Dickies BBQ

Angry workers, small portions, extremely high prices, dry chicken, bologna-​tasting turkey, beans straight from the can, and gristley ribs… Best to stay away unless you want to order a salad. They do have nice plastic cups.

I had their three meat combination with waffle fries and Mac and cheese. The sides were great, as was the pulled pork. The brisket was sliced a tad thick, and was a little on the dry side. The chicken breast, on the other hand, was very moist, but hadn’t picked up much smoke flavor. Iused their sweet sauce, and Lay had the hot. Both were good, and I liked that they were served warm.
The place was spic and span, including the restroom. Staff was friendly. The only issue is price to value. For my $ 13.95, I thought the portions were small. I wasn’t short changed though, as I noticed the portions were all carefully weighed. In fact, the chicken breast was two small slices short of the whole small breast, just to make the weight work.
Again though, food, service, and facility were OK.

I went to Dickie’s today for lunch as I often do on Monday’s because I love their lunch special. Each Day of the week has a different special. Every time I go, today was no exception, I get exemplary service and outstanding food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very customer friendly, very clean, and has a country feeling (as a barbecue place should).
The big barbecue sandwich has little to no fat, the bun soft, and the flavor is great. If you are a fan of waffle fries these are second to none. I also ordered the macaroni and cheese and it’s very good as well. Sometimes I will go to Dickies just for their sweet tea, it’s that good.
I really don’t know how this place can improve. The service is always fast, the employees are always courteous, the place is spotless, and the food is always great! I didn’t even mention the free ice cream!
