Kirkland’s always smells awesome. I always walk into this place but have only purchased their scent sachets and Christmas décor. Their home items are usually overpriced therefore my visits are usually quick. The store is crowded with items to suit the taste of many but I for one have not found that special something that catches my eye. I won’t give up on Kirkland’s because of their variety I am sure that one day I will walk in and find that one special item. If your sensitive to strong smells I do not recommend you walk in to the store or any of their locations as they all have a heavy stock of sachets and the smell can be over powering. Its a great place to browse and get décor ideas. I am excited that they recently opened a Kirkland’s right next to Pier 1 on Garth Rd. I will keep stopping by and filling my nostrils with great scents.

Beware if you have any allergies before entering this store. There were 2 sets of double doors open and you can still smell all their scented aromas outside. When we both left we could taste their environment in our mouths. They do have a lot of decorative items. Even with their sales it seemed a bit expensive. Quite a few women were shopping and buying. Just not my cup of tea.

I was very surprised that this store was very unwelcoming to my children. My husband and I had our two children with us in the store while looking for a fruit basket. When they were looking at items in an aisle about 10 feet away from us, a sales representative asked me to keep an eye on my children. Then, when they sat down on a metal shelf waiting for us(the kind that is 3 inches off the ground, sturdy, and just keeps merchandise off the floor), the same sales representative told them to stand up. I’m ok with stores having guidelines on what children can do, or can’t do, in their stores, but I felt the tone used was unnecessarily rude. I’m not sure why this particular sales representative was unhappy with them since they were sitting still away from anything fragile and talking with each other, but I was made to feel very unwelcomed. We put our fruit basket down and left without purchasing anything. I will not be returning to this store again.

I like this store for 2 reasons: they have reasonable landscaping art and they have cute furniture. The art was all marked on sale when we came. Some went from being $ 29 to $ 19. I mean, these aren’t no tiny pictures – they are wall pictures. Meaning they are big. I saw a few flower ones I liked for my room. Also, there was this cute pink lounging chair that can be used in a room. Too bad my room is tiny. not enough space. The store itself smelled good, it didn’t have a funny odor to it either. Now, they have little knick-knacks in the front that are overpriced. I spotted a case for the contacts – it was cute, yes, but it was also $ 8. I know of this location and the one in Pasadena.
