This place is terrible. Ordered standard breakfast fare: two eggs, bacon, hash browns and a biscuit. The bacon was burnt, hash browns had a disgusting taste to them like they had been cooked in really old oil. They never even brought my biscuit. And all during this time I watched a sketchy looking dude come in from the outside, head straight to the bathroom, and he came out 20 minutes later looking high as a kite. Avoid, avoid.

We had a late lunch here two days ago, and it was quite tasty. Tri tip sandwiches with a very good home made beef soup. Despite the overall dinginess and sticky food caked menus, we were happy enough with the food that we returned this morning for breakfast.(It helps these people that they are the only restaurant in the whole town that keeps regular hours. On that subject, Weaverville is downright weird. Where else would you find a deli and coffee shops closed on a Holiday weekend?) So our toast was like rubber, my chicken fried steak was not breaded, the gravy had huge lumps of unmixed flour floating in it, grease streaks ran all over through the gravy. My wife ordered corned beef hash and it was served mixed thoroughly into the hash browns. There was probably only about 4 tablespoons of hash apparent in the whole thing. We refused it, and they charged us 3.30 for our toast.

I don’t know if the time I went was a fluke, but we had to wait over an hour to get our meal and when it came out it was pretty lackluster. The waitstaff was nice but didn’t address our table at all about the delay so we kept asking ourselves if we should stay or go. The delay set us back a lot on our road trip.

My parents and I go here evey time we pass through Weaverville. We are going out of town again and got breakfast, I ordered the #1 which has 2 eggs, hashbrowns, 4 pieces of bacon, and toast. My hashbrowns and English muffin were burnt. The eggs were pretty good, but my favorite part of the meal was the bacon. I think next time I’ll try French toast, pancakes or waffles…

My buddies and I were spending the night at a nearby motel and decided to have chow here. We arrived around 6:30 on a Wednesday night(the place was only about 1⁄3 full), and were seated and served promptly. The food was okay for the price, nothing spectacular but not disappointing either. Just your typical middle of the road diner food. Our server, Tasha, checked up on us frequently and was super friendly and delightful. We also came back for breakfast the next morning and had a similar dining experience. On another note, some of the other reviewers have commented that the staff here is racist. I’m Asian and I did not experience any form of racism while I was here. Just thought that might be worth mentioning.

We dined here several times during our recent stay. The staff was friendly, competent and efficient. The dining area is clean, as are the restrooms. The food was fresh, tasty, well prepared and very reasonably priced. Everything we ordered was fresh and made from scratch. The parking is on the street wherever you can find a spot. Highly recommend dining if you are in the mood for home style cooking, fair prices and friendly service.

My husband and I(along with half the town) eat at the Nugget often. We like Sunday dinner especially. Last Sunday they were out of their excellent pot roast special so I ordered the steak! Grass fed beef, couldn’t have been tastier with steamed veggies and crispy salad, cornbread made by Bob. Bob also makes all kinds of great pies from scratch. My husband had the grilled chicken breast with lemon pepper sauce. Delicious! I also like the grilled pork chops and the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, a real comfort food kind of meal. Their burgers are also made from grass-fed beef. Most people never try anything but the burger or breakfast, but, trust me, if you do you are in for a treat.

The Nugget is my favorite place to go for breakfast in Weaverville. I visit once a year to go fishing. The food is great. The restaurant is simple and far from fancy but it has a lot of charm. The pancakes, eggs and sausage are delicious.

Great little spot for breakfast. Service was a little slow but it was one waitress and a few tables. All in all good.

Awful. Just terrible. Tasteless food. Moldy fruit. Add any other words you can think of to describe something that’s disgusting and there you have it. If you’re hungry just skip the meal. Id rather go hungry than eat at the nugget ever again.

Awesome breakfast for cheap and hot meals. Staffs always short with conversation but what do expect from a breakfast waiter. Get the two egg special and sausage patty not link!

Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was not great. Nothing was hot when we received it. One of us asked for warm biscuits and gravy after it originally arrived cold, which came back obviously microwaved. French toast was good but not hot. The regular toast made us laugh because it was really just warmed bread. Eggs were good and made well to order all around. I would not recommend the breakfast here and we won’t go back unless it’s the only place open when we travel through next time.

Cruz-in through town on a Sunday morning looking for breakfast, this seems to be the only place open. Friendly attentive adult staff quick to bring coffee, water and refills. Thought i would try the corned beef and hash, OOPS, wrong selection. Greasy crispy hash browns with tiny bits of corned beef. I wasn’t kidding when said«tiny bits» The toast had enough butter on it for half a loaf of bread. The eggs were good and so was the coffee. Service was great and the price was fine. Décor is old and a little run down but the locals seem to fill the place.

This restaurant is RACIST. I went there last week with my boyfriend who is Mexican. They told us to sit down but then ignored us until we were starting to wonder what was happening. A white couple came in and the waitress greeted them warmly, walked them to their seats, gave them a menu. Then she went to get them water and while she set it down she looked over at glared at me. I got the message. I hope the rest of you can use this to save yourself the grief. Boycott this place.

Gave this place another visit. Will be our last. Quality of food went down and prices went up. Flies everywhere including on customers’ heads. Horrible. :(

This restaurant has HORRIBLEFOOD and they are RACIST. The best part of our $ 30 breakfast was ONLY the toast bread. They should close it down and build a BLACKBEARDINERRESTAURANT.
