Fun while it lasted. Now closed. Hoping they find a new tenant to reopen the restaurant.

The owner has stated the restaurant will be closing soon. She is looking for a buyer.

The menu is not large but their food is consistently great… hours are a little strange, or at least we’re not in synch with their hours. Live music available on weekends. But go for the food; support local ownership.

All our food was cold. Service was the worst I ever had. Most disorganized restaurant I have been to in a long time. So overpriced for cold food and terrible service. Waitress was super sassy and unhelpful. She seemed very stressed out and agitated at every question we asked, didn’t know what was on tap, the soda machine wasn’t working. The sandwiches were all supposed to come with chips and she basically told us all to share a bag. This is the worst customer service I have ever had at a restaurant. We all decided that we would never come back again. Most of my friends work in restaurants so we understand how it can be a stressful job but our server was just so far gone. My sandwich was not worth $ 11HA what a joke. I have nothing positive to say about this crap house.

This was my 2nd visit to The Local Table — the first time i was with a female neighbor friend and we were seated promptly, but the server did not take our order for a long time – she proceeded to take the orders of couples and families and kept saying, ‘i’ll be right there”… However, the food was delicious and seemed to make up for the neglectful service. Yesterday, was my 2nd visit and i was with my gentleman friend, son and his fiancée and his fiancée’s mother — VERY disappointed in the service; which seemed like a comedy of errors… not bringing drinks or the correct order to our table, giving us the wrong bill — all this while the wait for the food was very long and no explanation was given– it was not busy. Everyone said their food was quite good. Although, my soup was hot and delicious, the quiche i ordered was almost cold; room temperature at best– but we were getting pressed for time and i didn’t want to delay our getting our check anymore, so i did not send the quiche back to be re-heated. i will give them another try– but based on 2 visits where service was below par, i will allow myself a lot of time and not have any commitments within and hour of ordering. One other thing; i think when a restaurant is NOT busy, you should be offered booth seating, as opposed to just being placed in chairs and tables in the middle of a restaurant…

I’ve tried to eat here a few times over the past year and have yet to succeed. This place is either never open or there’s a wait for a table even when many tables are open. It doesn’t seem like a very welcoming place.

This is the second time coming here and once again I am disappointed. The food in not worth the price. $ 11 for a tuna melt with a. 5 oz bag of chips. The first time was the Reuben sandwich which was cold. I won’t be back

The waitress was friendly and funny, the atmosphere comfortable and casual, the food fantastic. I had the lamb shank with pappardelle pasta. The lamb melted in my mouth, the gravy was fantastic, with big chunks of shiitake mushrooms. My husband had the steak frittes, which was a little unconventional, with roasted fingerling potatoes rather than French fries underneath. But it worked — tasted great! He said it’s too bad, because after stealing some fries from our daughter’s burger, he can attest that they’re really good! We’ll be back!

I’m flabbergasted that there was only 7 people here for breakfast at 10:30 on a Saturday morning… this place should be packed to the rafters. It’s out of my local zone, so, I ordered a few things, to get the taste. «Green» eggs Benedict(spinach V. meat) w/homefries, smoky hash, 1 piece of French toast. YUMMO! Nice bright, fresh flavors. The homefries were large chunk red bliss potato. The hash was obviously made in-house and was very tasty. The French toast is thick, brioche style. The flavor & quality of the food, put this place near the top of my breakfast places. 2 minor glitches(I hope the 2nd was a simple oversight V. padding to make up for small crowd) — they forgot to add Hollandaise sauce… I even checked to see if maybe they normally didn’t use sauce on their«Green» Benedict… they brought it quickly. — I noticed a $ 3.00 charge for my homefries(suppose to be included)…my server called it a glitch. Hope everyone else finds it, IF, it pops up on your bill. If you like breakfast… YOUHAVETOEATHERE!!!

3.5 stars really. The food was great. I had a breakfast burrito that was perfectly seasoned and kind of spicy with fresh fruit on the side. My husband had the nutella pancakes which looked ridiculous and my father-in-law raved about the ricotta pancakes. A few gripes though: –We came in and it was relatively empty. «Find a seat anywhere» the waitress said, which required us to push two tables together to even find a seat for 4. –The service kind of sucked. Granted, there was one waitress running the whole thing, but we waited a long time. –I asked what the special crêpe of the day was and they said they no longer were offering that because it was«too much work». The crêpe is in two places on their menu. An updated menu would be nice. –The atmosphere is pretty dingy. Either way, I would be back because the food was good.

This place seems to get better each time I visit. It’s clean and classy. It’s incredibly kid friendly despite it’s sophisticated décor. Eating here is so nice. It’s got a very peaceful vibe happening. We never feel rushed to order or eat, and the staff here have all been very sweet, happy, and pleasant. The food is fantastic! They keep it simple with very fresh, very quality, very flavorful ingredients. I always get different omelets and my son loves their pancakes and waffles. It’s a perfect fit in W. Acton IMO.

Quiet for Sunday brunch(but not so quiet that something seemed wrong). Very friendly service, and delicious food with locally-sourced ingredients. I had the savory crêpe(today, chicken, spinach, red peppers, and artichoke hearts), and it was perfect(and a little more so when I added just a little Sriracha). My wife got eggs over easy and they were actually done that way, and the kids were happy with silver dollar pancakes(with real maple syrup — always a positive indicator). Some of the other review mention the coffee either being too strong or too weak. Perhaps this is a Goldilocks thing, but I found it to be just right — not weak or watery but by no means overdone, and with no bitterness or excess acidity.

