I found myself in West Chester the other night, and I don’t know that area too well. Unilocal steered me to this lil place, and I’m glad it did. Great beer selection, great food(really extensive menu with cheap quick meals and pricier fare), and a great overall vibe. I really enjoyed the Piri Piri Chicken sandwich. Simple and tasty. Also, compliments to whoever controls the radio. Thumbs up.

I think the food here is decent but nothing special. There are lots of better options for restaurants in town. On weekend nights, they have a fun bar scene. Upstairs turns into a dance floor with a dj.

THISIS A MUSTTRY! If you LOVE Craft Beer and I mean quality crafts then you have to stop in and check-out Side Bar & Restaurant. Let me just start by saying this local favorite has 3 bars to choose from 1st&2nd floor dining options and a spacious patio that over looks the surrounding heart of downtown West-Chester. A HUGE Craft Beer selection on tap, bottle and by the can. Beers from all over the country. From local brews and also the well-known must haves. With this many options of brews my suggestion to you is start out with a Flight and then graduate next to pint or a big bottle. It was well-worth it. Every time I go I discover a new special food item to pair with a select craft beer. Plus the wait staff, bartenders and even the managers will be quick to suggest the perfect combo to fully spark your taste buds. I mean thats what its all about. Finding the right combination to reach the best potential taste for every bite or sip. The staff is friendly and that made me feel right at home. That is why whenever I visit the East-Coast I make sure to stop in and see whats on the menu! Amazing Craft Beer Selection Full Bar New Daily and Evening Food Specials Warm and Fun Environment Family Friendly Date Friendly To Go Beer/Food

Do not eat breakfast here it’s overpriced. Our table and other tables around us awkwardly had half the tables food brought out but the rest of the food didn’t come out for 10 – 12 more minutes. Our server never asked how the food was or if we needed anything so we didn’t have butter for our toast or ketchup

Came here to visit a friend and got the inferno burger! It was freaking delicious and a must. Not a great place for big groups but great service and not to mention their huge selection of beers!!! I will definitely be coming back to try their beers and happy hour when I’m in the area.

Great experience in the blizzard at The Side Bar Restaurant. Most local places were closed but Side Bar was open. Both bars and tables were full. Awesome experience with Side Bars’ new server, David. Even though place was totally packed and crazy, he gave us the greatest service for appetizers and cocktails.

Don’t come here for large party’s or busy nights. Came last night for New Years Eve and left because we got nervous upstairs. The floor was literally moving or bending under our feet. The occupancy was 67 for the room, as is posted near the door, but there had to be more. One kid started jumping up and down because he thought it was funny, but it was terrifying. Really freaking scary… Management should be ashamed, that’s how people die.

Haven’t eaten here, but stopped in a for a drink one afternoon. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The bar itself is very cool and sports a great beer selection.

Ordered a burger, soda and water. The soda was extremely flat and gross. I complained to the waitress, and she STILL charged me for it and didn’t take it off my table. I got a refill of my water, and it tasted like old, dirty tap lines. So gross. The burger was OK — bun was good, but the burger was wayyyy overdone. Fries were terrible. And after all of that it was 20 bucks for a crappy burger, bad fries, and disgusting drinks. Won’t be coming back.

I’ve been to Side Bar myriad times, and every single time there is always mouthwatering dishes on the specials menu. The regular menu is great, and you can tell cooking is a passion in this kitchen. The craft beer selection is always packed with something for everyone. Many drink choices, and the staff is up on their knowledge of what’s yummy.

First time having Side Bar Brunch and it was great! There brunch specials are awesome and everything is reasonably priced, including the drinks! They had this one drink called the Rik Mosa which is the combination of a mimosa and GM aka Grand Marnier! Great combo! I had the veggie omelet special with goat cheese… So good! Tons of fresh veggies, like onions, yellow and green peppers, broccoli, spinach and zucchini! Everything comes with choice of toast, home fries and fresh fruit. I would def come back here again for brunch, I still need to try their lunch and dinner menu.

Let me start off my saying that the food and atmosphere are always great. A buddy and I sat outside and had a few beers along with a roast pork sandwich and the swordfish wrap(more like a burrito). However our waitress(Nicole) really put a damper on the experience. She rarely came to the table to see how things were and most of the times she couldn’t be found for awhile. We finished eating and waited about 25 minutes for her to even approach the table. We had our payments ready we a he dropped the check and without question, she walked away without even acknowledging the credit card. Good food, good atmosphere, just hope to have a different server than Nicole…

Food was just okay. Got the shrimp and chicken entrée and it was pretty bland. Not worth the price. Service was good enough and drinks were good. Wouldn’t come here for dinner again, but seems like a fun place for drinks.

Breakfast was ok. Eggs were a little over cooked(I asked for over easy and got over medium) and potatoes were way too salty.

I’m from Dc. I have tried the other bars in west Chester and the Djs are terrible!!!. They play backstreet boys, come on we are in 2015! And this is a college town. When I came to this bar, the Dj was an old man and he was really good… He played good music no backstreet boys or spice girls like Barnabys and kildares

The place for craft beer in West Chester! They have a most impressive beer list that any beer would be proud to have. Many options on local, east coast as well as national craft brews. The bartenders are very knowledgable and can assist you if you feel in the mood to try something new. The place also has an upstairs along with music on the weekend. Finally, it is owned by former bartenders that no how to treat their customers.

I actually really love coming to Side Bar for dinner. It’s a cute little place with spacious room for a big party or seclusion for an intimate dinner for two. The fireplace upstairs is lovely, but wasn’t working the last time I visited. The food is excellent. Still some of the best wings in the area! I have to say it’s a tad pricey, but definitely high quality as well. I had the most delicious shredded meat sandwich. I think it was warm sliced steak with bleu cheese and onions. I can’t remember specifically what it was called, but it was outstanding. The menu provided on Unilocal is much larger than the menu provided on site. I felt as though there wasn’t much to choose from, but I didn’t mind too much. Sometimes a larger menu is too overwhelming, anyway. I do remember their burgers also being delicious. Their drinks are far too pricey for my liking, though; especially because there are so many other places to grab a cheap drink in the area. The server was really nice, as well, and gave us tons of free goodies for my friend’s birthday. Another pleasant experience! I’m sure I will be back again.

Good beer selection. They have a very legit selection of beers but it is a little on the expense side. They do get some very hard to get beers which is awesome . The bar staff is attentive but the bar does get really packed and its hard for the staff to keep up once it gets to busy. I recommend going sunday to Thursday

Great selection of beers, competitively priced. Friendly and accommodating servers. Get the hummus to share with a group… the plate is HUGE and full of accompaniments like feta, roasted red peppers, pita, and cucumbers. I loved the sourdough on my BLT, but the house smoked bacon left a little to be desired. Just a personal preference, but I like my bacon crispier. It was very thick(yum!) but pretty limp and there was a bit too much fat on it. Don’t leave without trying the sweet potato tater tots!

Being our first time in West Chester, My husband and came to Side Bar for a late lunch. The beer selection was fantastic, we got lost in the selection but the waitress was knowledgeable and helped us out by giving us a few taste. The hummus platter was surely a delightful surprise, with a good heap of fresh hummus and enough pita to go around. It also came with fresh feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes and roasted peppers all which was properly seasoned and freshly cut. We also shared the portabella sandwich which was equally as good, it was topped with spinach and smoked mozzarella. We would def come back here for lunch again.
