Literally the worst fried rice I have ever had in my life — mushy, salty and flavorless. It was completely inedible. I’m only giving 2 stars because the garlic rolls were good. BUT we had to ask for them, and I only got one. I would not come back.

Such a wonderful addition to the design center! Very convenient for client lunches or to just catch up with friends. Love their Chinois Chicken Salad.

Welcoming and inviting employees. Nice quiet space where you can sit alone and having a working lunch or enjoy conversation with friends. Try the turkey burger with Parmesan truffle fries. Yum!

Pretty sure Wolfgang Puck would have torn his name off the front door had he walked in during my lunch. Upon sitting at the bar to no bartender or menu, I politely ask for a drink and bar list. The guy cannot find a menu so he proceeds to read off his beer selection while crouched on the floor looking in their fridge. Once I order a beer, I’m given a trendy pint class that still has last night’s fingerprints, water spots and crusty grenadine flakes in it. I order their $ 16 hamburger. It arrives at the same time as their complementary bread — which was actually really awesome and fresh. The burger however… Over cooked, undersized and with a bun that seemed to have been left out for a good week before it was used. To stomach it, I removed the stale bread and made an attempt at the meat. I’ve had better burgers at college BBQ’s Take away: this place proves that no amount of minimalistic furniture and celebrity chef sponsorship can mask what ultimately matters: good food that warrants the price tag. Disclaimer: the one star I’m giving this place is directly solely at the waitstaff who treated me well.

This restaurant is located on the first floor in the building I work in so when it comes to getting food in the most fast and efficient way, it seemed reasonable to order food from here. The menu items were simple and straight forward. I ended up getting the Kobe burger which was $ 15. Take away time to pick up was about 15 – 20 min.(pretty normal for that matter.) The only deal breaker for me was, when I received my food, the presentation was pretty but the food didn’t make the cut for me. For $ 15 for a burger, I expected the meat to have a juicy consistency to it, but frankly, it tasted like something I could’ve gotten at Red Robin or Dennys for half the price. Maybe I’ll give this place another shot and venture out to try something else on the menu.

This Wolfgang Puck restaurant is definitely overlooked and under rated! Their menu changes seasonally and always has some delicious surprises. The restaurant is very modern and nice. My favorite would be their happy hour on Thursdays! The drinks are delicious!!! Their holiday cocktails like the eggnog and peppermint are worth a visit. Really sweet and caring staff, love Jesse :) Other than the happy hour menu, some of their menu items can be overpriced… and there aren’t that many options to choose from, but once in a while it wont upset.

The rating would be higher if it wasn’t so overpriced. I work in the PDC and I don’t think anyone would come here if they didn’t work here. $ 8 for a caesar salad, but to add chicken it’s another $ 4. So that’s $ 12 for a chicken caesar salad. The salad itself is very good, but I could go to so many nearby places and get the same thing or equally good meal for under $ 10. I only come here when I’m busy at work and need food quickly so I can just run down real fast and grab it and go. It’s convenient, but why so friggen overpriced? Right now I’m eating their squash tortelloni which is $ 12. I picked it up and brought it back to my desk. I opened the bag and found two containers. One is of some bread, and the other is contains… NINE tortellonis. Uh… I know it’s LA and people don’t like to eat much, but nine tortellonis for $ 12??? I can finish this entire thing in like 45 seconds! It’s good, but damn! Lower your prices or give me more food!

What’s this lonely Wolfgang Puck establishment doing at the Pacific Design Center, anyway? Sure, it’s convenient for employees in the offices to come down for a lunch meeting but most of us opt to walk elsewhere because the quality is sub-par. The only thing people recommend that is decent is the burger — that’s it. Not a Wolfgang Puck quality establishment. Then again, what Wolfgang Puck establishment is of high quality anymore? Things change. People change.

