Trader Joe’s

I always love coming to Trader Joe’s. My inner chef comes out with much assistance! It’s kind a like those monthly subscriptions for meals that you make easily however I can meander around the store and put together my meals for a third of the costs. This location is so friendly and child centered. Pizza nights always come from Trader Joe’s and I love the mini carts! They have so many great store brand products! Plus amazing flowers… That turn into great teachers gifts! The management happens to be superior; and if A product is inferior they will take care of it!

They have made a change recently to their system. So now I can no longer see what they’re ringing up. Given the numerous times I’ve caught things being charged improperly, I’m definitely not going back here.

Love this store and love TJ produce and products!
Beautiful, big, golden (now, now) and delicious individual avocados for under a buck. Usually find a couple that are ready to eat and grab a few more that get ripe and ready over the next couple of days. The secret is out! Tuesday ⁴⁄₅ update 1530 hrs or 3:30 pm — gone, sold out! Ryan checked in the back and said check back for more mañana!
Great prices: Clif Bars still at 99 cents. Whole Foods went up to $ 1.19 per bar as did Walmart to a $ 1.12.
Great ready to eat wraps and salads with a nice variety in the $ 4 – 6 range.
Tremendous selection of healthy cereals.
Their Greek Kalamata olive oil at $ 8.99 is the best!
Love their own non sulfite merlot priced perfect at $ 6.99.
Have met some amazing folks who work at this Trader Joe store.
Love their cashier Jamal (sorry if I misspelt your name) or Captain who was the cashier at 1500 hrs Sunday ⁴⁄₃ at the very first station by the door. Great energy, fun guy, very cool — a couple of older gentlemen behind me were grumbling about the line and what they feel TJ’s needs to do. Just smiling and having fun with all while giving amazing customer service.
Cashier Jon on Tuesday was cool and quick. Another great and happy person.
Had a great conversation with Susan about NY and the full of life and passion Liz about being Italian and the beautiful culinary heritage.
If you see a kid named Nicholas at the cashier spot or standing by the pomegranate green tea samples, don’t react to his perpetual worried look or pouting. Give him a hug and encourage him!
This is our local store in Wellington that is very convenient off 441 & Stribling and has 2 parking lots south and east of it. Watch out for us crazy Wellington drivers who don’t follow stop sign courtesy or pedestrians have the right of way. Just an extra 45 second pause and wait to behold the beautiful stuff at Trader Joe’s. Love it!

Great produce, great food and service. What more can you ask for? I love this place to come for odds and ends.

I love Trader Joes. They have awesome prepared foods, they have a 15 carb and 45 calorie wraps and they have a habanero wrap that my husband loves. Their produce is in line or cheaper than Whole foods and Publix, and I like how they have their butternut squash already cubed, they have lots of raw veggies pre cut and mixed. Last week I got an asian stir fry all diced and ready to throw in the pan. They have the best flatbread pizzas in their frozen section and awesome turkey burgers.
Oh and don’t forget a bottle of wine to go with all the food you bought. They have bottles starting at $ 2.99 !!!

THE best grocery store around. Entirely affordable, health-​conscious, nicely-​packaged foods from all over. Their staff is probably the friendliest, most helpful and passionate that I’ve ever experienced. Seriously incredible.

Over the last two months we have completely fallen in love with Trader Joe’s. We have come to realize it was a place we would shop once every few months for novelty items. Basically, we hadn’t (despite my original posting) really tapped into the true worth of Joe’s. Go there and scout out the store completely. REALLY, go through the aisles and slowly take it in, go through the frozen case item by item. I am betting that barring items like Coke Zero or Maxwell House instant ice coffee… Joe’s has an alternative for 90% of your fridge & pantry. We have as a result of recent weekly visits, switched our shopping from 100% Publix, to 80% Joe’s, and we are pocketing anywhere from $ 20 to $ 50 a week as a result. Also, the discovery of so many items exclusive to Joe’s has made meals quick easy and different.
It is officially LOVE, however, I could do without a few of the hippy-​type shoppers that we see on occasion…

Love this place! The cheapest wine $ 6 is very very good. The produce is fresh and way cheaper than publix. The 2 publix that I have to choose from around me are terrible. The customer service suffers. I’ve asked multiple times and written a request for a dha milk. Not a huge request. They have ignored it for over a year now. No worries! Trader joes fits the bill and I save approx $ 100 every time I shop there vs publix. Good riddance to rude publix employees. Thank you trader joes!

I want to love this place because they have so much stuff that I love here. But, I just can’t. It is always so crowded, which is OK, but the people who visit this store tend to be nasty and refuse to move even when they are blocking an entire shelf.
The staff members were nice and friendly.

