Dive bar for sure. Been here a few times with some friends when other bars r packed. Bartenders r pretty fast and attentive. Needs to do some interior work. Drink prices r pretty good too

Greatest dive bar in America! The pearl between two oyster bars. Free darts, free shuffle board, unpretentious bartenders and clientele.

I give it five for a dive five! If your looking for a genuine bar with a bartender that genuinely takes pride in his job then this is your place. I mean genuine! This place made my favorite in Columbia because i love dives

My wife and I found this little divey joint while in Columbia over Thanksgiving weekend. We went to a few other places nearby, but didn’t stick around. When we came here we felt pretty comfortable immediately and stayed a while talking with other patrons and the bartenders. The bartenders were very friendly and they have some really good drink specials, including $ 3 draft beers all day Saturday. No frills, just a simple bar with good people. We really enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

If I could go back and do Uncle Louie’s again I wouldn’t. I’d walk right past it as if it was that embarrassing one night stand I never texted or called back. Yeah they have dartboards, pool tables and shuffleboard but the beer was FLAT(which is not the end of the world) and coupled with the rude bartender, it got me in a sour mood real quick. There is nothing really that I could say I remotely liked about this place. They have a couple tv’s but they are rather small.

My friend and I came in town for a football game. We stopped in Uncle Louie’s for a drink during the day. We were the only patrons in the place. We sat and chatted with Michael(an owner) for about an hour. Great guy, nice little dive.

Great dive in the Vista. Cheap beers, pool tables, shuffle board, & darts. What is not to like. Well it would be better if they weren’t Mets fans, but no one is perfect. Unique to its location in the vista. I prefer dive bars and Irish/English pubs as watering holes and this one of the best dive bars in the Soda City. Great to pregame/post-game when having dinner in the Vista. Would get 5 stars, but as a Braves fan, the whole Mets thing is just a killer!

I’m not sure who Louie is and who he’s the uncle of but if you are looking for a good time with cheap drinks, good music, and good company t. What started out as a sketch bar(from what a friend of mine called it) its become a watering hole for Columbia locals from all walks. I can still remember walking in there every other weekend with hardly anybody in there except for the regular bar flies. Since then the crowd has increased in numbers and for good reason, has slowly become one of the best dive bars in Columbia. You and date can get a good buzz on for around $ 25 depending on what you drink($ 1.25 Natty Lights is their claim to fame). But if poor mans beer(and the subsequential god awful hangover that follows) isn’t what you want then go for one of their on tap beers What gives this place a 5 star rating is the bar service. These guys are fast and friendly. I once stopped into Louies ordered a beer and opened up a tab on my card. Something came up and I had to leave after just one beer. I told the bartender that I was sorry about tabbing out after just one round and he said don’t worry about and that the first round was on him. Won’t find that kind of service at Sharkeys I promise you that much.

This place is solid. Anywhere that has $ 2.50 Fat Tire pints is fine with me… I paid $ 4 the night before in Charlotte. If macroswill is more your taste, they have $ 1.25 bottles of Natty Light all the time.

I don’t know if Uncle Louie’s is even open anymore, but for a time(we’ll say the first six months of 2001 — or my last six months in Columbia), this was the default haunt of a bunch of friends & I. I miss $ 1.25 longnecks of PBR, cheap & delicious chicken finger baskets, & hours of darts & billiards. Plus it has the distinction of being the place where I bought my first legal drink upon turning 21(of course, at that time it was known as «The Last Stop»).
