If you are a fan of good smoked delicious BBQ this is not the place to go! I came here recently and I got a chopped brisket sandwich. Not only was my food lukewarm when I received it, it was tough and lacked adequate seasoning. The taste and texture of the meat reminded me of tissue paper. I also noticed that the BBQ sauce is kept in a container by the trashcan and it is cold. Do yourself a favor and avoid this sad excuse for a BBQ restaurant. I would recommend this place to no one. Don’t eat here… save your money and get a better meal elsewhere.

Placed an online order for roughly 18 people. We were feeding the out of town guests from my daughters wedding. When I arrived to pick it up, the staff was very inattentive. As they were packing up the food the order looked small. I asked twice if they were sure they had everything. I should have checked myself. They gave me 5 plates with the order, I asked for more and they said that is all they had. So had to stop by Publix on the way home for plates and utensils. Once at the party I start unpacking the food and as I suspected almost a third of the order was missing. Its a 30 – 40 minute round trip back up to Wesley Chapel from Tampa Palms, so back to Publix to buy more food. My wife and I didn’t eat for fear of running out. How embarrassing. I called on Saturday and asked for a call back. Its Tuesday and I am still waiting. I guess they don’t really care. Plenty of other great places to eat in N. Tampa, **UPDATE** 06÷12÷2016− I have still not received any contact from the local store or corporate office. All I am asking for is a refund for the food we did not receive. This company does not care about its customers. I will not be back.

Dickies recently sent me a response. They would like me to contact their customer service group to discuss how to improve I guess. This is good. BUT Dickies did not give a number or web site or any info on how to contact. I went to the corporate website NOCUSTOMERCONTACT #. Just like the restaurant… A weak effort. Dear Dickies I am willing to help with feed back. But when was the last time you visited other BBQ joints to compare? If you cared you would be striving to outdo them.

Not really a fan. The bbque isn’t even as good as sonnys and it is priced higher for smaller portions. I have went twice and pretty much am done here. It is a clean place but the food isn’t worth the value. I will cook out myself or go to Sonnys.

Partner enjoyed the pulled pork. I had the rib plate. I am a Southerner who loves barbecue. I found the ribs way too salty. The sauces had nothing that distinguished them. The coleslaw was about KFC standard and the yeast roll was like you would find at O’Charlie’s. Prices are reasonable. Free ice cream with every meal but the soft serve was liquid/not frozen. Better than perhaps Sonny’s if you get the pulled pork. Avoid the ribs.

Solid 3, standard– just OK I’ll be back for the price and ribs. Price– good fed 7,(5 adults) kids eat free on Sunday, plus a groupon=~35 $ can’t beat that! Knocked off a star per my child– Unilocaled to be– ‘they only gave me 5 fries, I give it a zero!’(Harsh critic) but really his ribs were mostly bone and the meat they had was crusty and chewy. But my ribs were good, meaty and fall off the bone. Sides– I’m happy to report they have 1 healthy side, salad. I also tried the baked mashed potatoes which were tasty. Family had enormous huge loaded baked potato stuffed with brisket. Just be sure to add meat since it only comes with a 2oz portion, which isn’t even enough for my macros!!! Pulled pork portion was a 4oz, looked huge. Employees were attentive(saw some bad reviews about this). Free ice cream, self serve, didn’t try, save the calories.

I love BBQ. I didn’t really know this about myself until last year for V-day my hubby took me to North End BBQ in Indy. It was wonderful and I quickly became addicted. It’s not a chain so it’s a lot different than«every day» BBQ which is what Dickeys is. We ordered online tonight for the first time. We just moved here and I have been to the salon next door and it smells divine. We decided to get the rib meal and my hubby got the largest sandwich meal. Unfortunately there was no BBQ sauce included when we picked up. We didn’t know we were supposed to add it to the bag. No one told us. The portions are on the smaller side so definitely keep that in mind if you are HUNGRY. My ribs were VERY good… fall off the one delish. And my hubby liked his brisket. The sandwich is on the smaller side despite it being called the BIG Barbeque. Additionally the pickles, sauce, and cheese were NOT on the sandwich. We didn’t add anything to it but it was JUST meat and bread. We actually had to add our on BBQ when we got home for it to be edible. I might call after I’m done writing this review. Overall, sad to give my first 2 star review since we moved. We were hoping to love this and have it be a ‘go to’ since it’s less than 2 miles from our new home. Has potential to be better… but no BBQ sauce on ribs or sandwich seems odd and no one to say — don’t forget your sauce! Mac and cheese is fine. Cole slaw was fine. Nothing blowing my mind. Sorry Dickeys. :(I hate not loving something.

Florida has some great Q around, but when you’re looking for Texas barbeque and you’re nowhere near the Lone Star State, Dickey’s is a great surrogate. They do it quick, and as close as you can get to Texas style in a franchise chain place. Awesome brisket, great ribs, good sides(jalapeño baked beans!). And if you’re eating in, unlimited free soft-serve ice cream. Just keep grabbing cones until your kids eventually pass out so you can enjoy your meat. Though it’s nowhere near where I live, I have made a few trips here(hey, it’s closer than driving to Dallas). Totally worth it if you’re in the mood for non-sweet-sauce Florida style barbeque.

Flavors are great Options are pretty plentiful Once I was given too much fat with the brisket and was disappointed On 3 different times they have run out of potatoes for their Bakers but inside scoop is you ask them to make your Baker with the twice baked potato side instead. They are typically really busy at dinner time.

