I love the show Vanderpump rules and have heard about the fried goat cheese balls. However, our food was cooked with the plastic from the goat cheese wrapper in it which was gross. Thankfully they replaced the food promptly and comped it so the service was great and meeting the cast was the best. Parking was $ 10 for valet and the drinks(I got hot tea because I’m preggo, $ 6 for a teabag woof) but my husband loved his cocktail. I would come back to see the cast again but not for the food.

Okay well for the cucumber margarita, the lychee martini, and our server: Cucumber Margarita is a must try it is so refreshing and delicious. Lychee Martini is good. If you like lychee. Our Server was nice and attentive and sang happy birthday to my friend which was awesome because the candle is a big sparkler. The Food: Brussel sprouts are one of my favorite side dishes wherever I go, however at Sur they were pretty bad. Still raw and kind of flavorless. Cheese balls are not great. They are deep fried like Falafel is but they were very bland. I like goat cheese and feta cheese but not in a cheeseball like that. Crab cakes are okay. They were not bad but I have had way better. I recommend going for the drinks and to feel fancy. Also, check your table to make sure it is not super wobbly like ours was I had to step on the table leg the whole time to avoid disaster. Oh and Music sucks there.

Was Vacationing with my husband in LA/Disneyland area, have been watching Vanderpump rules, actually I’m a pretty die hard fan, so I told my husband we had to go there… it was on my bucket list! So…we arrive and I’m blown away… my God the area looks so much more cleaner, and trendier then what is actually there. Yes, it looks the same… but the TV really really makes the area more desirable then where the physical restaurant is located. The décor on the inside, yes is gorgeous; exactly what you see on TV. We walk in and I see the hostess and told her we have reservations. She turns us around and we are seated out side… not in the dining room… WTF? Yes it was a nice night, but I would have loved to been inside. I wasn’t about to let this get me down. Our waiter was Alex(GORGEOUS) and he was awesome. I ordered a strawberrytini & the fried Goat Cheese Balls… my husband had a glass of red. We get the fried Goat Cheese balls and I am so excited, since my BFF Stassi(ok, not, but I can pretend) RAVESABOUTTHESE! Both me and my husband took a bite and immediately I wished I hadn’t. WTF is she talking about? THESEARENOTTODIEFOR. My husband swallowed and said«These Suck»…I couldn’t’ have agreed more. We got our salads and those were wonderful. I ordered the skirt steak, my husband ordered the salmon. I have to say my skirt steak was amazing! Full of flavor, cooked just right with potatoes and broccoli complimenting it! My husband said the salmon was very good! NOWFORDIRT!!! Of course we are all there is see Lisa, Ken, Jax, Tom, Arianna & Katie… only one that was there that night, was PETER. Now, I like Peter… I think he’s probably the most attractive one on there… Looks can be deceiving… WHAT A TRASHBAG! We meet the sweetest girl, who was from Michigan celebrating her 21st birthday, This Is all she wanted, was to go to SUR to meet the cast of the show she loved so much. We see Peter and she stands up and waives… what does this A$$hole do… just look at her; brush her off and go back into the dining room. I swear this girl looked like she was about to cry. She was with her older sister and her mom. Well this older sister wasn’t’ about to let that happen. She got up and went after him. This poor 21 year old just looks at me and says«OMG, he didn’t blow me off did he»…she had these dough eyes filling with tears… I just grabbed her hand and said«No honey, older sister is taking care of it»…SUREENOUGH, SHEDID! She brought Peter over and he took pictures with her. My husband asked if I wanted a picture and I said«Not on your fricken life do I want a picture with that Douchbag… CASTOFVANDERPUMPRULES**** The fans made you famous… WEWATCHEDTHESHOWANDGOTYOUTHERATINGS… remember where you would be without the FANS!!! Please, when someone wants your picture, do them the honor… and don’t act like your too damn important to others… YOURNOT… your human, just like me!

