Well I’m pretty picky when it comes to sushi and I have had a lot of it during my time on this planet. I must say I always come back to this place once or twice a week. The sushi has always been amazing and I love the speciality rolls with fried onions, I could honestly have a plate of that alone. The Toro sashimi when in season is so smooth and tender to the taste buds. My favorite thing is the Flavored Sake which changes weekly or so and a crate of that does the trick for me. I wouldn’t say I’m a regular there but the staff knows who I am and we seem to get the same table every time. I honestly have tried other places and have went here either the same day or next to actually have a great sushi experience. *don’t forget to check in for something special

Worth it, worth it, worth it! I didn’t really start craving sushi until my co-worker brought me here. They have a nice and quiet indoor area, but on a nice day – try the outdoor patio. It’s very comfortable. The people who work here are really nice and accommodating as well. I’ve been here a few times already, but held off on writing a review since there were just too many items I didn’t try on the menu yet. However, after much much thought, I’m ready to share my go-to’s :P — the bento boxes are a great bang for your buck if you like variety that can fill you up. teriyaki bento box ftw! — the sashimi choice comes with tuna, yellowtail, salmon, rice, and miso soup — the PHILADELPHIAROLLYO. Love that cream cheese. My co-workers and I love coming to Nori when we want to celebrate a birthday, or just when we feel like sushi. if it’s your birthday though… let them know, so they can give you their fried green tea ice cream. Nomnom.

Really enjoy this spot. I grab a seat at the counter and let the chef impress. And they regularly do.

I have tried many many sushi restaurants but this one has the best sushi in LA. I’ve come this place once a week for over 3months. They have different special sushi every time I go. UNI is one of my favorite and they also have omakase special which you can get all different fresh sushi. I always get rib-eye yaki udon if I am not full enough with sushi. And green tea waffle with ice cream is perfect for desert. Now I moved across the states and this restaurant will be the first place I will visit if I ever go back. Try oysters if they have them.

Food has been consistently good. I have gone for dinner and lunch and both times I have been very impressed. The spicy edamame are top notch and the sushi is very fresh! I would recommend stopping by if you are in the we ho area!

I very rarely write one star reviews, and I’ve had very good sushi here, today however was not the case. Service was not great, I was one of only two tables, yet server couldn’t remember to bring the lemon I asked for. My Rice Nugget was so over cooked that I could barely bite into it, little to no eel sauce, and no avocado at all. The Vegetable Tempura is minuscule slivers of carrots and other indistinguishable vegetables, you’re basically eating batter. I understand that may be their style of preparing it, but don’t expect any actually vegetables. Overall I was really disappointed in my experience and won’t be back, which is sad, because it’s walking distance from my home.

Amazing omakase — starting at 13 pieces for $ 40. Fresh fish and great flavor combinations/light seasoning. Service was perfect too.

Wanted some sushi and since we got stuck another day in LA we decided to come check this gem out. I ordered the Star roll and the Philadelphia roll and the Garlic edamame. Probably some of the best sushi my boyfriend and I have ever had! If we are ever in LA again we will def be coming here. Service was amazing as well!

I’ve been here twice now and I really, really want to like it more but it just doesn’t live up to the hype of the reviews I’ve read from others. Both times were for dinner — both on weeknights so it wasn’t an issue getting a table. Service is good; they’re quick to give refills on water and tea, as well as clear away any empty dishes on the tables to make room(the tables are pretty small if you sit inside, so you can’t really fit a lot of plates on one which makes it a little difficult if you’re ordering a lot of rolls.) First off, if you order tea, you’ll get your own kettle, which is super sweet. Except the tea itself is lukewarm, so you’ll want to ask them for hotter water if you’re not okay with tea that’s a little warmer than room temperature. We got a variety of specialty rolls our first time around, and while the fish was fresh, the rolls themselves were a little underwhelming and unremarkable. They weren’t bad, but they weren’t amazing either, and I’ve had rolls that have more flavor to them — I think it might be the lack of combination in the sauce with rolls, or the fish just wasn’t as fresh that night. What I did appreciate was that there wasn’t too much rice; the ratio of fish to rice was one of the better ones I’ve experienced. The second time we got vegetable and shrimp tempura appetizers, seafood udon, and another set of regular rolls: spicy salmon, spicy tuna, eel avocado, and yellowtail. The veggie and shrimp tempura were both all right; I like veggie tempura with the whole veggie in the tempura batter but theirs was kind of a glorified onion ring with additional zucchini and carrots. Crispiness was okay, but on the oilier side. The seafood udon was pleasant; they were very generous in the amount of seafood in the soup, which is refreshing. Again, flavors weren’t spectacular but it was a solid dish. I was hoping to be wow-ed by the fish this time but no luck. It didn’t taste particularly fresher than other places, and the best was probably the yellowtail and eel avocado rolls. Not really worth the price if you’re going to this place to really get a lot of sushi. The restaurant itself is pretty chic, as you’d expect in WeHo, and they have a nice outdoor seating area. They do seem to offer a pretty solid happy hour menu, which might be worth checking out, but all in all the food here is average.

