Provenzano’s

Great for breakfast sandwiches, great lunch sandwiches and excellent salads for a fair price from nice people! My go to place when working in the area. Also conveniently located at a few minute walking distance from West Haven Train Station. Always had 5-​star service from these guys.

My boyfriend and I just went to Provenzano’s to get sandwiches for lunch. We both ordered the chicken cutlet special which was, chicken cutlet with American cheese, buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. But what we got was. chicken cutlet, no cheese, no buffalo sauce and no ranch. But they were both loaded up with mayo. not what we wanted. We love this place and can usually look past the minor mistakes, but we were really disappointed in the outcome of our sandwiches today. We don’t have time to go back, we were on our way to work, so no time to wait. Please try and stay on top of the ball, we want to come back there!

Always great to see the family of the Provenzanos together at the deli. I’ve had now a handful of sandwiches they offer. Hot, cold, lunch, breakfast, and they all have been nothing but satisfying. A deli that instills to spend a little under $ 10 for a fresh sub will beat any fast food anyone can buy.

I work right around the corner and this a favorite of mine for lunch. Not only are they super friendly but their food is amazing. I highly suggest going!

Maybe I caught them on a bad day. However, I was not at all impressed by Provenzano’s.
I ordered the Nana wrap. Salad, onions, hot peppers, Italian dressing, and provolone. How can you mess that up, right? Well, they did.
The «salad» was nothing more than extremely wilted lettuce DRENCHED in Italian dressing. By drenched, I mean my wrap was dripping oil out the bottom like a slice of pepperoni pizza would. Yuck.
Also, I requested American cheese instead of provolone. My request went ignored. Almost seemed like my wrap’s contents had been pre-​mixed and sitting in Tupperware for a while.
After eating half my wrap, I had to discard the other half. I am not normally one to waste food. Ever. But it was absolute garbage.
My boyfriend had ordered a grilled chicken wrap. He said it was decent. However, a few bites in, he wanted to add a bit of balsamic vinegar to his wrap. Upon his request, the cook came out front, handed him a pre-​mixed container of balsamic vinegar and oil, and told him quite sternly that he should have ordered the balsamic chicken wrap instead.
We didn’t need your input pal. We just wanted a side of balsamic vinegar. Which we never received, since it was mixed with oil.
One last tidbit: Our drink selection was narrowed because 60% of the drinks were not cold.
On a 85 degree summer day, we wanted fresh cold drinks and sandwiches. We left Provenzano’s very disappointed.

What a great addition to West Haven. Friendly staff and great food. The interior is spotless and the service is efficient. Can’t wait to bring my family in.

My wife and I were on a trip from NY to Boston and got off the exit looking for another place that we couldn’t find when we decided to give this place a shot. Nice little place but the food and the staff were exceptional. We ordered a «Sweet» Italian sub (instead of the «Hot») and were impressed. Not easy to impress us. The bread was a fresh Italian bread with sesame seeds with just the right crustiness for a sandwich. It was absolutely loaded with great Italian cold cuts piled on, and not just one slice of ham and one of salami like other places do. All fresh toppings too;lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, olives, and on and on. We split it between the two of us and couldn’t finish it. Definitely worth the trip!

I eat here often and have recommended it to anyone and everyone looking for a place in West Haven.

This place is okay, the food is nothing special. Overall I had a great experience here and the staff was very friendly.