I ate here today and had the $ 15 tuna albacore burger with a plate of fries and some iced tea. And my friend had a cup of clam chowder and an appetizer of fried shrimp. At lunch, this place fills up quickly and is mobbed with a loud, boisterous, very tailored, very design conscious crowd. The noise is quite deafening at times, and at our table in the very corner near the window, we thought we trapped inside some gay madhouse of riotous laughs and people screaming«Oh, no you did not!» We had a very difficult time tracking down the waiter who brought us our food and drinks and then disappeared for 20 minutes until I got up and flagged him down. I would not make this a destination restaurant. It seems to exist purely as a convenient place to take a client to lunch or for people who work inside the PDC.

I recently started working here at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood and on my first day decided to treat myself to a little Wolfgang Puck’s Red Seven, which is conveniently located on the first floor of the PDC. The place is very trendy, it’s one of those places where you walk in and you can already tell the price of the menu… not cheap. There are a few things that I found I really didn’t like about this place and the biggest thing was probably menu selection. I’m not sure if they have a different menu for dinner, but during lunch there was probably about 20 things, if that, to choose from, all of which were priced above $ 14.00…and my ice tea was $ 4.00. to give you an idea of pricing. The food is delicious, very light, and very eclectic. The side salads are superb with their sandwiches and I would definitely love to try some of their other menu items, but not at 25 bucks a pop for lunch… including tip of course. Faith was my server both times I ate here and she’s fantastic. She was very careful to make sure I was taken care of, even though I was eating alone on my lunch break. On one occasion I had the Avocado Chicken Salad Sandwich was absolutely amazing and the other time I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was even better! Overall, the food is great, but it’s light and it’s expensive, but hey, it’s West Hollywood right off of Santa Monica and Melrose… so I didn’t really expect anything else. This place, essentially, didn’t WOW me, but the food was good, the service was good, and the pricing was a little high.

Terrible service, ordinary food and simply just not that interesting of a eatery to visit. Red Seven is located on the first floor of the Pacific Design Center, so it’s a bit hard to find if you are not familiar with the area. But really, why would you even bother to want to go anyway? I had two different experience the last two times I visited. 1st visit: Service was okay during lunch. Since we were friendly, the server Jessy was friendly to us back. Plus, we were the only table at the restaurant so the server could handle us. Food was enjoyable but average and pricey. I asked for a box for my leftover sweet potatoe fries but another waiter came and took the leftovers away… oh well… didn’t give it too much thought at the time. 2nd visit: TERRIBLE service by Jessy(ugh) and I only had takeout for lunch! I waited for about 10 minutes before I could place a simple salad order. Jessy acknowledged me but kept walking away to wait on other tables, bring them food, play on the computer to print out their checks, bring their checks, etc. I stood and stood for a long time next to the register, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. There were more customers this time around. I finally got to place a simple salad order, and waited patiently for another 10 minutes for the server to run around the restaurant. At one point, I caught eyes with him, and he went behind one of the revolving doors to the kitchen and waltz’ed out 30 seconds later with my salad. Phew. FINALLY! When I got back to the office and opened the salad, I was so disappointed. There was no dressing and looked like someone just put their hand into those salad bags that you can buy at the grocery store, placed a handful of it in a box and gave to me. That’s what I got for a 20-minute wait at a restaurant? I should’ve just went to the grocery store then… Never again.

I work in the Pacific Design Center Building and Red Seven always hits the spot for me when I don’t bring my own lunch. :) Jesse always takes care of me. I LOVE their grilled cheese and the Tomato Bisque soup. **drool** The price is a bit high but for a «once in a while» splurge, I really dont mind it since the food taste really great. All the salads are great and there’s nothing on the menu that’s not good. Good food. FANTASTICSERVICE(thanks jesse). Convenient if you work here or just visiting the center.

