Quite the opposite of the article posted on the wall by the entrance… Quantity — A, meanwhile quality — D. This place is just a typical Chinese buffet with a touch of poor sushi rolls and hibachi. I’ve got to admit it that they have a pretty good selections, but only 90% of them meet the expectation. Soups are VERY bland. Hot and sour soup tasted like poor chicken broth with absolutely zero hotness and sourness. Wonton soup tasted like 10 gallon of plain water with a tiny dash of chicken bouillon. Oysters and clams were ok, slightly warm. Sushi rolls were, excuse me, disgusting. Service was pretty good. That was my first trip and for sure, will be the last one.

Extremely easy on and off access from/to I-84 Eest. Many vegetarian options. Friendly staff. Well-labelled & well-stocked sushi bar. Very busy, therefore the food is fresh. Low price.

I WOULDGIVETHISPLACE0STARSIF I COULD!!! you want to know why!!! all i wanted was a special anniversary with my parents and our family and cousins. Peace was all we truly wanted. But the manager didn’t allow our family to sit together because of no reason whatsoever. They separated us on opposite sides of the restaurant and i thought that was completely absurd. We were definitely mad because since it was my parents 15th anniversary, we just wanted something special so we decided we wanted to come to a place we thought could be good based on the reviews but then it was truly all lies! No it is not a good place to go if you are going with anyone. They will most likely split up you entire group because your pain probably gives them limitless amounts of joy. No exaggeration over hear my fellow Unilocalers. If you want, i suggest going to mc donalds where you are allowed to sit with people you want.

AVOIDIFYOUCAN. I don’t understand why this place got 3 stars. The manager and waitress were so rude to the customers. We came in for dinner and asked for different receipts but sit next to each other, at first the manager was ok. Then we saw few hairs in the food and and pointed it to the manager. She started to yell in her language and interrupt us while eating. She then yelled in english that she is the one rules everyone here, and she doesn’t allow us to pay separately, either we need to leave now or pay together. We were so mad about her attitude and got up to leave. She yelled in the back that she doesn’t care if we come again(of course we won’t) because she has other customers. RUDE!!! I recommend that if you risk to come to this place, make sure the food is clean before you eat and deal with the manager before you walked inside.

My daughter and I went this afternoon for lunch after church. They have a professional sign saying every Sunday price is $ 10.99. For Fathers day they had hand written posters saying for Fathers day, price is $ 13.29. not including soda. My bill came to $ 33.35 for the two of us. I am a single mom out of work and am outraged they use holidays to raise prices. Other restaurants give discounts to get you in the door. I believe this is total misrepresentation and illegal for them to do this. I am also going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. As my daughter and I were walking out we heard many customers complaining about the scam. I will never take my daughter to this buffet ever again. They smile at you as they are ripping you off and I personally take offense to that. So if your looking to pay more then usual, by all means this is the place for you.

One word: OUTSTANDING. The food was actually mouth watering-ly delicious. The variety was excellent. Talk about seafood, soups, salads or desserts, everything was there. There was not a single dish which was cold and the dishes were continuously getting refilled by warm food. I am from MI. And I’ve been to buffets upto $ 30 per person in MI. But trust me, none of them, I repeat, none of them can be compared to what I just had in the 1⁄3 of a cost. Lastly, I would suggest them to add more fried Fish to the menu. You guys are awesome.

Great for parties! Byob policy, and they stick to it! Also the food here is great if youre on a busy night. Turnover is very prompt, have quite a variety. Best is the salad bar, very fresh lots of variety. Sushi is packed with rice, not that great. Havent tried hibachi but heard its acceptable. Personally, the big slab of meat they call roast beef or roast pork or the meat stewed with potatoes is to die for. Its nothing like the chinese food taste you go for, it almost reminds of hometown buffet in the good old days. Very homey. You can just slurp it as you wish for french bread. Also they have the thick wontons for wonton soup! This is quite rare to find these days, everyone has turned to the cheap translucent booger-like wontons. Also the big trays of baked whole fish they sometimes have(depending on the batch) can be quite tasty. Staff is great, met a few who were just wonderful. Students seniors military and something else get 10% off. Also they give coupons in the papers or the CTNOW or something similar.

