Fireside Lounge

Best steak & cheese around. Small dining area a little out dates décor. Limited menu but everything tastes great! Nice atmosphere friendly service. No fries! Very good place to eat. I give it a B+

Food is excellent and reasonable, and the place is very warm and inviting. Steak and cheese hoagies are to die for along with the antipasto and white Zinfandel dressing!

I have been here a handful of times… And never been disappointed… I’ve always had some sort of sandwich or hoagie, and or some soup… And I remember loving everything there :-)

We found this little gem in Hazelton when our vehicle broke down on I 81 and we limped in and had to spend the night waiting for the Ford dealership to open. It was a Sunday evening so we went in search of a place that had the NFL football games, beer and good food and we found it right here!
Danielle was working behind the bar and you couldn’t find a better bartender and great personality … She turned an unexpected break down into a pleasant enjoyable evening.
We started with their bruschetta which was a little different than the others we’ve had before in that it had black olives in it, but was very good. It was a large portion and came with plenty of toast points to enjoy it on.
For dinner we split the fireside special which was a 6 ounce New York strip on Italian bread with fried onions & peppers. We opted for a mixture of hot and sweet peppers and oh my were the hot peppers HOT! But the sandwich was very good and all the ingredients were fresh.
We met Ron, who I believe is the owner … He was extremely nice about our predicament and even extended a recommendation on who to contact at the dealership that I believe helped us out the following day with our mechanical issue.
It was definitely the service and friendliness of the staff at the bar that pushed this review up to a four star. The people of Hazelton are lucky to have such a nice establishment and great people in their area.