Thursday night happy hour review here, too.(From 5 — 8 pm) The design of this place is beautiful. Very trendy and open. It is a bit tricky to find, but it adds to the charm, right? We entered to a pretty full booth seating area, but the other half of the place with tables and chairs was open. There was no official waiter for our large group since we sat at the tables and we had to go order at the bar though. Ordered the baby back ribs– fall off the bone good! Garlic fries also pleasant and come in a big platter with ketchup. The drinks are a good size for the price; the Red Limon was pretty strong. The beer comes in large wine glasses, classy! Our group stayed til 8:45 after Red Seven officially closed, they were nice enough to let us stay without formally kicking us out! I’d like to go back and try other items on the happy hour menu, it’s a very casual and relaxed atmosphere to just hang out with friends. Parking was free in the Pacific Design Center lot(called ahead and they said to enter from Melrose), though the attendant didn’t give us a parking stub and just told us to go on through. Red Seven gives you parking validation slips though if you ask for them.

Thursday night happy hour review! Deep in the beautiful depths of the Pacific Design Center lurks a bar that’s very hard to find from the Melrose entrance. As you walk the expansive quiet marble hall, you might find yourself feeling like you’re on the way to meet the Wizard in the merry old land of Oz. But instead of a scary old man that gives you what you had all along, what awaits you is a modern Wolfgang Puck bar-restaurant with some pretty good, albeit somewhat limited, deals on Thursday nights. Normally open only for lunch, RedSeven has been offering a Happy Hour on Thursday nights for a little while now. Wines by the glass and Budweiser and Amstel Lights go for $ 3 while fun drinks — the Blush Martini(Bossa Nova Red Peach and Vodka), Vanilla Rum & Coke, and Macho Mango(Bossa Nova Mango and Tequila) — are $ 4. Happy hour bites range from $ 2 – 4 and are comprised of edamame, garlic fries, Baby Back Ribs, Chicken Crisp w/Peanut-Butter Miso, and the Half-Spicy Tuna Roll. As I’m finding my vegetarian path, I’ve become somewhat of a happy hour french fry and edamame connoisseur. Those items here were standardly tasty. I also enjoyed the Blush Martini, which tasted like the juice in canned peaches with a touch of liquor. My pals enjoyed the Baby Back Ribs just fine. The bar was pretty quiet; it’s nice and spacious so groups were rather far apart, which can be either good or bad depending on the kind of experience you’re looking for. However, the service was phenomenal, which was welcome after it took us 45 minutes to not receive our crab-cakes at an uncharacteristically unhappy Belmont Happy Hour. At RedSeven, we made friends with two servers and a bartender, even doing a round of tequila shots with them. I luckily dodged this with the Designated Driver card! So while quietude and somewhat limited choices reign, we’d definitely consider this spot for a Thursday after-work group gathering(lord knows there’s space!) or just a nice grown-up place to chill out and have a cocktail and some damn French fries and edamame!

I thought someone should update these reviews since Red Seven has recently reopened with tons of new stuff, new hours, and an awesome Thursday happy hour! I don’t work at the PDC, i just came here especially for Red Seven when a friend told me about their amazing new happy hour on Thursdays from 5−8p. They’ve got: beer & wine for $ 3, martinis/cocktails $ 4, and 2 for 1 patron shots edamame for $ 2 garlic fries for $ 2 bbq baby back ribs for $ 4 spicy tuna rolls for $ 4 and it’s all SO good. the environment was really friendly, not crowded at all, and while service was a little slow, it was friendly, and totally worth it for the prices. they had a football game on the big screens, and everyone just chilled and had a great time. it was comfortable enough to mill around and talk to other people, more cocktail party than restaurant atmosphere. Very casual, but with great food. This might be one of the best deals in the city! I got drunk and full for under $ 20! Will definitely be back. (and they validate parking, just ask)

Asian fusion — either it can be a surprisingly tasty concoction or it can be an inedible failure. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. Today it was alright. It’s hard to find this place if you don’t know about it already. It’s behind all the construction their doing to add a red building to the Pacific Design Center. I’ll tell you it’s in the green building though, in case you like gambling with how your food tastes.

