This Ice Cream parlor has been DEFUNCT for a decade plus, so this review is more of a tribute. I recall going here as a kid, their setup is much akin to Baskin Robbin’s, wherein they had 20 or so barrels of flavors on display to choose from. Flavor choices included traditional flavors like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and so forth, but also included exotic flavors such as Ube(Taro) and Mango due to the Filipino ownership. I believe they also served other standard Filipino dessert fare such as Halo-Halo(Shaved ice with assorted fruit) and even had to-go pints much like Ben & Jerry’s. The ice cream itself was very thick, creamy, and a tad bit sweeter than say Thrifty’s ice cream. In hindsight, I realize that Filipino ice cream tends to be injected with more artificial sweeteners and oil than most stuff you could pick up at your local grocery today. Overall, it was still a great place: good service, ample seating, decent ice cream, and awesome logo to boot.
