Haven’t been there in awhile but had a veal hero it was fantastic. I really wanted their pepperoni pizza but I don’t like reheated pizza and didn’t want a full pie so looking forward to it. Everyone has their opinion but the pizza at Francos is up there with the best around.

The pizza is as average as average can get. Not much taste. Much better pizza in the area

Franco’s has been here for a long time. It had been a few years since I’d been here, but I’ve stopped twice within the last couple of months. I’ve only had the pizza, but it was fine. If I like one thing about this place it’s the atmosphere. It was fun sitting at the counter enjoying lunch years ago and it still is. There’s better pizza places in the area, but Franco’s is an adequate choice. Thanks for the response. I’ll be back checking out other items on the menu. The personal response is a good indication that you care what your customers think. I believe I first visited Franco’s in the late 90’s.

Never though I would be saying this about what used to be my favorite pizza(of anywhere, NY, NJ, anywhere), but they have gone downhill. Since Sal left, they changed the sauce drastically, it now includes tomato peels and just tastes different. Even the cheese tastes different. I think they are using cheaper ingredients. What a shame, it used to be so good, but now we get pizza from Nutley, it is just not the same at Francos. I jope they change the sauce back to how it used to be.

Its good ol fashioned pizza the same way cooked every time. When you order toppings you get plenty! If your looking for Fancy Pizza look elsewhere if you want a good Grandmas Pie or or a large round pizza this is the place. Sandwiches are just ok. For the $ you get your moneys worth. They deliver to Roseland, and except for yesterday are always within the window of 45 mins.

I went there on a Tuesday ½ price any pizza. LoL. The only pizza they would sell for ½ price was there plain pie(cheese) only. What a scam. They have it on the windows and on the menus as half price ANYPIZZA. The pizza was okay but I’m on a limited buget and can not have pizza a lot so when I read about the deal I was happy. They lost my bissness because of FALSE advertising

Some things are good, others are not, and some lacks consistency. Also, beware of ordering take out or delivery. Almost EVERY time, they mess at least one request up. And delivery is never less than an hour or 45 mins. Not sure why it takes that long. Last time I ordered(2 days ago) the delivery took and hour and a half! It was ridiculous because we didn’t even order much. I got a few of the hot antipastos which comes with broccoli, shrimp, clams, eggplant rollatini, and a few of the tiniest stuffed mushrooms I’ve ever had! No joke, they were the size of my thumb print! Also, the shrimp and clams came out EXTREMELY over cooked. Very hard to chew – very much like rubber. Also, stay AWAY from their fried calamari. They overcook this too! Too bad, because their portions are decent. I almost choked on it. Really lousy. The bruschetta pizza and their pizza in general on the other hand, I have to say, is very good. Bruschetta a little too generous on the garlic, but well done! Oh, and their eggplant parm is an A+! Also, every salad I’ve gotten here has been extremely fresh and the container is always stuffed. They do give out various coupons which keeps my business with them, regardless of the negative experiences I’ve had.

Was a special day, we went with the family, greeting was nice, the first waitress was nice, shift change and then things were not so good. The one waitress took the order the other served it without checking the order. There was and age difference between the first and second, the second being younger. we were 7 people, two orders did not make it out, the missed them of forgot them, and the place was empty, only one or two other tables. My daughter had to sit and watch everyone eat while we ate. The waitress said the dish would be a minute when we told her we were missing two. she knew it was not started and took 15 minutes. the rest of the night the waitress was more concerned with her texting than waiting on us. we had to get her attention more than once for drinks and other assistance. I told her when she did bring the dish out, that it was not acceptable being so late and to let the owner know. no one came over to apologize, and it even seemed as they laughed it off. this is what you can expect from young people and owners who think they are above you. needless to say, I will not be going back and I have live across the street so to speak, all my life and time they have been in business. I still left her 20% tip, but not happily. I should have stiffed her to teach her a lesson, but me not patronizing them is more than enough.

I love the pizza here. The crust is perfect, the sauce is amazing. The soup is also amazing. My favorite is the chicken noodle soup. It’s tomato based with small, thin noodles. The wait staff makes you feel like you’ve been going for years whether it’s been the first time or the fiftieth. Their pasta dishes are equally as good. My husband loves the veal parm. It’s good favorite anywhere we go. It’s just a great place with great people and amazing food.

Had a broccoli rabe and sausage slice. Asked for it well done and it came out a mushy mess. You need to listen to your customers.

Ugh. Since moving to the area I have been looking for a good pizza joint. The first time ordering I had just presumed the pizza got knocked around in the delivery car and that’s why it looked like a slop mess. I also ordered the garlic bread and oh my goodness, I felt as if I had just bit into an actual garlic clove, it was terrible. Second time around there was a puddle of grease just flooding the whole middle of the pizza, I don’t even know how I stomached two slices. I ordered another thing of garlic bread and made a note for them to just take it easy on the garlic… they didn’t. If it wasn’t for the grease mess and the overuse of garlic, this might be a semi decent place.

Whenever we go to see my sister-in-law we order from Franco’s. Their subs are delicious. Buffalo wings were nice and crunchy. Sausage parm is my favorite. Salads are also a hit here. They even make good burgers. Tonight we had the disco fries which are a new favorite. Located at the stop and shop shopping center on Bloomfield Ave. casual seating inside. In an area loaded with Italian, Franco’s is damn good.

Franco’s is the epitome of pizza, what a pie should be like, how the sauce should taste and how long it should be cooked. Great dough and they’ve been doing it for over 20 years. I haven’t had anything but their pizza. And I don’t care — their pizza alone is worth FIVESTARS.

Very«meh» and left much to be desired. I ordered 2 cheese slices and they resembled what you would normally get when you reheat cold leftover pizza in the oven at home, slightly hard crust and overcooked. Their fresh pies may be better, but stay away from slices unless it was just baked fresh.

My cousins love this place(even coming back to back days sometimes), but I think it’s just alright. I ordered a slice of the veggie pizza and was puzzled by the meat looking pieces on it, but it turned out to be battered and fried eggplant(nice touch). It was a decent slice of pizza. My cousin ordered two cheese pizza slices and the soup. He said both were very good. He also likes his pizza heated up a little longer in the oven, to give the crust and crispier finish. I must admit, I would order it like that if I got a cheese slice(otherwise, I think the toppings would burn) as it tasted pretty good extra crispy. Staff was very nice. Prices seemed reasonable, and I’d return if one of my cousins decided to stop here again. Worth checking out on your own, though.

My parents love this place for some reason. Hence, my father chose to come here for his birthday dinner this year. On a Monday night at 7PM, we were the only patrons in the restaurant area. It wasn’t until at least 8:30PM when families filed in with kids in sports uniforms. They have a wide variety of pizzas, pastas, and anti-pasta dishes but we just stuck to the pastas. My sister and I both got the lobster ravioli($ 16? $ 18?) and my parents both got this ridiculously large pasta dish with seafood piled on top. I guess families really do have similar tastes in food. Overall, nothing spectacular. The most entertaining part of the night was the harmlessly curious server. Perhaps he was bored or rarely talks to Asian people, but amidst my father’s birthday dinner, he couldn’t stop himself from interjecting with questions like, «Wow, you girls are over 21? How old are you? Where are you „from from?“ Are you speaking Chinese? Isn’t that the hardest language to learn? Wow, you guys don’t speak with any accent at all.» … Oh, the wonders of suburbia and its people. PS: BYOB
