I took a friend here last month for her birthday and she was raving about this place for quite some time. Located inside the London, valet parking is the only way to park inside the hotel. If you come on a weekend, you might have a good chance to park on the street. Take the elevator up and you’ll find yourself at this particularly classy restaurant. Once we were seated, I glanced over at the menu and what caught my eye in particular was the special of the day, which was the Roasted Top Sirloin of Sonoma Lamb, Confit Shoulder with a side of creamed potatoes, pearl onions, and lamb au jus. All I can say is that this entrée was smooth and well prepared, moist and tender. For dessert, we ordered two things: Valrhona chocolate fondant with brown butter caramel with vanilla ice cream and a mango sorbet(bday sorbet with«happy birthday» in dark chocolate. Great dining experience. Would love to come back for DineLA again sometime!

I was hoping to see Gordon Ramsay himself shouting and yelling at some chef, sous chef or line cook, but I guess watching Hell’s Kitchen will do. I read somewhere that he is still a consultant for this restaurant. I’ve been a Ramsay fan since forever, and this was my best chance of trying his food although technically not his restaurant. The restaurant is pretty fancy and nicely decorated. I think it could use a face-lift though and get some more modern décor. Burrata Toast: A buttery, toasted, thick slice of bread served which is serve with a nice spoonful of Burrata Cheese with some candied nuts. Pretty good. I am a Burrata lover so this didn’t disappoint. Very light. Bone Marrow Toast: Slightly disappointed because of the portion size. It was 3 tiny cubes of toast with some marrow spread on top and some garnish. Nothing special. I wish they would give an entire toast and not only 3 cubes. Beef Wellington: This is what I came here for and it did not disappoint. My GF and I shared this entrée since it served two. I thought I wouldn’t get full but it definitely hit the spot. The filet mignon was cooked a perfect medium rare and the puff pastry was nice and golden brown. It was melt in your mouth tender. The veggies were nicely cooked and the presentation was good. Definitely recommend. Signature dish! Sticky Toffee Pudding: Great dessert. 2nd favorite dish of the night. Words cannot describe it. Just get it. Panna Cotta: Simple and light Panna Cotta — nothing special. I liked the mango sorbet that came with it. Overall, some people might have high expectations because of the name. I will say it now… it is not great for a former Michelin Star recipient, but pretty good.

Dine LA2015 — Dinner $ 50.00 Marrow Toast( ) — Yum! Shrimp Risotto( ) — I thought this was pretty tasty with a pretty good amount of shrimp. Roasted Beef Wellington( ) — $ 20 supplement for this dish. When you think of dining at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant, you’d think his signature dish would be amazing right? I was pretty disappointed because it tasted so bland and the soggy pastry didn’t help. But other than that, I liked that it came out medium rare without me having to ask. Meyer Lemon Tart( ) — Too sour for my taste. English Sticky Toffee Pudding( ) — LOVETHISDESSERT! Probably the highlight of my dinner. Overall: Gorgeous restaurant. Food could be better. Good service. Don’t forget to validate your parking! $ 10 valet

Overall, my GF and I had a good time here! Tasty food, very nice waitress, and classy atmosphere. We ordered the shrimp risotto and bone marrow toast as our appetizers — we were debating sending the risotto back, because it was a little undercooked! How cool would it be to say we sent something back, at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant! But alas, we decided it was not worth the trouble. Bone marrow toast was really good, but only three small pieces. For our entrée round, we decided to add the $ 20 supplement(this was during DineLA) to have the Beef Wellington. We are food show fanatics and have heard so much about this dish, so we wanted to try it really badly. It was great, but it lacked the crunch and sear that I oh so love in my steaks. The filet mignon was definitely the softest, melty-licious beef I’ve had though. It also comes with potato, asparagus+bacon, a mini carrot, and sauce. Dessert was the famous Sticky Toffee Pudding and the Panna Cotta with mango sorbet. The Toffe Pudding was absolutely amazing, one of the best desserts I’ve ever had in my life. Panna Cotta was good, but nowhere near! Although we enjoyed the food, we had some problems with the timing of our meal. Our entrees came out exactly 35 minutes after we received our appetizers — way too long. At a restaurant like this, we would expect the timing of our food to be spot on. However, our waitress was kind and offered us drinks to make up for it, without us even asking. The center of my potato was undercooked, and they forgot to put the potato on my GF’s plate. GRITONORAMSAY tell your cooks to be more careful! Parking is $ 10 for valet, but we found a spot right on Sunset Blvd for $ 1.50 an hour, and it is a short walk to the restaurant. TIP: do not miss out on the Sticky Toffee Pudding! Overall, we would give it 3.5 stars. Rounded up to 4 because we love Gordon and the waitress was great.