We went out of our way to come here because I happen to know a very well received Food Critic. One word… DELIGHTFUL. It seems everyone on social media is a critic… it would be in the best interest of everyone if no-one read any social media reviews. Though I can see the majority of you know nothing of food and flavors, and how a certain type of cooking you may not understand or agree with. Because it is very clear most of you do not. And if you feel compelled to write a review… write a review regarding McDonalds or Papa Jons or lets say Dominos or some kind of Chicken drive through, because it seems this is where the majority of you have developed your flavors from… and don’t forget to add the salt and sugar!!! And above all do not forget to mention the waitress forgetting your liquor or how long you waited at a busy eatery. Ridiculous and a total waste of the internet!!! PS i read a so called food reviewer on social media not too long ago, stating the pizza she ate with pepperoni was greasy… LOL, that’s because… it’s REAL pepperoni, not GMO its natural juices release when cooked… the GMO’s your all use too is dried, fake, and toxic, and this to you is acceptable. Meh meh meh is all I can say about my dining experience at SUR. I expected so much more from this LVP and her restaurants. Granted, I did go over Pride weekend but honestly it wasn’t even that busy. Service– Hostess seated us and was nice enough. Server arrives we order drinks and lets start out with the Goat Cheese Balls. Drinks arrive and food comes right after it… our menus haven’t even been picked up as we haven’t ordered mains yet. We have been here a total of 15 min. Order mains and they arrive in lightning speed. Very rushed dinner with no intimate or welcoming feel. Food: Fried Goat Cheese Balls– Meh, not very special. Over seasoned. Filet Mingon– How do you mess up a Filet… over salt it! Scallops– Also over seasoned and way too salty! Overall, I question the quality of meat and seafood when I find it over seasoned. It seemed like everything is mass produced with little to no attention to detail of their food. Advice to LVP… focus more on food and less on the reality tv shows.

The dining experience was fun, I enjoyed myself. Lisa Vanderpump is a stickler for details, the décor is beautiful, fresh flower bouquet and rose petals on each table, awesome vibe. The food was good as well, goat cheese balls were good but that meatloaf

Positives: Saturday night. Very crowded. Tourist spot for sure. Lots of people driving by taking pictures. My Salmon was amazing. Max was so sweet and very accommodating. Can’t ask for more. Negatives: bathrooms need some attention.

A more upbeat younger ambience than Villa Blanca yet still stunning. The goat cheese ball app not as good as Stassi raves about IMO. Service was extremely attentive and overlooked lamb and veal were comped with gratis cocktails. Amazing virgin drinks as well. Our«private room» for a grad celebratory party of eight was perfect. Off to after dinner drinks, four minute walk away completed the evening. Highly recommend all three Vanderpump venues!

This place seemed bigger on TV… I imagined Jax would be at the bar shaking up a martini… I thought Sheena would be there to walk us to our table… I envisioned Lisa in the back yelling at someone to get back to work or shining a glass… And I hoped Tequilla Katie would be there to serve me my Fried Goat Cheese balls… Sadly — none of this happened — but for sure the Food met my expectations in every possible way! Picks for the night: Drinks — Pineapple Mojito Appetizers — Goat Cheese Balls & the Dumpling thing with the black sesame seeds(see photo) Main — Ribeye steak with the mashed potatoes and green beans Definitley would come back on my next visit!

The décor was gorgeous! Exactly like the show Vanderpump Rules and as a fan that is why I went there for my bday with my husband. We only went to the lounge around 11pm, the restaurant was already closing. It is a super trendy and cute place and I loved the lilies everywhere. Plenty of places to sit as well. The problem was it was cochella weekend so the usual staff from the show and clientele were not there. The crowd was old men 40s to 50s hitting or creeping on a bunch of young girls who were fans of the show. It was awkward as hell. But the music was 90s hip hop and pop so that was fun. The back of the lounge smelled disgusting like recent vomit, a lot of it, and it seeped into the main lounge area, so we didn’t stay long. The drinks were delish(strawberry martini was yum) but super weak and hella expensive! The service was good at the bar. No long waits other than people asking for pics w the staff who were obliged and friendly. Basically it was a fun trip to see where the show is shot, but If I do come back it would be to try dinner and hopefully on a day w the regular staff. But that would be a one time deal as well.

