Bed Bath & Beyond

Four stars for service. Zero stars for pricing.
Please tell me how three boxes of crock pot dinners from Bed&Bath costs MORE than twice the amount of boxes do on Amazon AND the retail value on the official Crock Pot website.
Let’s do the math:
$ 20.97 for three boxes at BB&B comes to approximately $ 6.99/box.
$ 16.32 for six boxes on Amazon comes to approximately $ 2.72/box.
For anyone wondering, that means BB&B is marking up prices to 257% of the retail value. The value actually listed on the retail website. Not any discount amount.
Now let’s say you factor in a $ 5 off coupon? Still paying about 200% of the retail cost. $ 15.97 for three boxes that should cost $ 8.16.
No wonder Bed, Bath and Beyond is still in business. And I fell into this trap of paying them 2.57x the price I should have paid a few days ago. I should have checked Amazon but they sold me into it saying I couldn’t get the product otherwise. While the employees were helpful and friendly, I wondered if they knew they were ripping me off or not. I guess I’ll never know since I won’t be back.

The service at this Bed, Bath & Beyond location blew me away. I was allowed to come in and walk around ten minutes before they actually opened and then I was made a top priority when I interrupted their sales meeting to check out. Nancy went out of her way to bring me a cart while I was walking around and let me check out early saying that, «You are more important.»
Dina then took the time to print out a wedding registry for me, use my expired coupon and wrap up my gift so that I was 100% prepared for the bridal shower that I was on my way to.
I am not a frequent shopper at Bed, Bath & Beyond, but after the service that I received today, I will be.

I enjoy this Bed Bath and Beyond. The service is friendly and attentive. Everything is normally easy to find or else there would be help. It’s nice there are separate customer service and cashier lines.
