Di-Co moved me a few years ago and it was not just a bad experience, it was a nightmare. After telling them to be careful with some very expensive floral arrangements they ended up dumping the entire vase upside down and walking all over the silk flowers. I also suffered a bad cut on my hand from my food processor blade, that they had put in a box along with sharp knives, unwrapped and then covered with wadded up paper. When I put my hand down in the box I cut myself. It was raining the day of my move and they dropped my sofa cushions in the rain puddles. They ruined my rug by slicing the twin which held them tied in a roll with a box cutter. The workers of course also cut through my rug. I could go on and on, but long story short it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The owner ignored my complaints.

We hired Di-Co to both pack our house and move 45 minutes North. While the movers themselves were pleasant they certainly didn’t have a level of professionalism equal to the premium Di-Co charges for their services– they weren’t hustling to get the job done. My understanding is that Di-Co WAS a great company, but now the owner is aloof and not that interested in customer satisfaction. His workers are underpaid and trucks under serviced(one would not go above 35 mph and the other was not working on the day of the move). When we unpacked our boxes we found some really silly things wrapped in bubble wrap like my daughter’s plastic toys and hair ties. We were paying hourly(and while this may have been where I went wrong, I was going based on their online reputation and a referral from someone else we worked with). Having packed the house, they knew how much space they would need to move everything and only showed up with one truck so a one day move became a two day move(requiring me to take off of work an extra day). Not to mention having to go rent a U-Haul to finish loading what they left behind. Our headboard was scuffed up and while the head mover said the owner would take care of it, I was asked to file a claim when I called about it(which I did), but have not heard back in months. This is why I am leaving a negative review. I was hoping that by paying a premium(in comparison to other quotes I received) the move(during a busy time in our lives) was going to go smooth. Unfortunately, I was totally unimpressed.