I am writing as someone who has never seen an episode of Vanderpump Rules, but joined a couple of friends who picked Sur solely because they have seen every episode. So I had no idea who anyone was in terms of employees featured on the show or had any expectations whatsoever. Moving on, we had no reservations on Saturday night but we got a table for 4 without waiting! We got seated around 6pm but just had to leave before 8:30pm since the table was reserved, which seemed like plenty of time. Service was very nice and accommodating even though we had a time constraint, our server was friendly and able to help us decide what to order. On to the food, we ordered fried goat cheese balls and calamari for appetizers. The calamari was very lightly coated, and most of the breading was actually off when it got to our table. To me, the fried crunchiness is the best part of calamari. The fried goat cheese balls would be great with a salad, because the flavor of the cheese was very sharp, you just have to pair it with something light & crisp. These were much more enjoyable than the calamari. It comes in an order of 3, but our server let us add 1 extra since there were 4 of us. I got the Belgian Salad as my main because I was going for a light meal. The salad was definitely very light but I enjoyed the candied nuts and dressing on it. My friend got a chopped salad which was definitely more loaded than mine. I also sampled the risotto courtesy of my other friend which tasted good. I would have to say, the best part of my meal was the pomegranate martini. They made this extra strong but I am not complaining. It was kind of sweet which balanced it out, but I ended up ordering another one. To sum everything up, I get why people go here. Flashy décor, trendy ambience, oh and it has it’s own show. But I feel like it’s more of an entertainment experience rather than a dining experience. I would just come for drinks.

I admit, I stopped by here because I saw it on tv. Upon reading the Unilocal reviews, my expectations were low but I enjoyed it! I came in with some time to kill between The Grove and dinner. I was totally underdressed so I didn’t expect much in the way of service(based off the reviews). However, the hostess and bartender were very professional and friendly, checking on me several times. Off the happy hour menu, I had: –Strawberry gimlet: yum, fruity and strong. –Sangria: ummm see above –Fries: came quickly, with two sauces and yummy The whole space smells like fresh flowers. The décor is beautiful and very LA. It’s a fun spot– I’d totally come back for another happy hour!

Eh. My mother is a huge fan of the show so we took her here for Mother’s Day. It’s amazing what lighting and cameras can do! The whole place looked worn and not in a «shabby chic» way. Pros– My mom got to meet Peter the manager on the show and he actually works. Very nice dude who was gracious to stop for photos and talk to most tables in our room. The LVP sangrias were amazing. Cons– We made a reservation and arrived on time. Upon check in the hostess said«Want to grab a happy hour drink? Just swing by when you’re ready». We get a text saying the table is ready so I went back to the hostess stand and told a different hostess we got the text. She said the other girl would seat us. We wait and get ignored. Then I go to the original girl and ask about the table«we texted you 15 min ago». It had been maybe 10(the time it took to get up the bar, place the order and have our drinks made). The food is nothing special. I’m vegetarian and there is one vegetarian option-risotto on the menu. We ended up getting salads and appetizers. Basically very over hyped because of the show. Save yourself the time and money and visit Pump down the street. It’s gorgeous, the staff is friendlier and the food looked better.

So… this place is heinous. I love Vanderpump Rules — go to the bar, have an overpriced drink, have one of the moderately handsome bartenders with an overinflated ego ignore you for a while before he accepts your order and go down the street to eat some place good. The food here is abhorrent, just ridiculously bad. I don’t understand how it is so bad — I feel my 8 year old makes better entrees. The goat balls were cold, the tables next to ours were laughing with us at how horrible the food and service was. Go for the experience, eat elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a REALLY trendy VERY Hollywood experience — look no further. First things first, yes this is the restaurant that is the center of the drama in the Bravo show Vanderpump Rules. Owned and managed by the fabulous Lisa Vanderpump(seen on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), this place is just as glamorous and she is. But don’t let the fact that it’s on a reality TV show deter you. The food, drinks, and service here are all superb! The reality show is what first attracted me to this place, but the delicious food and cozy atmosphere kept me coming back for more. For those of you looking to get a glimpse of the cast: I’ve always been lucky enough to see at least one or two of them working when I stop in, but they work there less and less these days. I would suggest checking their Snapchats/Twitters if you want to see if they’ll be in — they normally let the public know if they’re working that night. Now for the important stuff. Parking: there is a garage down the side street running along the left side of the building, it’s pretty cheap and never too over crowded so it’s a safe bet. There’s street parking as well. There are two entrances to Sur — Sur Lounge is the first entrance on your left, and that’s more for drinks and music. Sur Restaurant is the second entrance and where you will want to go if you have a reservation. Speaking of which, GETONE! This places is fully booked almost every night, so try to plan a little in advance if you want to for sure have a spot. If they’re fully booked they don’t accept walk-ins most of the time. After being greeted and seated by someone that looks like they hopped off the cover of Maxim or GQ, it’s time to get some grub. The atmosphere is very dim, perfect for a date night. Everything is candlelit. Tables vary — there are normal tables and also very plushy almost couch-like booths. There are multiple dining room areas and I think I’ve sat in them all at this point. Recommendations: The goat cheese balls. They’re very good if you like that sort of thing, but don’t expect a lot. I believe three small balls came out when I ordered them. I also would recommend the Chicken Alfredo, I normally ask for it with angel hair pasta and it is delicious. Pasta portions are pretty big here so that’s a plus. I know other people I’ve eaten with have gotten the pork chop and the steak and loved it. This past time I got the Belgian Salad and wow was it good, It was small, but delicious and the presentation was really nice. They also have a very extensive drink menu. I normally order some sort of wine. The servers are knowledgable and good and helping you pick one. The sangria is also very good, and it’s Lisa’s own creation. If you’re looking for a cocktail, I recommend the Strawberrytini. Overall I really recommend this place if you’re entertaining people from out of town and want to show them the epitome of Hollywood night spots, or if you’re feeling that vibe yourself!

