This place is great.
In a nutshell — they could not be more helpful, you can drive your vehicle into the building to load lumber and other bulky supplies, and they have a dedicated person for recommending and mixing paint.
They have a full service lumber yard, a very large hardware department, and a large section of the building dedicated to contractor supplies. They also have a fantastic selection of hand and power tools.
Here are two recent examples of their great service:
1. I had some rotting clapboard that needed to be replaced. I went to their web site and read up on the various replacement options for siding and then went down to the store. I walked into the lumber area and one of the guys was more than happy to help me select what I needed. (Keep in mind that I only needed one bundle of ten pieces.)
2. On Wednesday this week I went into the store to get some paint. The paint specialist (Levi) matched the exterior trim paint using a sample that I brought in and when I got home to try it on the window trim I was thrilled to find that it matched exactly!
We moved to the area a few months ago and this store has become my first choice for most everything I need for the house.
Note that this is a local operation. The company is based in Manchester Center, Vermont. They have two stores in Vermont and two store in Massachusetts.

Why haven’t you already visited, and why aren’t there 10 reviews already.
This place is the niche hardware/​lumber experience you wish you had, each time you went to Home Depot or Lowe’s for something slightly better or slightly less standard than these big-​box distribution fronts can get you. .
I’ll write more next time I go. But really, go check it out.