This place catered a Christmas party at my work, and I’m so glad they did. I’ve been looking for a good barbecue place and I’m not sure where to direct my guests who ask. Now I know! Their ribs were tender and delicious, and they give you the option of 3 unique sauces. There is one for everyone. Also, I could have eaten their Mac n cheese all day. Their rolls were hot and soft and I need to go back with my friends sometime soon. They are worth it!

So good. Was staying at a hotel a few miles away for a weekend convention and ate 4 meals in a row here over the weekend. Really cheap for how big the portions are.

I gotta join the average and give 3 stars. Staff was great, dining area clean, and a nice concept. My first thought was this is Shane’s rib shack all over again and I gotta say I’m not far off the mark. The food is cooked in some kind of modern stainless steel cooker, I smell no smoke, I see no wood and the meat reflects that. No smoke ring, no smoke smell, no smoke taste. Good sides but nothing to die for, a southern sweet tea that was very good and free soft serve ice cream. I did a little head math an the specials seem to be the best deals in the house. Other than that this is expensive BBQ and the portions seem small. The perception is not a lot of value. The was one highlight and it came in the form of a spicy cheese smoked sausage. They offer 3 sauces an original, a sweet, and a spicy sauce. I will say our food was served quickly so if you need a quick in and out lunch BBQ than this might serve your needs but if you like authentically cooked and tasting, a real BBQ experience than Dickeys may be a bit too much corporate/franchised flavor for you.

Stuffing my face with their sausage was deeply satisfying and the creamy cheese filling made it that much better. Who knew you could have so much meat and it be so smoking hot! The sauce really spices things up. Be sure to get that selfie dickey pic cause you’ll want to remember this experience. Oh and there are two entrances so you can go in the back door. Be sure to grab extra napkins to get the white stuff off your face cause you’re going to want a free ice cream cone!

Not the best BBQ I’ve ever had, but it is pretty good. I really liked my pulled pork sandwich with sides of potato casserole and Mac n cheese. However, the prices were much more expensive than I expected for a fast food restaurant and the portions were very small(lunch for my husband and myself was about $ 27, which in my opinion was too expensive considering the portion sizes). We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed, so we took our food to go. The food was prepared quickly. If I’m really in the mood for barbecue, I may return(as there are few barbecue options that I’ve seen in the area), but next time I will probably stick with whatever the daily special is.

Well I keep trying this place and they keep getting worse. A friend really wanted BBQ but I was insisting there was nothing in new Tampa that was any good. He saw dickeys and offered to buy… Even for free I should have known better… the food was dry and the portions seemed even smaller than I had remembered. my friend was also disappointed and he was stuck with the check… The free ice cream also seemed to disappoint him… Owner was there… if I was paying I would have asked for a refund on the overpriced food… My friend doest lime confrontation. There are two much better options in this strip center and one much worse one .I’ll let you figure that out! Never coming back… new Tampa needs better BBQ options…

I know Dickey’s is a franchise so I will keep this short as there is only so much to say. What I like about them is they are fast and affordable. most of the meat is way to dry, thats something they need to fix, but the ribs and sides are great. I have tried ALL the meats! Here is a quick break down of what I think: Pork Ribs: BEST, really fantastic fall of the bone, not greasy at all Beef Brisket: ok but very dry, not a lot of flavor, I wish it was better. BBQ Honey Ham: its ok also dry, I’m not much of a ham guy, too sweet for me. Spicy Cheddar Sausage: to spicy on its own, this would be good on a sandwich, it needs bread Polish Sausage: average, not very smoky, would pass on this one. Turkey Breast: good, smoky on the outside, still a bit dry Chicken breast: good, but VERYVERY dry, smoky, almost like chicken jerky. I like their warm BBQ sauce, I the Original is best but the Sweet and Spicy are also good. They have 12 sides, I like them all. Its 100% up to you what you like but trust me they are all done well. I do wish they offered some sort of collard greens. As far as improvements go, they do free ice-cream but it’s gross. Skip that stuff! The atmosphere could be better. The Signage is obnoxious and gives a very generic feel to the place. I wish it was a little more warm and inviting. Instead it has a very fake cartoon feel to it kind of like McDonalds.

I’m gonna go with meh! First impression walking in last night was a guy working here who I could barely hear muttering I had to wait for him to cut some meat. Okay, so like I’m suppose to stare at you, and wait. I had already taken time to look at the menu a bit. At least the other three girls I encountered were more helpful and friendly. I ordered the Friday special which was pulled pork, two sides, drink, and ice cream for like $ 8.49 or something like that. My sides were baked potato casserole and fried okra. Baked potato casserole is just a fancy way of saying mashed potatoes, and fried okra didn’t taste like anything, and totally wasn’t worth the fried calories. The pulled pork portion was the size half of your palm, so serious about that, and a small roll. That equals meh! The best part of this location is that it’s next to Latin Café, and Hungry Greek, another deli type place, and an Italian restaurant. Go in a group, and pretend it’s a food court. People can get food from different areas if they all have a taste for something different. I will no longer deviate from my norm, which is one of those other food options I mentioned. Last night I wanted something different, and it was a fail. Oh well.

Well if you find yourself in the New Tampa /Meadow point area and get a craving for some BBQ you must try this place out. Even though it’s not a mom & pop BBQ joint it still gets 4 stars from me. The brisket was so tasty and juicy with loads of smoke and flavor. There three sauces all served nice and warm add that lil extra flavor to there already awesome meat. As for the sides well they were just as tasty as the BBQ. So if you find yourself nearby and hungry make sure you give them a try…