I hate giving bad reviews, but I was really underwhelmed by this place. I grew up eating at Chinese buffets, so I know my buffets, and while the selection here was vast and diverse, the quality was lackluster. Nearly everything I ate tasted like a subpar version of itself. The General Tso’s was soggy and overly sweet, the vegetables were limp, the soups were bland. The sushi was just alright. I did like the mei fun noodles, the black pepper chicken, and the plate of hibachi noodles I got, but those were the ONLY things I liked out of all the dishes I tried(and I like to take a little of everything). The lunch buffet is indeed very cheap, so if all you want is to fill up on cheap Chinese food, then this is your place. However, it’s probably one of the worse buffets I’ve eaten at.

Good buffet with wide selection of Chinese, American and sushi. The clams, steamed fish and fried flounder were my favorite items. The salad bar and fruit bar looked very fresh. For a $ 7 lunch, it is a great value. The space was clean and looked pretty new. Bathrooms were clean. Servers were pretty nice.

It gives student 10% discount so the dinner was like 10 dollars, which is very cheap. The hibachi was my favorite, but the sushi was not that fresh, so I will give a 4 star.

Great variety, kept pretty hot and fresh compared to most buffets. Sushi is ok, but hibachi is a little better, cause you get fresh hot food. Cant beat the price and if your in the Chinese mood but don’t know what to eat, this place will more than likely satisfy your pallet.

A whole lot of food Hibachi Grill & Supreme Boofay is indeed a great place for people that really like to eat. Nothing subtle about a boofay, this is a place for serious eating. There is a whole lot of food here and all kinds of selections of many different types of things. Some familiar and expected and other things a bit different. The quality of the food is consistent and not bad considering it is a boofay. The veggies are crisp and appear fresh and nothing really hangs around for very long so new things are always coming out. The staff aren’t exactly friendly but they are efficient and very business like. Just go about things as it they’re on auto pilot and get things done. Yep, Hibachi is a boofay, a really big boofay with a whole lot of stuff. The food is decent and the décor is actually kind of nice in a weird sort of way. Even has a great hand dryer in the bathroom. Definitely a place for people that like to eat vast quantities of food.

This place is very decent. The buffet is actually a much higher quality than you would expect when lunch only costs 7 bucks. Even beyond basic chinese food, they deliver: excellent breaded zucchini, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, buttered brussel sprouts, slow cooked pork, fried plantains, and fresh salad. The food is good, the Restaurant is clean and I have always had good experiences with the staff.

Great Value. There is a huge selection, the cost is roughly 12.00, and it is a buffet. As a result you can’t have everything in the world and of course the food quality suffers, but surprisingly not as bad as one would expect. There were a few good options out there, and then there were some lesser options. As far as the Chinese goes, the Sesame Chicken/General Tao’s was slightly below average, the Lo Mein was flat out bad, the Dumplings were very good, the egg rolls lacked flavor and the crab ran goons were average. As far the American portions go, the chicken wings were good, the shrimp were surprisingly good and flavorful while the pizza looked flat out bad.(I didn’t try it though.) The Hibachi and the Sushi looked average, but I did not try them. The desert station was average, there was a fair selection of ice cream which was very good and there was a fair selection of other cookies, pies and dishes. Definitely a strong value, the place was packed, so try to catch it on an off hour. For the amount of people there, the noise level was surprisingly good.

