The Patio Bistro

I would rate the food but it’s been half an hour and we haven’t received it yet. When asked how much longer staff replied, «It shouldn’t be too much longer. I mean, we’re trying».
It’s a deli. Come on. We stopped in for a quick bite during our road trip and we’re still sitting here… waiting for our food! Crap!!! Another patron just came in from the patio and said he’s been waiting an hour. Wow!!!
Don’t waste your time with this place. Food might be good but we’ll never know.

I really like this place. Freindly abd great food.
The desert are amaizing.

One of my favorite places to eat lunch in Waynesville on a beautiful day. Nice patio away from the traffic. Light lunch fare. I generally prefer the wraps or salads as the quiche is a bit much. Also dog friendly with room for you to sit out of the way with your pup.

My wife had the half a chicken sandwich and creamy tomato soup my was decent. The soup was quite flavorful, the chicken salad was nothing special, but the bread was fresh (per her). The price was a little out of line at $ 8.95 but nothing like the $ 10.95 reuben sandwiches my brother and I brother ordered! We had looked at the outside menu with no prices and were shocked when it came to paying the bill. The sandwiches were again, okay, but nothing to write home about…
A much better reuben can be found in town for less money!

The Patio was just what we were looking for while spending the day in Waynesville. The quiche was incredible and the coconut cake in the window proved irresistible. Our dog Sophie was welcome in the beautiful garden patio, making it the perfect spot for us. Definitely 5 stars!

Absolutely WONDERFUL, tasty food at The Patio. I always get a slice of quiche and a cup of the tomato bisque. I can always depend on the taste of the food to be the same.
However, their service is far from perfect. The past 4 times I’ve visited, something was wrong with my order, from being charged for a drink when I just asked for a cup of water (and it was «too difficult» to offer a refund, so I just kept the drink), to not receiving the pita chips that come with the soup. I’ve also noticed the quiche portions are smaller and my cup of soup has been less full each time. I just want what I payed for!
Overall, wonderful food. Absolutely great. But they need to retrain their employees or at least have them repeat back orders to the customers. And don’t skimp on food!

Hummus wrap was delicious! Special (curry chicken salad) also quite tasty.
Order at counter and enjoy a nice, relaxing healthy lunch in the beautiful patio area.
Worth dropping in if browsing the shops on main street in Waynesville, for sure!

Fantastic food! Love the garden atmosphere– inside it feels more like you are in a friend’s kitchen. really wonderful food tasty fresh tomato soup and an amazing veggie panini– yes, thank you. This is a definite for lunch & shopping here.

Cute outside, makes you think you are in a secret garden. Really fresh food, all fresh. Both sandwiches were served hot and tasty. Wonderful little café with friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The patio roast beef sandwich was very delicious and my bf got the italian pastrami special and he said it was «the best sandwich ever» Wonderful menu with various soups/​salads and sandwiches.

Great little café to grab lunch. Especially on a nice day! They have good deli sandwiches and I like the pasta salad side.

Yummy! I am excited to go back once the weather improves. The inside of the Bistro is very small and cramped and can get loud, we had to eat inside when we visited because it was cold and rainy outside. I had the famed Tomato Bisque which was very good, rich and creamy with chunks of tomato. I also had the daily special which was a Greek Grilled Cheese — I wouldn’t call it a grilled cheese, but it was very good. It had artichokes, cucumbers, tomatoes, melted provolone and a feta cheese spread. J had the Ruben and potato salad. He said the sauerkraut was a little sour for his tastes but that the sammie was good. All of the cakes looked delicious but I was way too stuffed to indulge. This place has a ton of vegetarian options, from salads, and sandwiches to homemade quiche. The other perk is that the patio is pet friendly so I am looking forward to bringing the pooch and doing the patio sitting thing.

Small café, but staff is beyond friendly! We walked in around 12:30pm & grabbed the last table while looking at the menu. We had found out any sandwich could be made on Gluten Free Bread & that is why we came here. Hubby ordered the BLT Chicken Cesar Wrap (he isn’t GF) w/​potato salad, I had the Turkey Melt on GF Bread w/​potato salad, & son had Grilled Cheese on GF w/​GF Chips. I think there was only about 10 minutes of the time we were there when there was not a line or someone ordering at the counter. Our food arrived at our table in a decent time & the ones that were to be hot were indeed still hot that you could see the steam, definitely what was needed on a cold winter day. We all agreed that the food was fabulous! I’m not sure where they get their GF bread but it was nice & fluffy not dense like some other breads.

Came in on a recommendation, left very happy. The tomato bisque may have been the best I’ve ever had, seriously. Sandwiches were also good and everyone in my party was very happy with their food. Brownies were also delicious. If you’re walking around downtown waynesville it’s a great place to stop and have lunch

Wonderful, fresh food. Visited twice and both times have been excellent. The outside patio area is lovely. Tomato bisque and turkey melt are to die for.

I enjoyed a very good fajita chicken wrap yesterday at The Patio Bistro, and really appreciated that their fruit salad was a good selection of high quality, perfectly ripe fruit. They have a great outdoor dining area!

Love this place… Always stop in when I’m in Waynesville. Fast, courteous service. Outside seating, great sandwiches and soups. Good deserts too
