Margarita Rocks LA

This place was cool enough for some happy hour drinks with my BFF. We drank some Margaritas which were 2-​for-​1, and those were pretty good! Then, we had the nachos which were okay… enough as a «meal» for the two of us.
In my opinion, it’s a nice place to get a few margaritas and have some apps… Ambiance is okay, good for a relaxed hang out.

Adequate. Happy hour brunch on Labor Day. Great people watching on the outdoor seating. But super slow on drinks, which is kind of unforgivable for brunch. Food was OK all around, but not stellar. What sells the place is the sidewalk seating.

With my Dad living in Marina, we rarely do the ‘Hollywood’ thing. There is so much good food within walking distance to him so it’s hard for us to get out and try anything new! Being forced to find something in WeHo (hipster cool talk for West Hollywood) proved to be a little difficult. Every single place was advertising happy hour, the ‘best margaritas’ and all had equally gorgeous, half-​naked boy bartenders. We settled on ‘Margarita Rocks’ honestly because of the flat screens with music videos playing. You can’t put my Dad and I in a room without music so give us music videos and we will stay all night! (And that is precisely what we did). The happy hour special was 2-​for-​1 drinks but we assumed that meant the cost of my drink and my Dads drink would be 1. no, no. Four drinks got brought to the table, three to four different times. It was tequila magic at it’s finest. Food-​wise we tried the ceviche and guacamole that were both equally as magical but for the most part stuck to a liquid diet. The MUSIC was Ah-​MAZING! When a spoof music video for ‘Call Me Maybe’ came on with a bunch of shirtless gay boys that looked like they stepped out of an Abercrombie ad came on — I died. Around 10PM the inside becomes a nightclub and you best believe we stayed to shake it! We will definitely be doing ‘The Hollywood Thing’ more often, especially at Margarita Rocks.

This place was okay. Indoor/​outdoor seating in the heart of WeHo and 2 for 1 happy hour. The food wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t great. I give this place 3 stars.

The new menu is amazing. The food is great. Get the ribs as an appetizer. the burrito is so good

Interesting ambiance and great food. Mexican restaurant by day and gay club at night. Food was fresh and flavorful. Would describe it as Mexican American fusion. 2 for 1 margerita happy hour!