Came here for DineLA and it did not disappoint. Located inside the London Hotel, I was surprised at how small the restaurant was. The décor was very fun. We were seated really close to another couple but they were finishing their meal as we were starting ours. I had the buratta appetizer which was delicious. Then we opted for the famous Wellington which was perfectly cooked and ideal for sharing. I really enjoyed the vegetables too. Lastly I had the coconut panna cotta. The mango sorbet that was served with it was delightfully refreshing and rounded out the meal.

Dear Mr. Ramsay, I’m a fan. I’ve watched and enjoyed your meteoric rise to the top. Hell’s Kitchen, Master Chef, and more have showcased your love, pride, and skill in the cooking world. That being said, you need to either check on your restaurants, or take your name off them if your standards are not being met(especially the case here, since you no longer own it.) Sincerely, Ben L. DineLA week 2015 stop #2 There’s as good a chance of Gordon Ramsay reading my review as there is of me winning the lottery. I just had to get that off my chest. The food was actually quite good, except for overpriced beverages. My wife and I paid $ 6 for valet during lunch service. Remember to have your server sign it. I started with a classic Gordon dish — a mushroom risotto. It was perfect. It was everything I thought it would be, and more. Gordon would proudly put his name on this. It was rich, creamy, and displayed great depth of flavor. Strong, divine mushrooms complimented perfectly cooked and seasoned rice. I’m glad to have finally tried this, even if he doesn’t own the place anymore. I asked if I could get beef Wellington as part of DineLA lunch, but they said no. Oh well-ington(haha). Apparently Gordon Ramsay Las Vegas is superior to this location, so I will make it a point to try it there. Mandy started off really strong with a genuine smile and prompt service. As the meal went on, we saw her less and less. At the end we left her a decent tip, but we couldn’t find her. I always prefer to directly hand our server the payment. Another staff member took our money. I’m always paranoid that person can take some of the cash for themselves, thereby leaving our server to conclude that we are cheap tippers. I felt overdressed. A lot of the clientele were wearing shorts and t-shirts. According to Mandy, Gordon no longer owns the place, but they still use his recipes. I doubt he ever checks on the place. He should really take his name off it. There’s just a certain expectation about coming here. It just rubs me the wrong way that his name is on it but he doesn’t actually have any professional interest in it. Gordon strikes me as a guy with extreme pride, high standards, and attention to detail. If only he saw the seats in this restaurant. The seat I sat in was old and had several tears in it(see the photos). My wife and I both ordered the $ 25 DineLA lunch. However, my lemonade was $ 6, as well as her iced tea. Just a tad overpriced, don’t you think? My wife got a regular coffee at the end, and that cost another $ 7. Ridiculous. Lemonade — tart, sour, good. Prime rib cap steak — seemed about 4 ounces in size. A little under seasoned but that’s what the bacon dressing is for I guess. Super tender. Even the accompanying tomato was excellent. Brussels sprouts — wow! Amazing char. I’ve never really liked Brussels sprouts but these were sensational. They tasted earthy and pure, and were well seasoned. I tried my wife’s salmon, and it was good, but standard. There was nothing special about it that made it stand out. Parmesan truffle fries — okay. Herbed caesar salad — good. Coconut panna cotta — This was one of the best desserts I’ve had in my entire life. The coconut and mango were stellar. I don’t like super sweet desserts. This was the perfect amount of sweetness — not too overpowering. Subtle, delicious, and elegant. The presentation was gorgeous. English sticky toffee pudding — I tried a bite and it was absolutely stunning. The warm cake combined with the cool ice cream to create an orgy in my mouth. Overall, I would say this is the most confused 4 stars I have ever given. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. Some elements were great, and some were subpar. The presentation throughout the course of the meal was outstanding. Did the London West Hollywood pay Gordon a certain fee to let them keep his name? I just feel somewhat duped eating at a restaurant with his name on it when he has nothing to do with it anymore. The food saved the 4 star rating. The mushroom risotto was fantastic. Both desserts were easily some of the best desserts I’ve had in my entire life. The service and ambience were standard. The seats just really threw me for a loop. I understand basic wear and tear, but this was embarrassing. I could envision him ripping them out, cussing up his infamous storm, and tossing them out the window. I see no need to ever come back here. When I do return to a Gordon Ramsay location, I will make sure it’s a restaurant that he actually owns.

