Great selection of wine, free parking lot, and fast service. First time coming here and everything was so organized and easy to navigate. Was surprised they had a decent number of Spanish reds and the manager showed me where they were right away and was honey about the ones he’d tried and liked. I ended up getting a 10.99 bottle of Rocas Granacha and a $ 7.99 2013 Tempranillo. Super happy and will definitely be back. They also have a small grocery section with dry/​canned goods, candies, cheeses, meats and non alcoholic beverages if you’re looking for a good lil corner store

Great employees. Jeff is very cool & helpful. Great place to buy your supplies for parties, holiday celebrations, or dinners. Lots of selection including Fiji water, the best spirits, beer, and mixers.

I went in for something really specific. Although they didn’t have what I was looking for they gave me the wine buyers card and took 5 – 10 minutes to show me other options. The gentleman that helped me was really nice and knowledgeable.

This place doubles as a wine store and quick stop shop.
The selection of wine is superb. I came here looking for a bold meaty cab from a small Napa Winery (Caldwell) and actually found it.

Ideal for a quick pick-​up of a wine bottle because they have their own parking lot and near the front register is a rack with affordably priced, quality wines. The front rack is actually my favorite part of the store because of the smart selections.
Other than that, there isn’t much that distinguishes this store with above retail prices and a booze selection that is mostly common brands. The wine selection is more unique, but not special enough to return.

I literally stumbled across John & Pete’s Fine Wine & Spirits the other day while I was shopping for a good friend’s bachelorette party — if you can’t tell, I’m a girl who likes to be on her toes and on her feet, so I favor places I can walk to. This place is in close walking distance and has QUITE the epic selection of Champagne, Wines, Beer, Liquor and more — simply put: you want to imbibe it? They have it!
The gentlemen that run the shop are beyond friendly — so between a stellar selection and great service, believe me when I say I’ll be back!

Totally inconsistent. Almost seems like the staff is on crack because once you go in and they are so enthusiastic and other times they are downright rude and miserable. especially oner of the guys. dont know his name. slender dude. Anyway They are kind of knowledgeable on wines etc. But they can practically ruin your evening if they are in a bad mood.
Go Figure. Once the guy even refused to deliver to me because he did not like what I ordered ! I swear this is true. There is a minimum of $ 15 – 20 and i missed the minimum amount so I ordered 2 airplane size bottles — the mini bottles and he literwaslly said «i cant deliver this. you need to order bigger things» — HELLO I hit the minimum! who cares if I order chips or beer or gumballs. Finally i talked to a manager and of course they sent my order, SHEESH ! ! ! !

Great service:) I was looking for a good kosher wine. Stopped by and made a choice! Fast, pleasant, knowledgeable staff.

I’ve used J&P’s a lot while at work to order fancy bottles of wine for clients (and they’re FANTASTIC at offering an amazing selection, and never ever upselling you) — so I always assumed that if I ever visited their store (just off of Melrose), it’d be super fancy and I’d look stupid. Not at all the case — it looks like any other liquor store, and the employees are SUPER nice and super helpful.
I went in there and asked them to help me pick out a $ 20-​$ 30 bottle of red I was giving as a gift. They asked if it was a a thank you gift and I told them I needed something that said «I’m sending this wine as a thank you out of obligation, even though you’re a douchebag» and they helped me pick out the best bottle (for only $ 19.99!).
Best part? They promised that’s not even close to the strangest request they’ve gotten. Love J&P’s!

So, yes, we went to pick up a bottle of wine before dinner last night and I was quite excited to see all the different bottles of vodka. At first, I was disappointed to see p.i.n.k. vodka but then I looked again and saw Pinky! Yeah! I grabbed it even though it was $ 5 – 6 more than it should have been. I don’t care, the thing comes in a box with recipes on the back. Classy! It was definitely the only vodka bottle I’ve ever seen that comes in a box. Hmm, but maybe I shouldn’t have left it with the gay boys as I might come back to an empty box the next time I visit my bottle.
Then I saw the freakin’ cool bottle of Absolut perfect for my friend’s birthday in a couple of days. I wandered over to the wine section and that’s when we heard the ruckus.
I didn’t want to approach the counter while the fight was going on between the crazy yelling lady who insisted her tiny 3-​pound dog was a service animal but we had no choice as we were going to be late for our dinner reservations. The clerk was still yelling back at the woman as she started laying it into the manager while he was running around to get the Pinky’s price (the fancy box didn’t scan). It was entirely unpleasant.
I don’t plan to return to this store despite the fact it has parking, my Pinky vodka and a pretty wide selection of wine and other liquors. It was just too stressful.

I stopped by this afternoon because I was early for an appointment in the area. I was very impressed with the staff of this store. As I was browsing I heard one of the staff say he was heading home. He walked to the back of the store and as he passed me he asked if I needed any assistance. ‘No, thanks, just looking.’
I continued to look and 2 other staff members came over to make sure I didn’t need help. I was just looking to take in their inventory and their prices. I found their prices to be good. Their variety was good and they had wines for all price points.
It looks like they may do wine tastings. I didn’t have time to ask, but I will be back to find out more about this store.

J&P does not help myproblem buying, drinking and saving wine of all diffferent colors, varietals, and countries of orgin. Not only is their selection of wine a constantly rotating it is also mostly moderately priced (not the place to look for an estate bottled first growth bordeaux) and interesting.
