State Street Pub is a bar. it’s alright. They have pool tables, darts, trivia and a jukebox. The beer deals are usually pretty decent. But do NOT get a mixed drink. They are never good. Also, the bartenders are kind of rude sometimes. They go crazy if you don’t have your membership card. I think my boyfriend and I have had to buy like ten cards by now because we keep losing them and we’re magically never in the system. But for a good place to just play pool and hang out, it’s pretty good… if you hate cigarette smoke, don’t go here though.

Great little dive bar. Cool jukebox, pool tables, and lots of friendly folks. I always enjoy SSP. They have some really great specials, like 2 buck Miller Lite. I also love the Buzztime Trivia. I believe they allow smoking, which is one of my musts when it comes to bars.

SSP is the best little bar around. There is a very diverse crowd that comes here. It has its fair share of regulars and passers through. Nestled in an old brothel that’s over 100 years old this place is in pretty good shape. Mine you that the land lord should really fix the ceilings in ALL the surrounding businesses not just SSP. The bartenders are the nicest and the prices are very decent. Although at first look it may come off as a «dive bar», it certainly has a «Cheers of west Columbia» feel

One of the few decent options in West Cola. I just spent a couple of weeks in Columbia on business, staying on the west side of the river. There’s precious little to do at night over there. State Street falls firmly into the«dive bar» category, and is one of the good ones. More relaxed and unpretentious than stuff over in the Vista, and also a lot cheaper. The crowd is really friendly, even to a funny-accented Minnesotan, and they let you eat tasty sammiches from upstairs. Skylar and Earl went out of their way to give me advice about what to do in Columbia.