Came here with my girl for Dine LA on a Sunday evening around 6:30PM. The nice thing about that was our reservation was originally scheduled for 8PM, but they called me to confirm the reservation. I asked them if there were any available times before that and they were very accommodating. Definitely didn’t want to eat that late of a dinner, but I booked the reservation pretty late, so that was expected. Anyway, this restaurant is in The London in West Hollywood. Dropped our car off at the Valet($ 10 with validation from the restaurant — it’s handled by your server after your dinner). Pretty fancy hotel — nice, bright décor and a lively lobby, to say the least. The restaurant had a real serene and romantic vibe to it. Candle-lit, dark, and sophisticated are the first descriptive words that come to my memory as I’m writing this. So for dineLA, my girl an I’s go-to strategy is to pick out different things on the menu so that we can get a taste of everything. We had the Shrimp Risotto and the Marrow Toast for our appetizer. The shrimp risotto was pretty good, had excellent flavoring, and topped with a thick juicy shrimp tail. Delicious. The Marrow Toast was really good, almost like a suped up croûton. It came with three and I must say, I’m a huge bread guy so this was definitely a delight to try this. Next, the main courses we got were the Pork Belly and Scallop and the Filet Mignon Angus. I absolutely LOVED the crispy skin on the pork belly. I pretty much ate the whole serving and didn’t let my girlfriend have any. Haha. She got more the filet mignon, which I thought was absolutely delicious too. The scallop tasted like most scallops at restaurants, so I have nothing to say about it. To top off the whole meal, the dessert was mindblowing! The ENGLISHTOFFEEPUDDING was probably my most favorite thing. Perfect ending to such a delicious meal. We also got to try the Panna Cotta, which came with some mango sorbet. It was cool. We’ve been to a few dineLA restaurants, and some of the places we’ve tried weren’t really worth it. However, I must really speak my heart out when I say this, Gordon Ramsey’s provided the best bang for your buck. SOWORTHIT! I’d come here again for sure. Nice staff, they were really attentive.

DineLA is once again here! As soon as I found out that this was coming back I immediately made my reservation asap! Last year I had really wanted to try Gordon Ramsay but was unfortunate that it didn’t happen. I knew better this time around. My reservation was for 6 people at 7:30 on Friday and boy oh boy was getting to West Hollywood a pain in the a*s! There was so much traffic on the 10 West and even though once you exit, it’s still a few miles till you get to the London Hotel. I knew I wasn’t going to make my reservation time and called them immediately and the hostess was so accommodating. Once we finally arrived, I had my car valet and headed to the restaurant. The rest of my girlfriends had arrived several minutes before me and once I checked in with them I was seated quite soon. The décor and ambience was very chic and modern with some views overlooking the city. My girlfriends and I decided to order different dishes off the DINELA menu so we could all try. I of course needed the Beef Wellington as my main course with Marrow toast as the starter and the Lemon Tart to finish it off. I only have good things to say about my food and overall experience. Is it worth it? Yes I would definitely go during DINELA. Tips-valet is probably better as I didn’t see where else to park around the London. It’s $ 10 with validation. Noise level was quiet so conversations can be made. Also if you decide on the beef Wellington it’s considered your main course and that must be split with another person. No exceptions. There is an additional $ 20 to the DINELA cost for ordering it.

