Excellent fillet with a great view of downtown. The sole was uninspired and we were surprised by the $ 17 salads. Classic, glamorous atmosphere with live music. Solid breakfast as well. Relaxed but friendly service.

I’m writing this email four months too late, but better late than never! Angel and Eric served my wife and I on our one-year anniversary and they went ABOVEANDBEYOND in their service. They were so thoughtful, prompt, and kind, and they actually made our night better. Thanks you two! I hope you see this! You’re both great.

great view and that is about all… We were 15min late and called to let the host know and they said no problem, but yet when we arrived already gave our table away. Also the hostess gave us eye rolls and attitude when we tried to explain we had just called. Then at the end of the night we tried to take a family pic in the entrance… Wow, it was as if we tried to assassinate someone famous. The bouncer made a huge scene and it was an embracement for the staff and comical to us.

Waste of money and time. Menu was overly simple, we were staged in a waiting area before being seated. Waited 10 – 15 min before anyone acknowledged us or even took a drink order. Was finally seated 20m later, ordered apps and main course. Food(filet and sole) were decent, but sat with empty plates and empty water glasses for approx 30 mins. I don’t mean to come across as snarky, but I had read good reviews about his place and was prepared to spend good money for the experience, but felt the service and food was very sub-par for a $ 250 meal(2 people) and would not recommend this place. Live and learn.

I recently went to the terrace for my first time with a good friend of mine. She warned me that the food was nothing special but the vibe and the service make the experience an absolute joy. As expected the food was okay, but the view was fantastic and every few minutes this man who’s name is Angel would literally float over with exactly what we wanted before we even knew we wanted it. Also couldn’t get enough of that fact this his name was actually Angel! Truth be told, he was the angel of our experience and is the only reason i would go back. Sitting there with the beautiful view, the sunshine, the gentle splash of the pool and the man Angel popping out of every corner with something new to bring to the table made the experience a very happy one. Looking forward to my next Saturday or Sunday visit for lunch, tea and a great vibe.

Do not I repeat do not go to the restaurant. I took my girlfriend for her birthday expecting a window seat well not the case and it went downhill from there. The tuna tartar was fishy so I sent that back. The dover sole was so fishy that I put lemon on it but that didn’t help. My girlfriend had ordered surf and turf but got steak so they had to fix that while my food got cold but I wasn’t eating it anyway. The butter for the lobster was like mud so we didn’t eat that wither but we did take the steak home but that wasn’t good either. Needless to say we went home hungry & sick from throwing up. Oh the best part was when they tried to make up for it by giving us stale cookies for her birthday.

We only planned on staying a day or two, and due to the amazing service and genuine helpfulness provided to us by Angel J, we extended our stay at the Tower, the entire team are truly a step above, you just can’t teach the skills your team members extend to your guests, thank you for treating us like family, we will be back. And again Angel J, Rises to the occasion, our last day was as incredible as our first thank you again for outstanding service,

Food is okay. Service is okay. Very cool vibe. We only go back because of the ambiance. The food isn’t good and the service is pretty sucky too

I’m going to give it 2 stars because it is a beautiful, historic place. My wife and I actually got up and left because after we were seated, we were basically ignored for 10 minutes even though the terrace was pretty much empty and there were 3 or 4 waiters roaming around talking to each other, someone washing the windows and a guy cleaning the pool. 10 O’clock on a Monday AM, we decided that we weren’t sure if we wanted the buffet, we’d ask if they had an a la cart menu. We wanted coffee for sure, ASAP. After waiting and waiting and waiting, we looked at each other and said«screw this» and got up. In .1 of a second, we had a waiter at our table asking us if we wanted coffee. Not sure if we were just a couple of bumpkins from Florida getting the«Hollywood» treatment, but… um, no.

We got to Terrace at Sunset Towers after having a horrendous experience at Château Marmont. We got seated right away and our waiter Angel was amazing. He was attentive and recommended some great dishes and was very accommodating to the different dietary restrictions. Service was bar none compared to the pretentious servers at Château. This places serves up great brunch items for great prices and are very quick without an air of staunchness. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food in the sunset area with good atmosphere with fast service.

Slow and terrible service. Took 45 min for a burger without any customers here. Waiter never came back to check on the food. Waited another 20min to get the check. For spending $ 500 per night here you would expect a bit more.

Yum! This place is truly remarkable. I was blown away by the old Hollywood glamour the venue oozed. I went for a friend’s birthday and we sat outside right before sunset and enjoyed every second. Our cocktails were superb as was our service. Cute little platter of nuts, chips and olives served along with your drinks also. I can’t wait to bring back my girls! This place is fancy so don’t come unless you’re willing to drop some $$$.

My husband and I recently had Sunday brunch here and it was fun! Our waiter wasn’t quite as friendly as they always are next door in the Tower Bar and we really wanted to try the avocado toast, but they were out of avocados. Those details were minor though, as we still had a fantastic time! You can’t beat the gorgeous view of the city if you’re facing the pool. The food itself is good as well.

I absolutely love this spot. Poolside, on a rooftop, in a beautiful hotel, with a great view… what’s not to love? I stop here on occasion, in the afternoon, in a suit and tie, ready to relax. Service was impeccable as expected. As I recall we noshed on some great almonds, olives, and ?? The martinis were perfect, and that’s rare in this town. Now, I would give 5 stars if they had anything available other than a pimento stuffed olive — like a cheese stuffed olive. Cocktails are at the higher end of L.A.(wait, am I in Vegas?!) prices — like $ 16⁄17 and up. But anyway, I live down the block, and I love it, and I will be back! Cheers!