There’s two things American eaters love: a wide selection, and perceived value. This place has both, and will likely ride them to huge financial success. Of course, the food is mostly crap, but since when has that stopped anybody? To be fair, it’s a buffet joint: expecting anything past ‘edible’ is probably naïveté. There are stations full of greasy, mall-variety ‘Chinese’ food, some fried American junk, and lots of seedy-looking desert options, including a big vat of pudding that will haunt your soul. The sushi is what you’d find late at night at a Shell gas station. I haven’t tried the hibachi grill; the line was too long and I was in no real mood to linger here. Still, low quality or not, you can get everything from pot roast to fruit salad here, if you have the patience to try everything. Sheer statistics suggest there’s something you’ll like here in the dozens of options. I settled on an uneasy relationship with the fried rice and Chinese chicken section. Even by buffet standards, service is basically robotic. The various workers buzzing about perform most of their tasks wordlessly, which is a bit creepy. The place is basically an assembly line used to stuff humans with greasy garbage, and it feels like one. The staff clearly wants you to get your fill, pay, and get out so they can have a new customer strap on the feedbag. Unsurprisingly, the business model attracts a… funky clientele that will quickly remind you of those ‘It Came From Wal-Mart!’ sites. You can expect the place to be packed with folks in their finest sweatpants, eager to gorge themselves on whatever they can, up to and including the other diners if the food trays aren’t filled quickly enough. If you’re strictly looking at calories-per-dollar, you can’t beat this place. It’s about $ 8 – 12 depending on the time of day, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Really, this buffet has two things going for it. 1) Price $ 11 for dinner? I have paid this for a beer in DC. 2) Choices — There are literally hundreds of choices The good: Roasted pork was very good, but not Chinese in the least. The bad: Seafood wasn’t very good, had an off taste. Everything else was pretty mediocre. But cheap.

Was hoping for a buffet experience but… Location — the restaurant is located right off exit 44 of I-84 in a strip mall. Parking can be somewhat of an issue despite the parking lot being huge. The reason for this is that this place attracts a lot of people so it can take a couple drive arounds to find a spot. Also be careful with people crossing in front of your car. People are so anxious and hungry to come here and eat that they only have one thing on their mind — food, endless food so they will cross in front of your car without looking while you’re looking for a spot to park. Aesthetics — As you enter, you will find a large waiting area. This area serves one purpose — to wait! If the place is packed and it usually is, you sit in this waiting area with a number that was given to you by staff and wait for your number to be called. When you’re eventually seated, you’ll be seated at a table that’s located in a section that’s usually serviced by one or two waitstaff. These tables are closely packed to accommodate as many people as possible probably for maximum profit. The food stations are closely packed to each other as well so there’s a lot waiting for the particular food items you want because there’s people ahead of you especially at the ice-cream station. Menu — There’s lots of food stations with a variety of food to choose from. There’s American Chinese; fish; carving stations for ham, pot roast, and steak; Southern food, and some Spanish/Caribbean foods as well. Desserts are very limited. Service — Staff at the waiting area are okay, not overly friendly. The waitstaff servicing the area that your table is at are pleasant but don’t speak English well and don’t understand it either. To note, when you’re finished eating, the waitstaff will bring you your check and will continually pass by your table to ask if you’re ready to pay. This system is to ensure that things moves smoothly, i.e. you pay, you leave, and the table is then occupied immediately ensuring that no table is left vacant too long. To note, there is option to take out. You come in and are provided with a carry-out container, you choose your items, and take it to be weighed. Food — Some of the food items are tasty but other food items have a much less desirable taste but it’s a buffet so you don’t have to finish everything that’s on the plate. Rating — 2⁄5! Eating here is like you’re on a production line!

You’ve pissed off the wrong person. I walked in at precisely 4PM. I had a $ 1.00 off promotional coupon for the lunch buffet from an ad that had both lunch and dinner coupons. It was an hour before I started work, and I was wearing a uniform, so it was plainly apparent that I was a fellow member of the food service industry. Dude: «No, we serving dinner now.» Me: «At 4PM?» Dude: «Yes, dinner start at 3:30.» Me: «Well, come on, could you at least do me a favor and give me a dollar off the dinner price? I didn’t know that dinner started at 3:30.» [this fact is also not posted on the ad that I took the coupon from] Dude: «No, you need the coupon that say dinner.» Me: «So you’re gonna make me go home to get the other coupon???» Dude: «You need dinner coupon.» You gotta be ****ing ****ing me. You entice me to come to your restaurant with a coupon, and then, citing your patently ridiculous policies [who the hell eats dinner at 3:30PM, Matlock?], deliberately snooker me out of using it? And over a single freakin’ dollar!!! And to do this to a food service worker who was willing to compromise no less? Disgusting behavior. Enjoy your short-lived business tenure in West Hartford.