FRESHFRESHFRESH! I eat sushi all the time and I was taken aback by one particular roll in particular. The Ahi Tuna Tataki roll has spicy tuna, asparagus, cucumber, seared ahi tuna, avocado, and crispy onions with a special dressing. This roll alone is worth going here for. Maybe it’s not customary to do so, but I normally add ginger and soy sauce to everything. The Ahi Tuna Tataki was so good that I didn’t want to destroy it’s perfection. My friend and I also enjoyed an eel avocado roll and rainbow roll. You can really taste the freshness of the fish. Service was nice and outdoor seating was available. It was a bit cold this time around but next time when the weather permits I’m going to have my special roll and Sapporo there.

Enjoyed Nori for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn’t very busy and I was glad to find a free parking spot in the centers small lot. Pleasant atmosphere, clean and comfortable. Our server and our sushi chef were, friendly — maybe could have been a little more attentive though. Sushi chef had good knife skills and was detailed in his presentation. Fish was fresh and good quality. There’s a Unilocal check in for free edamame — however we wanted the garlic and chili edamame — not included on the check in deal but we took both bowls and mixed them together — it was a perfect for the 3 of us to split. Prices felt a little bit high overall, but not much considering the area. Everything was good — but nothing really«wowed» me. I enjoy going to a place and trying their specialties — there was no board of fresh specials anywhere. I asked the chef to create one of his specialties — a one order round of «omakase” — anything he likes to eat or create. Most sushi chefs love to share something they like or even show off one of their own creations. Not here — chef’s response«I just like to keep it simple». I understand being traditional, but even within that traditional style there’s room for creative artistry. It didn’t seem like it was the sushi bar striving to stay traditional as evidenced by items on their menu — it felt like he just didn’t want to expend any thought power at all. — Disappointing, and cost them a star. Don’t get me wrong — Nori is a solid sushi bar, based on other reviews it looks like they provide a consistent quality experience so no problem going back — especially if I don’t have time to look for another place. But if I do have time, I’ll most likely be in search of a 5 star!

This place is a little cute spot on Santa Monica blvd. Came here because it was the only spot open late night on a Sunday. We were seated quickly. There’s an inside sushi bar and an outside patio. If your looking for a quick spot to grab sushi with a friend, this place is nice. The sushi place is just like any other sushi place so I cant really distinguish anything other than if you want sushi and you live nearby mind as well stop here. The service is good, the atmosphere of the place is good, and I’m sure with good company you would find this place well.

Pretty good alternative to echi sushi which shut down up the street. Bit more expensive but pretty similar in quality. The service is good, and their outdoor patio is cute for a casual lunch! Tried their baked scallop, amongst other rolls.

Awesome awesome awesome! Yvonne, our server, was sweet, thorough, and new her stuff. The sushi was also amazing! The yellowtail with jalapeño, the crispy rice, baby squid, the mackerel, everything! Right down to the Miso soup. Will definitely return the next time I’m in WEHO. BTW… It is rare that I rate anything with 5 stars.

Came here last minute at 8 pm on a Saturday night with no reservation, on the way to a concert at The Troubador. There was no wait and ample seating in this small establishment. We opted to sit at the bar because we were famished and wanted to eat quickly. Out server was sweet. A little high strung, but efficient. We ordered a salmon roll, veggie roll and a sashimi salad. All were decent. Plus, my friend had a glass of wine. Altogether, with tip, the meal was around $ 50; which I find very pricey for what we ordered(see pics below). There are so many better spots in LA. The fish here seemed pre-frozen. Not as fresh as some other places I’ve been to in the area. It was quick and easy, so if I ever came back here it would be for that reason. Not for the quality(or ambiance), but more so foe the convenience.

Wow. This has got to one of the better sushi bars that I have been too in LA. I came here on a Saturday night to meet with an friend that I have not seen for sometime. Okay, it was more like a date. Regardless of what you call it, we had a great time at Nori Sushi. Who would have thought that a great sushi bar would be in WeHo behind dark windows. The last time I judged a place by its appearance was a Peruvian restaurant which I thought was ghetto and dealt with the mob. Boy was I wrong. We ordered the fatty tuna, ahi, unagi, my favorite the salmon roe, some rolls and sashimi. The fish here was fresh. Like fresh from the ocean to your plate. I was hoping to have my Tokyo experience of them bring the fresh sashimi with the fish still breathing. Salivating now. I will say that they did make up for their mistake of forgetting about our table as we waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our order. Good. Customer service. Park in the lot or on the street.

Best sushi place I’ve been to in West Hollywood — I had the mango sake — poki poki roll … seriously so good I’ll definitely be back here. The service and setting is excellent. Sushi is often disappointing, I’m so glad I found a place that’s always delicious :)
