I really don’t want to give 1 star to any business unless there’s a reason.(1) I think the store door should be closed because it’s humid & hot. I don’t know air conditioning was on or not either(2) I’m not sure an owner/employee knows or not. But I saw there’re black & green mold on some breads. It’s potentially hazardous condition. So, this bakery might be famous(?) at Cebu in Philippine. However, I was wondering how the shop in West Covina can keep business in that condition. I’m sorry but I won’t visit this bakery anymore. I was honestly very disappointed.

I used to come here very often to buy snacks. I love this place. My mother loves the hopia here. The owner is very friendly. Their food is fresh.

Its where my mom goes to get me my Filipino treats like Ube Pianono and you can get the end pieces for super cheap! they make fresh Suman too! In regular rice and ube flavored. Used to go here often with my folks when I was younger. Now that I live closer I intend to go here :)

LOVELOVELOVE their hopia. Many places make hopia but it’s La Fortuna’s hopia shell that keeps me coming back for me. It’s buttery, flakey, and light. All other places have a very floury based shell that doesn’t flake and tends to be very dense and heavy. Not here. Also, they make an ube hopia that’s amazing. I also like their other desserts.