I came in on a Tuesday, even though it says they’re booked online, the moment they opened and I called, they were able to fit me in for dinner. Man the ambiance is gorgeous. I came in at their happy hour time and got a strawberry cocktail, it was yummy! And the bartender was yummy to look at also! But seriously this place is gorgeous. I ordered their infamous goat cheese balls. And I didn’t think they were that good. I also ordered the ravioli and it wasn’t good either. 4 stars for the service and the décor.

Awesome place for cocktails! I had 3! A lemon drop with muddled cucumber, a Pineapple Mojito and a Metropolitan. It was happy hour when I walked in 5 – 7 pm Tuesday– Sunday I believe and they were only $ 7. The Pineapple Mojito was regularly priced however and I ordered that at my table. Customer Service was an overall 5 stars from me. Everyone was attentive from our hostesses, the bartender to our waitress. Everyone was gracious. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf which was really good but it was a little too thin for my taste. I’d def order it again though. The ambiance was pretty sexy though, felt like I was on a Virgin America flight. I’d go back again and try the lemon chicken that was on the menu.

I’ll admit it — I went to Sur because I’m obsessed with Vanderpump rules. And I am not ashamed whatsoever to say that. I made a reservation for two. As a note — open table always listed the place as full, but I was able to call and get a 7:15 on a Friday with no problem. We got sat on the front patio area, which was nice so I could see people entering and exiting. Upon entrance I saw several members of the cast. They had just filmed the reunion show that evening(thanks Andy Cohen’s Instagram). So it was pretty neat to see that. But to the food! I got the rosè sangria and oh my goodness — I wanted a whole bottle. So very good. My friend ordered the champagne Mojito. Let’s just say — you get your money’s worth of booze in that one! We started with the fried goat cheese. Yes they only come with three but they are so good it’s worth it! we split the crab and lobster ravioli and the crispy chicken. The chicken was heavenly. So good. As it is fried baked and grilled. So juicy and amazing flavor. The green bean side was also delicious. The raviolis came with an amazing vodka sauce. One I hadn’t enjoyed in a long time. We opted out of dessert as we were going out for more drinks but the menu looks fabulous. We had a great server(Monica!) and awesome server assistants(one of whom was Max). Be warned the entrance is a curtain and can be easily passed if not Paying attending. The décor of the restaurant is top notch.

4.5/ 5.0 Very cool trendy vibe, dim lighting, alluring ambience infused with everything you believe LA is! I would absolutely come back. Drinks here are amazing 5⁄5 — Raspberry mojito — Margarita Service — great 4.7÷5! Things come out slow and it’s pretty busy so don’t expect to be topped off with water too frequently Food: — Fried goat cheese: creamy, herby, crunchy on the outside and filled with love. Taste more like cream cheese than goat cheese! I missed the pungent goat cheesiness — 3 balls per plate Crab cakes: fried and delicious! Extremely tasty and the mayo sauce it comes with is so delicious Scallops: wonderfully silky and perfectly cooked. The bed of greens was fresh and crunchy. The taste of the accompanying spices was good but not great. It missed an element of acidity! 4⁄5 Steak: wonderful but this is not a steakhouse so, hop over elsewhere Risotto– WOW cheesy creamy tasty! Amazing Jumbo shrimp fettuccine– so creamy. Perfectly Al dente! Fresh and tasty Vanilla flan– the chocolate fudge that comes with it is so divinely tasty it should be illegal! WOW the flan is creamy and silky with perfect texture That is all! Enjoy