Came here for a quick lunch today while waiting for my appointment at the hotel’s spa. This was my 3rd visit(the first time when it was still The Argyle and the 2nd one about six months ago). The place is always full of Hollywood-industry types and the occasional celebrity. Pros: — very attentive service. — great, interesting crowd. — good cocktails and decent food. Cons: — can be pricey for what you get. My avocado toast was not as delicious as it looked(maybe because they used some sort of thick, heavy multi-grain bread instead of a tastier type). More than the food is the scene, especially the pool area, so I’m pretty sure I will be back.

On site restaurant and bar at The sunset tower hotel, it’s a terrace even though it’s located on the lobby floor, the patio seatings by the pool were very nice, a perfect spot for breakfast and brunch or lunch. We had a quick breakfast /lunch there before our spa, brought our own Moet Rose champagne, the corkage was a whopping $ 35! We were really surprised, this is not Vegas or a 5 star hotel, so be careful not to bring your own wines! On to the food, hubby had continental breakfast buffet, he picked some fresh berries and melons, smoked salmon and breakfast pastry, also omelette with ham and veggies. The food was very fresh and delicious. But they charge $ 30 per person, plus $ 5 more for omelette?! That’s $ 35 for limited choices of continental breakfast? And there was NO bacon?! Wow! That was A LOT! Way to go this restaurant! I had crab salad with arugula greens, it was $ 26, a little overpriced but still acceptable I guess. There was a very generous amount of crab in there, the arugula greens were very fresh. And the salad dressing was bomb, so flavorful and delicious! I actually loved this salad. So basically we had a way overpriced breakfast /lunch, usually I don’t list the prices of restaurants anymore, but I just had to let people know how ridiculously expensive this restaurant is for what they serve! Especially the continental breakfast buffet, DONOT get that! We might be back for some drinks, but not the food, it’s just not worth it. But the service was very nice, friendly and attentive. And the atmosphere was very relaxing and chill by the pool, I think it’s a great spot to have drinks on summer nights. Ps. Validating is $ 9.

The view is beautiful, sure enough. The architecture and interior design are quite nice. The hotel is centrally located along the vibrant Sunset strip. Aside from these few details, this place is a complete joke. The food is awful. Terrible wine by the glass list.(Wines by the bottle are not much to brag about either. Nothing on tap. Had the avocado toast which was average to sub-par, the lobster tacos were horrid(setting aside the fact that they were ridiculously over priced at $ 28, I would at least expect them to taste bad, but not all together horrid, that’s unthinkable). Tortilla was stale, lobster extremely tough. They weren’t even properly placed on the plate. I had to roll them over slowly to keep everything from falling out. We then moved to lounge by the pool. Waited about 40 minutes before I finally got up to order something from the bar. They couldn’t accommodate my drink order, so i ask for a cocktail menu. Server finally brings it over 20 minutes later. Then after another 30 minutes I go to the bar again to order directly since no waiter is anywhere to be seen. It’s another 15 minutes before our drinks arrive. Bartender did offer me a glass of rose on the house, which I declined.(How about giving me one of the drinks I ordered on the house?) A redeeming factor is that there are 3 or 4 people on staff that are incredibly helpful, present and truly attempt to make you enjoy your experience here. Unfortunately, that’s just not good enough for a hotel of this size and location.(I can actually hear another couple complaining about the service here as I’m writing this.)

We had dinner here last weekend with a good friend, and had the good fortune to be seated in Bobbi’s section. Service was impeccable, ambiance was tops, food was perfect. I had the scallops, and I cannot stop thinking about them, they were so good. We started with the pigs in a blanket and that was fun and yummy… and we had the calamari, also very good. I had two perfect Ciroc martinis. We will be back and soon. Loved the quiet ambiance.

Love this restaurant!!! Service was great, view was beautiful and food was oh so good!!! Yummy calamari and all the entrees were perfect. The Alaskan halibut could have used a little more salt, but it tasted like butter in my mouth– probably one of the best I’ve had. Also tried a bite of the filet mignon and that was amazing as well. Have to order the sides with the entrees. Next time will have to try the mac and cheese truffle. Dessert was so good– usually we get one to share, but everyone ordered their own plate and finished it. Need I say more? Don’t miss complimentary breakfast– freshly made omelettes to your choice in front of your face; and they will bring it to your table. Fresh pastries, juices and fruit. Can’t wait to come back, pig out and star gaze. And I don’t mean the ones in the sky. :)

Wow wow wow! I haven’t been this impressed since … ever! Angel made this experience unforgettable! He took the best care of us. The food, the service and the view… simply at a loss for words. I was here for a business lunch and am amazed I waited this long to come. The atmosphere is laid back and you’re overlooking the LA skyline. Jeff Klein knows what he’s doing running the show here! We ordered avocado toast with a secret ingredient(insert lobster here), lobster tacos and quinoa salad with shrimp. Everything tasted phenomenal. My jasmine tea and tequila drink were delicious as well. I stayed behind after my lunch just to soak in the amazing vibes. The word on the street is that dinner reservations are hard to come by and Hollywood royalty is known to frequent the place.
