Been going here for a while. Came in today and it stunk bad. The staff doesn’t know what is going on at all. On top of that they have a bug sticky tape trap over the toppings part of the prep area. Will not be coming back to this place anymore. Steer clear

Horrible management. Over charged me for my sub and then did not want to honor my coupon. Will never go here again because the service is awful and stale bread with soggy lettuce made me want to throw up.

I hate this location. They are always so stingy on their portion size on the sandwiches. I feel like I have to order double everything to get a normal sized sandwich. I’m not really a big fan of their sandwiches to begin with. Their meat always tastes spongy or has a weird texture to it. I would go to firehouse subs down the road if you have the time.

Love the Philly at Lenny’s. However, we pulled up 25 minutes before posted closing time and were told they were closing. Will look for alternatives!

I was just starting to really like this place and, now, i will never go again. I stopped in to pick up some food to take home for my wife and me. I ordered a large turkey topped the«Lenny’s Way» and a small delux club with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. I usually check the order but the manager repeated the order back to me when he gave me the food so I took his word for it. I get home and the sizes were backwards(small turkey and large delux club). Oh well, we can work with that, but then we notice that the club was served the«Lenny’s Way» and no toppings on the turkey. The whole thing was a complete fail. I called the store just to let them know how bad they messed up and I was told that I was mistaken. I explained what I was looking at and, again, I was told I was wrong. They then asked me to send a picture to them to prove my order was wrong. Just to prove a point, I played the game and sent them the picture. I called back and they would not answer the phone. I finally got them on the phone(3 phone calls later) and they had nothing to say! Not even a «sorry!» I asked for the manager and I was told he was gone(I could here him talking in the background). When i finally did get the manager on the phone, I had to explain everything all over again and was finally told that I would get a discount when I came in next time and that I would just have to remind him and he would remember to give me a discount. I am not a big fan of spit in my food, so I never took him up on his offer and will never be back.

Went here for lunch a couple of days ago(after saying I wouldn’t go back). Used to have a line to the door by 11:30am on a Thursday, but there was no line today. It still felt like there was a line, since it took so long to give the order to the manager and wait for our sandwiches. You used to be in and out of line pretty quick because of the ordering process — made it as you went through the line. Now, the manager stands there and takes your order on some sort of ticket. Circling each item as he goes. After all of that, and the seemingly 10 minute wait for our sandwiches… The manager delivered our order to the table, and says«this one with hot relish, this one without.» The only problem? We both wanted hot relish, and it was clearly«circled» on the ticket since he left it on the table. Whatever… The employees used to greet you when you walked in and were very friendly. Now the vibe is like some control freak is running the place. Employees just working with their heads down not saying a word to customers. It’s very weird. Proceed with caution.

This new management kinda sucks. I came in around 10:24, 6 minutes before they open only because their open sign was on. The workers got right up to help me with my order but when it came time to pay, the manager was standing and playing with the register. After about 3 minutes of me awkwardly standing there waiting to pay, I sat down the manager finished what he was doing and walked away. Free meal, perhaps? But other than that, the food rocks every time. Their Philly cheesesteak never fails. Keep it up, compadres.

New management… a totally different set up. Not a good set up. But they still have awesome sandwiches! But took 10 min to get my sandwiches and they came wrong the first time :/

I ordered the club on a regular sub wheat bread. For a sub shop, their sandwiches are longer than I expected(they’re roughly 8 inches). It comes with turkey, bacon, and ham along with provolone cheese and any veggies you desire… except spinach-they don’t carry it. The sandwich is around 8 bucks along with tax.