For years I’ve heard everybody talking this place up. I waited excitedly for a few months till opening day and then made it a point to go. I don’t think it lived up to the hype. It’s sorta like a hipster whole foods. There’s all these specialty foods that appeal to different tastes and nutrition requirements. I’ve had some of the frozen food like fried shrimp and that was good but the pita bread and hummus was just pedestrian.
The reason I’m giving Trader Joe’s four stars is for the wine. The bottles are slightly smaller than regular wine bottles but are absurdly cheap. My bottle of red wine yielded me multiple small glasses and it took me many days to finish it off. The hooch is quite potent and got me a cool buzz each time. If you are a hard-​working, young professional woman who deals with a lot of stress on a daily basis, then this place could be your shangri-​la.
The floorspace area is actually small on par with like a CVS. They have everything laid out in a way that is able to accommodate a ton of customers and visually have little shpadoinkle signs to get your attention and give you information on highlighted products. If you have never been it’s worth going just for the experience. Besides the wine, the other major thing I liked was checking out with your cart. Different than normal grocery stores.

So this Wellington location is the smallest Trader Joe’s than any other location I’ve been to so far. If you have never been there before, location can be a little confusing — and as horrible & sometimes annoying as the human traffic already is, I think I’d like to keep it that way
I walk in 20 minutes before closing and get the stare-​down from almost every stocking employee who knows its almost closing time and they WILL be going home shortly, come hell or high water… And then there’s me with my empty basket just thinking about what I need, «Oh shit, I forgot my list. whatever.»
I just started cruising down the aisles at a fairly decent pace, throwing whatever in my basket. I think I got a couple of the things that were on my list, so that was super bonus. I’m trying this thing where I refrain from being mean, like I could’ve… Taken my sweet, sweet time trying to remember every single thing on a list I had no recollection of or counted out & paid with all my small change that somehow always builds up at the bottom of my purse, or I could’ve insisted on counting grapes. You get the damn point.
To the little punk at the register:
Regardless if it’s 8am or 9pm, there’s this thing called customer service. The part in your hair didn’t fool me for a nice person, because you sure weren’t.
This particular TJ’s might have a few bad apples… But we’re in Wellington, it’s to be expected from teenagers in this demographic — but I love the place for what it is & what it brings to my table, I’ll deal with a few ingrates to get my foods!
By the way, I checked out 3 minutes after 9pm and walked out of the store, took my basket back to the entrance — the thing people should but don’t realize is, You don’t have to be a jerk. I, unlike most, will react to action. And people don’t like tasting their own medicine, I guess. Yet again… I’m trying the nice thing

For this being my first time at Trader Joe’s, I wasn’t overly impressed by all the hype that surrounded it. First walking in, it seemed like a small specialty grocery market. Extremely crowded on a Sunday afternoon, so packed some aisles were literally impossible to walk through. I expected the store to be much larger, but the location itself was actually quite small. They had a few samples as we walked through the store like a spicy mac n’ cheese as well as goat cheese and mango on a raspberry cracker. I’m always a big fan of samples, but if you are going to do them, you need to do them on products to draw me in and make me want to buy them, something that did not happen. In the end, we walked out of Trader Joe’s without buying a single thing.
Prices weren’t bad, but nothing was such a bargain I thought it was a steal. The products they had were unique, but as someone who eats out most of the time and does not make my own food, I didn’t see anything here for me to buy. Everything seemed very organic and I don’t think I spotted a single item from a chain/​company i recognized.

I am addicted to Trader Joe’s. Easily my new favorite place to shop for food.
I love the fact that it’s a small, easy-​to-​shop store. I love the fact that everything looks delicious… and then you bring it home and it is indeed delicious. I love the fact that they carry mostly smaller-​brand products that often feel like they were picked out especially for me.
Yes, it’s busy, but it’s honesly never been a problem for me and I’ve never had to wait long to pay. They always seem to have enough friendly cashiers working. And yes, you may not find every single item on your list here, but you will likely instead come home with a new snack, cheese, cereal, juice, etc that you will not be able to live without from that point forward. And hey, what is life without discovery?
Believe the hype, this place is great.

I Need Help:(
This location is so cute, seem to be very organized, and i love the fact its so close to whole foods, in one trip you can get the best of both places.
No doubt Joe’s has the upper hand, with much better prices and my all time lover the cookie butter. The only thing i would try to improve is the Flowers section, looks a bit messy, un like Whole Foods that has amazing Flower section, and always good Florists on site.
Cant wait for them to open the Boca location.

Smaller store but has a good amount of stuff.
Trader Joes is a good place for certain items (for example, i like to buy my seasonings, chicken breast, and coffee there) but not so great for other things (like produce).
After all of the hype, i was a bit disappointed. I didn’t feel the prices were significantly better than the other stores I shop at. Thus, when I am in the area, I will certainly go back, but I won’t be making a 30 minute drive just to shop there.