A huge five stars for their tasting menu!!! The hubby brought me here recently for a surprise date night and the experience was top notch from start to finish! When we arrived, the valet was prompt and courteous, immediately helping me out of the car. And once we checked in with the restaurant hostess, we were quickly escorted to a very private corner booth! Hmmm… They were off to a pretty impressive start! Once you enter– you immediately notice the ambience. The atmosphere is intimate and sexy with dim lighting and plenty of room between tables. Za-za-zoom! All of our servers were very attentive and polite and after we perused the menu, we ultimately decided to try out the four course menu for two! To start, the first course was the delicious lobster bisque! This sinfully creamy starter was ooooh-so-buttery with huge chunks of lobster claw inside. Everything was perfectly cooked and was a great start to our meal! The second course was the wild mushroom risotto. Now after watching EVERY– SINGLE– SEASON of Hells Kitchen I was stoked to try the risotto at Chef Ramsays restaurant. And I am happy to report it did not disappoint! The rice was creamy and met every expectation in my book! The wild mushrooms added that faux-meaty texture that left a lasting impression! This dish was superb! But i was most excited about the next course… The delicious beef wellie!!! Now since this is a tasting menu for two, the hubby and I were splitting a beef wellington and trust me it was more than enough food! The wellies were cooked to perfection and to this day I dream about em. Plus, splitting a beef wellie is kinda sweet, especially for a date night! And the finale was the butterscotch bread pudding. Different… Good but different! Very moist and flavorful, just not my cup of tea! Overall– This is a great date night spot when you wanna impress that special someone in your life! The food was superb and the service was impeccable. Definitely first class service all the way. I would definitely return!

I don’t really understand how Gordon Ramsay be a celebrity chef when his restaurant isn’t even good. What?! So he screams at people on the show and then you go to the restaurant and there is nobody for you to scream at? Haha. just kidding. First of all… went with the four course menu prix fixe which was very reasonable at $ 65. I thought he would try to mug you for all you’re worth(valet is $ 10 with your validation at this restaurant). Biggest complaint. no fresh ground pepper available on the table or offered with each course. The food was less than exciting: — Lobster bisque: Probably the best out of everything… had two chunks of lobster meat. Good I thought. — Mushroom Risotto: Mushrooms were divine. risotto was okay. I think it was a bit harder than I like. I didn’t finish it all. — Beef Wellington: This is his signature dish right? Ehhhhh… it’s not that good. Is it supposed to be tender? Interesting little veggies on the side of the plate but I am not really that excited about it. — Dessert was ice cream on a molten cake… it was okay. not really that gooey to be honest. I can make this myself. Oh it was very exciting to find out a half bottle was $ 20! That probably was cheaper than I thought it’d be. Got a bottle from Paso Robles. It was okay… I might come back again. and yes, it was cheaper than I thought it would be. but still, I expected more from an angry celebrity chef.

I have been here twice and on both occasions been slightly dissatisfied with the main menu items. 3 stars The pairings do not spark, nor appeal to my pallet. What does appeal however, are the decadent desserts. 5 stars My picks; Crème Brûlée Toffee Pudding Cake Here’s to good eats, especially when the dessert is worth skipping the main course! xx

How did I forget to write a review for this place? I went during restaurant week so it was $ 100 per person– appetizer, entrée, dessert. This place is really upscale and do valet only. Each plate was quite scrumptious and of good proportions. The desert, where I got an apple cobbler, wasn’t as great as my expectations were as I had hoped for this place. However, the risotto was delicious, creamy, and the best I’ve tried. The fish was delicate and fluffy. The only issue I had was that our server who gave us the bill gave us the wrong change back. Other than that, I’d come back if they had another promotion going on. Far drive for some good food though.

