Went through the other day and had a bangin’ Dbl Cheese with bacon and jalepenos. My wife had the single version of the same. We are talking fresh, juicy, yummy. The place itself is a throwback that transported me to my childhood in a midwest farmtown that looked alot like Weir. Eorth the drive from Round Rock just for the burgers. Bbq was flippin yummy too! Go Git Sum!

Some things never change and the weir store is one of those places. They still have a damn good burger! We visit family right down the road so it is always one of our stops!

I have always stopped in the store during my long bicycle rides as they have bathrooms and cold drinks. I’d always wondered about the food in the restaurant part of the store. I’d always seen people seated and eating but reluctant to eat at a restaurant that is part convenience store. Well, yesterday I finally bit the bullet and went here for lunch. The Wednesday special is Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes, green beans(flavored with bacon), a dinner roll, and a piece of cake for dessert. I must say, I was pleased with my meal. The breading on the chicken fried steak was crispy and not greasy. It didn’t taste like they used old oil to fry with either, which will always ruin the taste of chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes were smooth with no lumps. They gravy was, I’m fairly certain, from a mix but it was a good gravy. The green beans were firm, not overcooked and limp, and the bacon pieces added a nice variation from the flavor of just plain green beans. The dinner roll was fresh and soft. It was cold(room temp) so the spread(margarine) didn’t melt when spread on top. It’s a yeast roll and seems that it came from a heat and eat package. The cake, I think it was spice cake, was good and a surprise as it wasn’t on the menu board for the daily special. Overall, I was more than satisfied with the meal, the taste and the service. I went back today, for the BBQ lunch plate and it was excellent. The brisket was tender and moist with a great smoked wood flavor. The sausage was flavorful, made locally(in Taylor) and wasn’t greasy. They also offer chicken but I didn’t have any. My friend that had the chicken said it was good. The potato salad and cole slaw weren’t made on site but were packaged. Overall the BBQ was surprisingly good. I will definitely return. The hamburgers I saw on other peoples plates looked phenomenal. I can’t wait until I have a chance to stop and have a burger. I think I’ll make a point to start my bike ride from the store and finish there also so I can get a burger after the ride. Should you go here to eat? Yes, definitely. If you go Wednesday for the lunch special, try to get there before noon as they get really busy during the typical lunch hour.

Decent food. The staff are all great people this is a great old fashioned gas station slash eatery. If you are looking for fine dining this is not it. But if you are looking for some good BBQ pizza or burgers it is worth a stop.

Great country feel, great people, courteous, respectful and know you by name. Great foods, bbq, breakfast fast foods, pizza. Basically everything that you want to eat and a gas station to boot.

Cheeseburger. The best in Williamson Co. Eat it there while it is still warm. I have tried to drive off to bring it home when I lived nearby. The smell of it in the car was too much for me. I would have it eaten before I got home and nearly had a wreck or two because I was not paying attention to anything but my burger.

We were out and about one day and couldn’t find any place to eat. We stopped by a gas station/hangout for the locals and asked where we could get a good burger. The elderly gentleman steered us to this place. We were both a little nervous as I don’t have an iron-clad stomach and don’t make a habit of eating in convenience stores/gas stations. I’m glad we decided to brave it. There is an actual small restaurant/grill inside. They most certainly have very good burgers and fries. We’ve been back since then and were tempted to try something else but their burgers were too good to pass up.