I’ve been coming to this place since it opened… however, my last visit will probably be my last. For a couple of months leading up to the«incident», my coworkers and I had noticed a steep decline in quality. We used to go here for their cold italians and cheese steaks during lunch. We began to notice the dry, overcooked meats, poor workmanship and dried-out breads. On my last visit, my daughter and I arrived at about 6 pm for a quick dinner on a weeknight. She ordered a regular cheese steak and I ordered a regular italian. It took longer than usual, no biggie, but when it arrived, the cheese steak was a large! I shook my head as I tried to understand what the manager was trying to say as he walked away… oh well, their screwup we assumed. The bread on my Italian was so stale, you had to take sips of your beverage to get each bite down. After working through about half of it, I decided to just eat the deli meat inside it. My daughter’s cheese steak had the same stale bread and was split in such a way that the cut was on the side of the bun… with about an inch wide strip to serve as the other side. She opted to simply eat the meat, cheese and onions with a fork since the bread sucked so bad. We didn’t even attempt to take the other entire sandwich to go, it was so bad. I have more respect for my dog really… I witnessed 2 other patrons return their food during our visit. At the end of this, we get up to leave and the manager starts making an alarmed noise at a progressively louder volume. I turn around and see him standing there pointing at us. I walk over and ask him what he wants and he proceeds to accuse me of attempting to leave without paying the difference on the cheese steak, between the regular and large. I explain that I only ordered a regular, and assumed he was simply giving us the spoils of a mistake. He than begins to argue with me, stating that I’m not being truthful. Oh hell no… He pulls the poor girl who took our order over and starts to ask her to back him up. Eventually, by using her as a translator, I convince the jackass to dig the order slip out of the trash to prove I didn’t order a large. I then took the opportunity to inform him about how bad the meal was and their downhill trend. We cater the training classes I conduct with food from local businesses… Lenny’s used to be guaranteed a couple of orders a month. No longer. Fortunately I’ve found a much better option… Antonini’s just down the street.

Tried a Meatball sub & a Cheesesteak. Meatball was good… great flavor & the cheese was fresh. Cheesesteak — Lacked flavor & was kind of blah. If go back for the meatball & to try other subs, but not the cheesesteak.

Great subway alternative. Meat does taste better. Usually always clean when I go. I get the chicken Philly or cheese steak. Mile high turkey is good as well. I would recommend to my family and friends.

It’s a better Subway. Good subs. Now that Rotonto’s has gone belly-up I get my subs here. A good Philly Cheesesteak. Today it was a meatball. They’re a little slow with their hot sandwiches. Their buns are a little hard for me, but dem’s the breaks. ___ We’ve Eaten Out Every Meal for 25 years Usually take-out here

One thing that Lenny’s is known for is their homemade Chicken Salad Subs. The one I had on this particular day tasted like dirt! I made the manager aware and he apologized. Will think twice before ordering one again.

This location is awesome! I walked up at about 7:59(not knowing they closed at 8) and the guy working came and opened the door to welcome us. Even though they were closing, I did not feel rushed at all. Not the typical experience you expect when a restaurant is closing. I’ll definitely be going back(but not at closing).

This place used to be a weekend regular stop for us. The food doesn’t taste quite as good but decent. Usually run by a group of teenagers so the service is hit or miss. Today was a good day. Philly cheesesteak extra cheese.

I used to really like this Lenny’s location until it seemed that staff/mgmt. changed and it went downhill fast. I still went occasionally up until I found a razor sharp glass shard in the lettuce of my sandwich. it actually cut my finger open when I touched it to examine what it was. Now I will never go back.

This Lenny’s used to be great when they first opened and I would go at least once a week to get their club sub. HOWEVER, over the past several years they have been skimping on meat here. The sandwhich is half the size it used to be at the same cost. When working downtown I would go to the Lenny’s in the tunnel and they always loaded the sandwhich with correct amount of meat. So much so that it’d make me full whereas I’d still be hungry after eating the same sandwhich at this location. My advice: Go to another location or Antonini’s Subs a street down(Medical Center) they have more bang for your buck.

Lenny’s is very similar to Jersey Mike’s Subs, and on the same scale quality wise. They’re sandwiches feature deli meats which are sliced in front of you while you wait, and standard toppings as far as sandwich shops go. I ordered the turkey sandwich, despite being so close to Thanksgiving as it is. Add some lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard and the spicy relish and you have a satisfying sandwich sure to conquer any lunchtime appetite. Their sandwich isn’t as physically large as what you can find at Subway, but they stack the meat high and left me satisfied. Lenny’s also sells their own branded chips, but the sea salt & vinegar were nothing more than ordinary kettle cooked chips without a strong vinegar bite. The staff was friendly and prepared our order quickly. They probably could take it to another level if they were hit by a lunch rush, but today they simply staid in cruise control. Parking is plentiful as the lot for the strip center is large. A solid sandwich, and decent value. They’re no Mendocino Farms [they don’t pretend to be], and they’re definitely a higher quality sandwich than Subway or Quiznos.

I came to Lenny’s last week while visiting Houston and they offer a seemingly good selection of subs. I got the Philly cheese steak with all of the toppings and hot pepper relish. I’m not familiar with the other sub places in the Houston area but I think that Penn Station offers the best Philly cheese steak of any chain restaurant but this one was still very good. They do offer subs on a choice of white or wheat bread which is nice but it would be nice if they had more options.