My bf & I came here for our anniversary dinner and it was the worst experience ever. After having dined at Gordon Ramsay’s steakhouse in Vegas, I was mindblown by the beef wellington and service there. Everything was above and beyond what I expected. Unfortunately, The Gordon Ramsay restaurant in LA was completely opposite. The hostess was the only one that left a good impression. Our waiter wins the award for world’s worst waiter. I’ve never had service that horrible before. Even chick fil a offered better service. The couple sitting next to us even agreed. Pork belly asparagus risotto w/over easy fried quail egg — presentation was nice, but the risotto lacked that rich creamy texture to it. The pork belly was dry too Chicory stilton salad — you know it’s sad when the salad was the best dish of the night. Again, presentation was great. The salad was refreshing, I was surprised at how crisp and fresh it was. The figs and grapes paired well w/the dressing, adding a hint of sweetness. Beef Wellington — The one in Vegas was 10000x better! The beef came out too rare w/blood oozing out onto my plate and when I asked the waiter to see if the chef can take it up a notch, he gave me attitude. It literally took him 30 minutes before bringing it back and the restaurant wasn’t even busy! Sticky toffee pudding — Another disappointment. The sticky toffee pudding at this steakhouse in Vegas was bigger and tasted much better. The date cake here was the size of a mini muffin bite and was dry. Also, the one in Vegas had brown butter ice cream to accompany this dessert, but for some reason they didn’t have that here. PB& J chocolate cremeux — Basically it was like eating a kit kat w/peanut butter. Gordon needs to do an episode of kitchen nightmares at this restaurant! The interior was horrible and just old. Seems like he doesn’t give a sh*t about this restaurant anymore. I did hear rumors that he no longer owns this place, but the hotel just kept his name so that could be a reason as to why it’s so horrible! So overall, wasted over $ 100 for dinner and valet had a fee.

TBH I wasn’t expecting much– but everything was absolutely solid and charming. We came in to escape the Halloween madness(I hate dressing up, seriously) so the place was(pardon my pun) dead empty. The first thing I noticed were the charming shabbychic sofas and intimate seating arrangements. I LOVE how weho restaurants use couches instead of chairs– so cozy! Also loved the view and sprawling windows so you can look upon all the madness that is hollywood. Here’s what we had: Scallop: Only one scallop– but its a big one! There’s no real«salad» that comes with it– all the greens are just garnish. Yummy, juicy and DELICIOUS. Perfectly cooked with a creamy savory sauce Beef tartare– I was a bit scared of this one, but ended up loving the tangy vinaigrette. The texture reminded me of spicy tuna? Filet mignon– The steak was oddly stringy to cut but the flavors were delicious! Also loved the greens that came with. Didn’t love the fingerling potatoes– but was thankful for that — as was my waistline. Wine– I had the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. I’ve only recently started really getting in to wine, and this is one of the most fragrant wines I’ve ever tasted. It was so fresh, juicy and fruit-forward. Really delicious although I probably should have picked something a bit more dry. A nice pour, too ;]. Service– on point. Attentive staff who was kind and patient. Also the hotel staff in general are super cordial– welcoming you whenever you walk in to a room etc. Overall really happy with the décor, plating, meal etc. Is it one of my favorite restaurants ever? No– maybe because it was empty or because we weren’t celebrating anything but it does sort of lack that je né sais quoi. But at the same time I really can’t think of any complaints and I thought the food was delicious, so i’ll say money well spent! A cute date spot if you’re ever in the area.

The only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is because of the views. The food is forgettable and they do not have many lunch options. I think the entire menu had a total of 8 options to choose from. I had the spinach salad with shrimp and scallops. The shrimp and scallops needed more seasoning. Next time I come back i’ll make sure to have lunch first and then come here for drinks only. Oh, 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. Even if it is just a party of two.

DineLA with the fiancé and in-laws was both a decent success and disappointment. We all love watching GR on his shows and wanted to try this restaurant as soon as the dineLA list came out. 9:15 reservation and didn’t get seated till 30 minutes later. We waited at the bar and had some wine and Moscow mules which were nicely made but unfortunately served in a regular glass. I think they must have forgotten our table cus we for escorted into a huge private room. They made up for it but giving us all glasses of complimentary champagne. Asked us if we wanted some dill rolls and butter which we did since we were starving but we later looked at the bill and we were charged for them! We brought our own wine and online it said $ 35 corkage fee(which is really steep!) but when we looked at the bill later on, we were charged $ 40. Skip to food: we got the charred Spanish octopus which was tasty and the pork belly asparagus risotto with quail egg which was my favorite dish of the night. I would come back solely for this and this only. Beef Wellington was perfectly cooked and puff pastry nice and crispy. Dessert: English toffee with ice cream, peanut butter and chocolate creameux and strawberry shortcake with olive oil gelato. All 3 desserts were very very good. Nice end to the meal. Food overall was pretty good but service and little hidden fees were not. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here but damn that pork belly risotto.

