Just when I thought Martins couldn’t get any BETTER, I went to Sunday breakfast/brunch for my mom’s birthday. Although the brunch is not conventional, every dish served to our party of 3 was FANTASTIC! The service exceeded expectations as did the food and cleanliness. They even went above and beyond to serve fresh cream and strawberries with a candle while singing happy birthday to my mother. We didn’t request any special treatment and yet, it was given. This is my one and only favorite in the poconos, nevermind Hazleton. Do yourself a favor… treat yourself to the greatness of the food and staff of Martins! 10 stars!!! The prices are more than reasonable, as well!

Back again, just last week and, once again, Martin’s was wonderful. The food was very good, full of taste and divine. The service was prompt, subtle, and unobtrusive — which is *perfect*. It’s wonderful to be greeted like an old friend, despite not having been there for at least six months. The ambiance is simply wonderful — quiet, beautiful, and elegant without trying too hard. It is the kind of place where you feel comfortable dressed up for a nice night out, but also dressed down for a casual dinner with family.

What an excellent dinner! Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. My dinner was awesome as was everybody’s in our party of 7. Highly recommend!

Great service and good food. Parking is not great, but that’s the clue isn’t it. Desert is a must have, the Strawberry Kimberly. This was another great decision.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Hazleton. Bring a good bottle of wine with you! The wild mushroom and Brie strudel is one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had.

On the last night of our honeymoon we arrived in Hazelton and remembered how much my parents love Martin’s, so we decided to try it. The owner and waitstaff were welcoming and friendly. The arugula with beet salad was delicious and the salmon with lemon was perfectly done. The ambience was nice with art on display throughout the restaurant. We highly recommend dining at Martin’s!

I love that you can bring your own wine. Such a cute little gem in the city. The servers were very pleasant and welcoming. The food was definitely upscale and worth it. I would go back again if I had the chance.

My son and I stopped here driving through PA while on college tours. We had a delicious meal, expertly prepared with excellent service. We told our server that we were traveling and eager to be on our way and they made sure our meal was served efficiently yet graciously. They even sent my son out with a complimentary slice of their peanut butter cheese cake to enjoy on the road! The chicken breast with lemon butter sauce was served with steamed sugar snap peas and garlic mashed red potatoes. The chicken was tender and juicy with a very light flour coating that melted in your mouth. So nice to find a place like this to break up the monotony of the interstate! I will definately return if I ever get the chance.

Martin’s is the best restaurant in Hazelton. Hands down. I was in the Hazelton area for a week on business and on the first night(after scrolling through Unilocal) I decided to try out Martin’s for dinner. Great decision! Excellent food, everything is so fresh and delicious. Very friendly service, as well. This place is BYOB, which is another perk in my mind. I went back there every night I was in town… you seriously will not find better food/service/atmosphere in Hazelton. Every time I’m back in the area for work I definitely make time for at least one visit to Martin’s.

The best and most consistent restaurant in hazleton pa. You can tell the food is made by someone who loves what they are doing, the ingredients are fresh as well.

Possibly the best restaurant in all of NEPA. We would definitely eat here regularly if we lived a bit closer, nonetheless, it’s worth the ride every few weeks. Martin is a terrific chef. The apps and entrees never disappoint. The Seafood Strudel is absolutely extraordinary. Did I mention it’s a BYOB. This means you can bring a great wine and still get an affordable dinner with appetizers and desert. We wish he would relocate to the Wyoming Valley.

We went here for brunch on Sunday, while on a road trip to Hershey. We took the recommendations of others on here and it was delicious! Would highly recommend for brunch. I had quiche special and my boyfriend had the eggs Benedict, both were fabulous and coffee is also great.

Not so bad, the service and the owner is good, you don’t have too much choice with the food but the quality is good. You can choose between fish and meat, and there are also quite good soups of the day! The ambient it’s quite domestic, try it !

This was a wonderful, intimate little restaurant in which to enjoy a carefully and elegantly prepared dinner. Weary travelers, the simple but varied dinner menu was perfect for us. The food came quickly and the presentation was lovely. Everything tasted delicious. The service was outstanding! Hope we come by this way again.

Martin’s, located along the main drag between Hazelton and West Hazelton. When you mention this to some you see some people’s faces beings cringe, or possibly teeth may begin to gnash, but get over it– it’s only Hazelton and, to the best of my knowledge, the city does not bite. The meal was great, a little spendy, but worth it. I had the crab cakes, which happens to be one of my restaurant staples, and it was made to my perfectly. Although I want to try it again, next time I go I will have to get something different. I also heard that Martin’s has a Sunday breakfast/brunch– I will have to give that a whirl sometime soon. Unfortunately the Hazelton area is lacking in fine dining, so if that is what you’re looking for Martin’s is your place to go.

I was in town for the week and I came here for dinner. I must say I enjoyed the setting of the place was very relaxing and a bit romantic with the music playing in back ground. The food was delicious I had a side salad, some of their clam chowder, and salmon, everything was cooked fresh. Also kudos to the waitress she was very nice and friendly and pretty attentive. The prices were a tad high but not the worse. If I am ever in town again I would definitely come back…

Was very surprised by this gem. We were looking for a movie theater, but I missed the part about it being ‘West Hazleton’(who would have thought the street numbers would be the same both places) and couldn’t find it. Decided to have dinner instead(really wanted to see that movie, too). Someone told me about this place so we decided to give it a try — which is when we discovered ‘West’ Hazleton. Got there around 6 and were lucky to be seated. Restaurant totally filled by 7. I would recommend a reservation! Everything we had was good, including a dessert of mango brulee. Great service, great food — and a byob! BTW — movie theater turned out to be about a block away. So-so food at the theater — would recommend combining food at Martin with the theater.

Love Martins. The owners are great. The food and décor brings me back to NYC. The last time I was there it was byob, not sure if it has changed since. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, which changes seasonally — DELISH. If you are looking for good food in the Hazleton area — this is THE place to go.