Food — 5 stars Service — 1 star It’s a shame that the service killed the experience because we were so impressed with everything else. Entrance — very high design — a long corridor that opens into the bright and clean looking bar area. Bar — Elegant display & nicely arranged. Clean and bright(it was lunch –time, I’m sure at night the look could be dramatic and dark) Dining Room — just beyond the bar — with a great picture window… unfortch there’s construction going on outside at the moment — but it’s impressive nevertheless — I’m sure once it’s all set up, it will look lovely. We came for Restaurant week — and specifically chose Red|Seven because of the menu offered. It was adventurous and it sounded special — and the food was spectacular… except: Appetizers — I had the lettuce cups, and my friend had the Hamachi. The flavors were great… And even though they offer chopsticks, we really had to use the fork & knife instead… not usually an issue, right? when we finished, we placed our forks & knives parallel and off to the side — done — they can take the plates, right? Our server put our knives back on the placemats in front of us to re-use with the entrée… our knives were COVEREDINSAUCE… i mean ewww, right? He really wanted us to re-use these knives covered in the previous course’s flavors? The entrees come out — I had the Miso Butterfish, Joan had the Salmon(both excellent, by the way — but i’m ranting about the service right now). NOONECAMETOASKHOWANYTHINGWAS!!! Joan found a hair in her food — whatever — she could deal with it… but we really wanted to swap out our knives. Crickets. Oh well — we go ahead since there’s no one to flag down anyways… The food truly was amazing. very flavorful, a little bit of spiciness, a little bit of sweet — all delicious… i’d have loved to give this place 5 stars… but service can make or break an experience. When we were done, the plates were carried away by the bus boy — again, no one asked how we enjoyed our meal. Nothing… Do they just not care? Desserts: Joan loved her Almond Roca Samosas — but i had to get plain fruit since all their desserts had dairy. at least they gave me berries. Bill: We gave 2 cards to split the bill — no biggie, right? The meal was $ 22 each plus tax — comes to $ 47& change… Each of our credit card slips reads $ 18.75. Were they giving us a discount b/c the service was that bad? Not really — our server was truly that much of a numbskull! The Maitre’d passed by and saw our perplexed looks — he was very gracious when he greeted us upon entering — and again he was very nice… But do we need to point out the incompetence of the service? We could have just written in the gratuity amount based on each of our shares, close the books and left — but that would have been wrong… and we’re not the type to do the dishonest thing… So we just plainly showed the maitre’d the bill & our credit card transactions — he was bright — he can do the math… he called the server over… yeah — the lights were on but no one was home… he didn’t even recognize or acknowledge that there was any mistake… At this point, we had no more patience — I said i had to go already so the Maitre’d said he’d fix it afterwards… Joan & I said we’d figure it out — just crossed out the amount and put a flat $ 26 each in the total sections… basing the tip on what should have been the estimated total… i was over it… not a great tip amount… but whatever. I get my revenge on Unilocal

Bravo Wolfgang! Great new spot! Just like some of the women in LA … this place is uuber trendy and easy on the eyes. Came for the opening party when I was in town and even got a little kiss on the cheek from Wolfgang himself. *smirk* Loved that his staff thought of everything. There was even a little cookie box in the car when I picked it up from the Valet. What can I say… if the food that came out of the kitchen tasted half as good as it looked then West Hollywood is in for a real treat! Rumored to be open only for lunch this cool little chic spot in the Pacific Design Center could just be the next hit. Plenty of parking and plenty of options for drinks in the afternoon. How could you go wrong? Okay… so time will tell if they have stay power… let’s see if they can earn that extra 5th Unilocal star sometime soon. Kudos for a great opening party and a job well done and thanks for the kiss on the cheek! Date Rating: 8 Pick up Scale: 5 Strong Suggestions: If you go here post a review on Unilocal