My boyfriend and I checked out The Local Table a few days ago for lunch. They were a suggested«like» on Facebook so I checked out their website and more importantly their menu. A warm sandwich with country ham, brie and granny smith apple on 7 Grain bread? Or would it be grilled brie with cherry preserves on sourdough? Maybe the warm turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry sauce on french bread?(I have to stop. I am making myself hungry!) We both enjoyed our sandwiches thoroughly: I went with country ham; he went with turkey. The beer we washed the sandwiches down with was expensive at $ 7 each so I would recommend sticking with water, soda or coffee. The place is cute on the inside. It was pretty quiet when we were there on a Monday afternoon, but I imagine it fills up for brunch and during weekend lunches. Service was fine. The waitress was chatty and efficient. We will be back!

Went for brunch with the hubby. Place is clean and tables aren’t crowded together. Food was good — very good brioche French toast with real maple syrup, great Monte Cristo, OK fruit cup — melon and pineapple. The coffee was so strong that even 5 creamers and 6 sugars didn’t mask it(granted, I like DD coffee with cream and sugar, so maybe it’s just me…). Service was slow and somewhat haphazard — started to give us someone else’s order, gave my husband potatoes when he ordered fruit, forgot my fruit until I asked for it, and never offered drink refills. I might go back if I was in the area, but I won’t make a special trip.

We found her! Chrissy is back at on the scene at Local Table except there isn’t really a bar, but there are bar stools, a platform that looks like a bar, some bottles in the background but no hard stuff. Obviously a licensing restriction, but I don’t blame the owner — I blame the town if they restricted this license. Foolish. Then what do I know? With a very limited wine list, Chrissy gets imaginative with the limited fixings, and with that — she’s a server too. Draft beers are cold and tall and the sauvignon blanc I enjoyed was just right with my stir-fried shrimp dish that also came with my choice of either sweet potato soup or the stuffed pepper soup i really liked… delicious. Build a burger was a winner with the kid, and her boyfriend loved the mac & cheese with big rigatonis in this creation. The bride nailed her pesto tortellini, but there was too much and it made the ride home. Music was soft and nice in the background and on this Thursday night it became a very busy staff that was overwhelmed with the crowd. The chef delivered meals and even took orders. Chrissy worked her station, the tables and bar tables and ran around like a one armed paper hanger(no slight to the handicapped please.) I believe that even the owner was called in as a reserve. Loads of perfectly cooked shrimp on my dish, maybe a little more rice and a little less sauce; burger was perfect although the kid designed one I would not; the mac & cheese needs a little more sharpness but it is good and would love to try it with the lobster(that might be why it’s flavored the way it is); Liz’s chicken tortellini was a delight and I can’t get over the soup tasting just like a stuffed pepper. Recommendation: keep the application in for a proper liquor license or go strong on wine and beer; you need one more server or a hostess(host) combo on busy nights; and a requirement that all customers are acknowledged as they walk in the door! Cardinal rule. We will be back as the food is simple, flavorful and local. We like local. As for Chrissy, her martini talents are limited by this bar, but it doesn’t diminish her love for the food industry and her customers. Formerly of the Cast Iron in Maynard, Chrissy is renowned for her skills behind the bar and a dynamic personality that endears her to her customers. Truly the best, but only on Thursday thru Saturday.

What a disappointing experience. I never received my meal. The three other diners did, and had the chance to finish theirs before I pulled the plug. I also never got the second bottle of wine that I ordered. Please learn what good service is. Thanks.

Finally a local place with homemade, delicious food! Atmosphere could use a little work but I’ll take a slightly low energy place with great food over a bustling one with the usual mediocre fare(as is all too common around these parts). Weekend brunch menu had lots of delicious choices including brioche French toast and an awesome ham, Brie and apple sandwich. And I give major points for any place that automatically gives real maple syrup not the corn syrup stuff. As previously reviewer said it was a bit smoky but can’t say whether that’s a regular thing or not. Looking forward to trying this place again for dinner.

Savoury Lane is now The Local Table, and there is FINALLY a place to eat dinner(and drink beer!!) in West Acton! We checked it out last week, and were very pleased. The menu is very simple, focusing on some appetizers, pizzas and burgers. There are a few other items too — soups on special, etc. They have some good local beers on tap — HUGE bonus — and a nice selection of wines(did not sample). Wachusett Green Monsta was my choice for the evening. Edamame gyoza were surprisingly great. I had the New England Burger(baco, cheddar, homemade bbq sauce, on brioche) and Kim went with a Tuscan sandwich(prosciutto, pesto, tomato, mozz on ciabata). Both came with fries. The burger was actually very good — something I rarely say about a restaurant burger. Cooked perfectly to my liking as well. Tuscan was a tasty sandwich — all ingredients were fresh. Fries were a big soggy. Dessert was a nice surprise — real cannolis from the North End. very good ricotta filling and fresh, crunchy shells. Service was a bit slow, but our orders came out in a timely fashion once we got them in. This isn’t a knock-your-socks-off kind of place, but it could be with a bit more traction. they have a slick looking bar, and a good sized dining room. Things feel a little bland in there, and this sleepy town doesn’t «get out much» so it doesn’t seem too busy. I am hoping they can draw some of the NYAJ crowd in — but closing at 8pm makes it tough to compete. Looking forward to going back — maybe they can earn that 5th star.