While living in California, this was one of my husband and I’s favorite places to shop. When I heard they were coming to Wellington I practically exploded in my pants!
Their produce is extremely cheap, much cheaper than Publix. I wish they had more organic options for their produce but it is still a wonderful thing.
They have an amazing cheese selection, comparable to Whole Foods and at much better prices.
Obviously their beer and wine selection is awesome and superbly priced.
My heart lies with their frozen food. It is all so exotic and delicious and nothing you can find at another grocery store. I highly recommend their char sui bao! Also anything else Asian or Indian.
I think it is a great place to buy food for a party or just a fun night of munchies.

I will give five star’s to any establishment that gives me a viable alternative to the monopolizing, anti-​Hispanic, GMO selling, tea bag CEO, horrible cooked foods, low wage paying, price gauging Wholepaycheck (Wholefoods).
Here are some reasons why Trader Joe’s is Messianic.
1) Trader Joes pays all of their employee’s a living wage.
2) All Trader Joe labelled products are non-​GMO sourced.
3) Trader Joe’s has many unique delicious toe curling products.
4) Trader Joes products are typically 20%-30% cheaper than comparable Wholepaycheck products.
5) All of their employee’s are happy and super friendly!
— This is why I now shop at Trader Joes Wellington location instead of their Pinecrest location (even though the Pinecrest location is 20 miles closer) :
Unlike the scarcity of available parking at the Pinecrest location, the Wellington location has an adequate amount of accessible parking. The shopping experience at the Wellington location is quite pleasant and civilized, it’s nothing like the weekly WWE wrestling matches held at the Pinecrest location.
Until Trader Joes opens their Boca Raton and Delray Beach locations this fall, I’m going to be locked into doing the 45 mile drive to the Wellington location.
I really don’t mind doing the drive and to tell you the truth, I’ll take sanity over convenience any day of the week.
NOTE:
Trader Joes opened their first South Florida location in Pinecrest last year. Since that store has opened, I’ve noticed all of the Wholepaycheck locations in the tri-​county area have lowered their price’s on products that are comparable to Trader Joe products.

After waiting many long years, it has finally arrived, and I could not be happier… at least until they build the one in Boca. :) However, as the saying goes, it is close enough for government work.
For those that are not familiar with the concept, here is a helpful guide for the initiate:
However, for the initiate; 90% of what TJ’s carries are its’ own brands. If you are looking for name brands, you are likely going to be disappointed. However, I say branch out a little. Just because a brand is familiar, does not necessarily mean that it is better. In fact, IMHO, the chances are that what you pick up here will be as good, if not better, than the well known brand.
Size. Does it really matter? Although this a bit of a cheeky question, I have seem a number of comparisons of the size of this location versus another. However, in my experience, this location is not really noticeably bigger or smaller than locations that I have been to in NY (city and LI), MD, DC, PA, or in Naples.. So when folks say this location is so much smaller etc., I cannot agree. Also, know that TJ’s does rotate their stock, and so certain items that you are looking for and maybe missing are not attributable to the size, but what they are buying at the moment. Just ask and they will tell you if they are out if stock or getting it in.
Overall, I am just glad that TJ’s is finally close by enough that I don’t have to plan an entire day to get to and fro. If it was worth the trip to Naples or South Miami, it is certainly worth the trip to Wellington.

I stopped by the day after the grand opening, an hour before they closed. It was still a mad house. People were just grabbing everything off the shelves and the employees couldn’t stock fast enough.
I noticed that the prices are slightly more expensive than it is in NYC? How is that possible? Also, the store is not that big. But I’m glad they opened one fairly close. I can’t wait until they open the Delray and boca locations.

I literally just shopped here a few hours ago and I’m writing this review as I’m snacking on my creamy peanut butter cups.
I needed some quality, reasonably priced, one of a kind groceries and decided to make the 45min trek north to this location. PACKED. Packed with herds of people smushed into the isles like the world was coming to an end.
I could barely get down certain isles and had to effectively strategize ways of maneuvering my cart without rolling over anyone’s toes. Rolled over my own a few times, but that was ok.
I stocked up on fresh veggies like kale and spinach, tortilla chips, fresh mint leaves (delicious when brewed in coffee or served with iced water, strawberry cereal, vegetarian Indian frozen foods, fresh flowers for $ 5.99 and a bunch of other fantastic items.
There were samples of this refreshing blood orange soda, fresh blueberries, cold OJ and veggie lasagna.
The employees seemed very nice and were cordial, which always helps with an overwhelming shopping experience.
–Parking is plentiful– tons of spaces. More spaces than at any other TJ’s that I’ve shopped at.
–I think it’s best to come between 3−5pm or after the work rush for a less crowded experience.
Of course this location just opened so maybe the hype will eventually fizzle over time and we will all be free to skip down the isles without someone’s cart poking us in our butt (yup, that happened too).
Now back to those creamy peanut butter cups.
