relaxing lunch with some coworkers.

Manny’s has solid lunch specials(they were from 11AM to 2PM Mondays through Fridays, last I checked). I took advantage of a $ 5 special where I got an impressive 3 oz. shrimp puff(Grade A), sizable crispy onion rings, and cole slaw. The puff was delicious, the shrimp tender, with a creole sauce on the side. Breading peeled off the onions, but their massiveness made up for that. With my drink, total was about $ 7(credit cards accepted, but $ 10 minimum). Their interior’s spacious and attractive, and service is friendly. Eat there or get everything to go. If you stay, there’s Wi-Fi but no idea if it’s free. I’ll be back for their crabcake hoagie.

Broiled crab cake hoagie. That’s the money shot. Forget the fried crab cake stuff, you’re just wasting good ‘ol jumbo lump crab meat. The only problem is It just takes a while. If you got 30 mins for lunch, don’t be coming here.

For those of us working outside the city around Wayne or King of Prussia, Manny’s is a great place for crab. Lobster mash potatoes, Mac and Cheese with Crab, Crab Cakes, Crab Cakes on a hoagie roll with tomato.etc. the place is legit. Even though the Gateway Shopping Center parking lot can get EXTREMELY annoying with the yuppies driving around like they were taking their first drivers test, Manny’s Place is a great place to add to the area lunch list.