Quick notes: Parking is valet only. Try street or a nearby lot if you’re like me and you don’t trust valet. The Wellington was amazing. Get it. The Malbec wine was delicious. Worth the $ 72. I drank almost the entire bottle myself. Worked well with the beef. I’m thorn between 3 and 4… This is a Michelin star so I had higher expectations. Had they not had that star, I would’ve given them 4. After dining at numerous Michelin star restaurants around the world. My expectations for Michelin star establishments are high. The octopus was great. Not overly charred. The Cesar was good EXCEPT the massive croûton… It was impossible to cut with a knife or break with my teeth… Too hard. The risotto was good, especially with the pork belly and quail egg. The pork belly was cooked perfectly. The Wellington beef is what you come here for. At first it didn’t seem too special. But take a bite with everything on the dish(butter greens included). It’ll be a great combination and you’ll love the flavors. Service is good but could be better. I dislike having to refill my own wine(never did they pour it. Except the first glass). Water was empty for too long as well. These are nitpicking so don’t make at every restaurant, but my expectations for a Michelin star establishment are higher(as they should be). Will I be back? Probably not. I have a goal to try every Michelin star restaurant in LA(more than halfway there) and eventually dozens across the world(not there yet). I fulfilled my desire to mark this place off my list. Was it worth the ~$ 250 night? Yes. Would I do it again? Not my top choice. Hatfield’s is a better pick in my opinion. As are Ruth’s Chris, Boa, Morton’s, Hatfield’s, etc.

3 ½ stars. Went for DineLA — 3 courses for $ 45 pp. This was a good deal, as the regular prices are pretty steep here. The charred octopus app was good and the pork belly risotto with quail egg app was good, but the risotto was underseasoned. The petite filet entrée was nicely cooked and tasty but the potato was very dry. The ling cod with shrimp and mussels was nice but was a very small portion. For dessert, the strawberry cake with olive oil gelato was fine but not memorable. The sticky toffee pudding was a bit dry inside and was accompanied by brown butter ice cream. Overall, the meal was good but definitely not great. Plating was beautiful, though. I expected a lot more from a Ramsay restaurant and for the prices charged. I had eaten here once before about 2 years ago, and it was much better then. The service was very good and the restaurant itself is quite beautiful. But the food should really be head and shoulders above most places. It wasn’t. I have no desire to return during DineLA or at any other time.

A sizable restaurant located in the London, Gordon Ramsay West Hollywood serves hit-or-miss food in an elegant setting. We sat by the window at the end of a long, light blue booth that is shared with other tables; we could hear the next table’s conversation quite easily, not super romantic for a date. The tables might be seated a bit to close to one another. At night, you can’t see much out the window, but I have read that there’s good views during the day. The service was slow at times, and we had to wait a bit for our food. However, the food that is supposed to be hot all came out perfectly hot so we were happy that the dishes are made to order and served quickly. For appetizer, we tried the clams with linguine and the ceviche. I liked the that the linguine was cooked al dente, but it was extremely salty. The clams also tasted very fishy so I don’t think they were very fresh. The ceviche was not very memorable as well. For the entrees, we got the steak and scallop with risotto. The steak was cooked quite well, and it was juicy. I loved the scallop mushrooms risotto with a hint of truffle oil, but I was disappointed that there literally was only one scallop! For dessert, we got the take away macarons which came in a cute cylinder container to take home. We also got the passion fruit cake that just taste like pudding/jello, not much of a cake. Overall, this is a good place for business meals or a date if you are in the area. I would not go out of my way to come here for a meal as the food was just not that special.

Very elegant restaurant, feeling so classy dinning there~ The Service: EXCELLENT!!! Our server, Alex, is absolutely fantastic! He is so professional. He knows the menu so well & gives great recommendation. All the staffs in the restaurant are very pleasant. Great service! The Food: High quality food. Beautiful plating. However, portion is really way way way too small for the price they charge. After an expensive meal… I AMSTILLHUNGRY!!! The Parking: With validation, $ 10 valet parking
