Our burgers were over cooked, dry, and tasteless. But this is the reason why I will never step foot in there ever again. We asked to be moved to the other side of the diner because of a screaming baby. So, we were. But only to be seated next to a mother with 2 children 3&4 years old. The two girls did nothing but scream, yell, run, jump, stand on the bench, and sit on the ledge in front of the window with their feet on the table. When my boyfriend had had enough as we couldn’t even hear one another he had asked the mother to please quiet her children. She asked if he was«kidding»? This led into an argument where SHE cursed at us In front of her children TWICE. The male host who seated us said we had to move and was calling the police and accused my boyfriend of cursing at her. Thankfully two other customers went to the«host» in our defense that it was her who cursed and not him. That her children have been behaving exactly how I described and that everyone had been disturbed and not able to enjoy their meals because of her misbehaved children. If this diner takes the side of a «mother» who doesn’t teach her kids manners and allows them to behave like that in a restaurant then she should take them to Chucky cheese!

I went there with our family, four of us. Our waitress couldn’t be bothered. We ordered and waited and waited. She chose to talk with her fellow wait staff. We ordered dinners, we got no bread, no Cole Slaw and pickle, nothing. THEN when our food did arrive she almost threw it down on the table. My 17 year old daughter asked out loud, did we do something wrong? We didn’t see her again, we needed some sauces, some refills and had to ask another waiter for these things. This is not the way to treat PAYING customers. Sad too because the food is quite good, big portions, well cooked. You should really give your wait staff some pointers on how to treat people who YOU are serving. Good fries, good onion soup, the sandwich my son ate was great… just a waitress who thought we were there to wreck her night. ANDYES I still tipped her accordingly, in other words she got a tip that she didn’t deserve, but everyone has a bad day now and then. Carmine!

This place is the worst. A group of nurses and myself order from here at night and also have gone for sit down for breakfast. About eight of us went for pancakes and waffles and were SSHHHED by the manager, had to beg for hot coffee, the service was slow and they clearly tried to neglect us into leaving. On another occasion we ordered pick up and the waitress forgot a sandwich– called to see if we could pick one up and she scolded me telling me I never ordered it– even though the sweet potato fries we ordered with it did come. I asked to speak to the manager who handed me back to the waitress who then said the kitchen was closed. These ppl are the rudest most unprofessional food service ppl I’ve ever dealt with and though they insisted we didn’t pay for it we got no change and they didn’t give a receipt.

This place has really gone downhill. I used to frequent the Atlantis diner on a weekly basis with my family, but over the past few months the quality of food has really gone down. The portion sizes have also decreased almost by half and the customer service is much worse than it used to be. I no longer recommend the diner

I want to give this diner a good review, but there are some problems. Overall, the food is really good, I’ve never ordered something that I didn’t like. However, portion size varies and there is sometimes a long wait for food. One night my sister and I ordered food, then split a milkshake. Delicious! And being pregnant I wanted another the next day. So I decided to order one to go on my way to work. It was the exact same size as the one I split with my sister the night before. So now I paid $ 5.50 for half a shake. Disappointing. I would probably have been back again if it weren’t for that which is a shame cause I really enjoyed it

I’ve had better… :(:(it is a Long Island Diner, nothing special… I think the city has way better ones, with a better and fresher selection…

Atlantis is a cute diner. It is probably the prettiest diner I have been to. The food was decent. My ham, cheese, and egg wrap was good along with my home fries. I’m not crazy about diners but I think I will come back to this one. Staff was very nice. Prices are very good as well.

If you want to be seated immediately and then proceed to wait 15 plus minutes while feeling as though you are being ignored then this is the place for you! They were not busy at all, waiters and waitresses were casually standing around chatting. We finally asked the busboy to find us a waitress. She came over and apologized said no one told her this was her section. Really? Very rude and the food was just ok. Won’t be going back.

This is definitely NOT one of the better diners on the island. We came for breakfast and we waited over 10 mins before the waiter came and introduced himself. Service continued to be slow and absent throughout our meal. They got my order wrong twice and all I ordered was an egg white western omelette with french fries. Not too complicated. Food tastes okay. But not worth the wait.

Absolutely love this place, from the food to the service that Steff and Harry provide. Steff pretty much knows my order by heart now so I don’t even have to say it. how great is that! They make THE best omlettes, potato salad and black and white shakes. Always super clean as well.

Everything you expect a diner to be but cleaner! Haha. It was remodeled about 5 or so years ago and it’s even better now. Spacious modern interior but still classic diner feel. Large menu with all your favorite diner staples. A favorite of mine is their French onion soup, it has an onion ring melted into the top of the cheese! Fair prices and friendly staff. By far my go to diner.

This is my go to diner spot in Babylon. I go there once or twice a month for breakfast. Diner coffee can be hot or miss but this place has consistently good coffee. I usually get poached eggs or a burger with an egg. Always tasty and fresh.

The food was good. The spinach pie was very nice and my husband had the chicken gyro which he enjoyed. The kids ate everything(grilled cheese and Mac and cheese) except the fries. Fries were a touch undercooked. The Mac in cheese is the boxed kind. Not homemade. Good place for families with kids. I would go back again.

Love to come here for breakfast or brunch! Portions aren’t exaggerated so I don’t end up overeating. Their home fries are sooooo yummy! And their pancakes are always fluffy and delicious. There is a lot of space for big and small parties alike. I always have a good experience. Thumbs up! Highly recommended.

Wonderful service, and really good food! I ordered the Mediterranean salad – very tasty and well cooked chicken. Our waitress was the best though. She was extremely energetic and had a great personality. It felt like an authentic diner experience, and she was fairly patient. The rest of my family ordered burgers which looked decent. I would go back for the service moreso than the food, but both were good.

Enjoyed sizzling salmon platter and beer, good. Another had fried fish, just okay. Two others at the table and just okay with their meals. It was a convenient place to eat and overall okay. We did have good service.

As usual I take my wife to an early mothers day dinner, just to avoid the rush in the restaurants on Sunday. This would be my first time at Atlantis Diner I wanted to try a new location. First of all our waitress needed a lot more training, she did not suggest or upsell anything. Halfway trough the appetizer came the salad, before I took a bite at my cucumber the main course was served. I should concentrate on the meal, we ordered chicken quesadillas, a shrimp dish that my wife said it was very good and for me the salmon stuffed with spinach and crab meat topped with vodka sauce. Chicken quesadilla, the worse quesadilla I ever seen. This appetizer was serve on a bed of greens(wet) with some shredded cheese sprinkled over it. There were very little cheese and chicken but tons of cooked onions. We hate two pieces and set it aside Lastly my stuffed salmon, this entrée was covered with the sauce, first thing came to mind why is the chef smothered the salmon with vodka sauce(seemsshe like he was hiding something. The star of the dish should be the salmon not the sauce, needless to say I hate half my entrée and ask for the check. As I went to pay the cashier she ask me(how was your meal?) I responded TERRIBLE. ONIONHASNOBUSSINESSIN A QUESADILLA. There were another gentlemen next to her and replied THISISHOWWEMAKEITANDISONEOFOURBESTSELLER So I said I could understand a little onions for a twist but it was so much. I paid the check and made sure I add the 20% gratuity for the not so good waitress.
I was an hour early for a doctor appointment next store and starved so I decided to go in with my husband for a quick breakfast. I used to come here when I was growing up, with my family because our house wasn’t to far away. I noticed they redid the place(diner style gaudy of course) but very nice. It was clean and bright and I always liked the view from in here for some reason. They had a nice ginger tea and it renewed me because I was feeling a little nausea yesterday when I arrived. They have a nice, concise breakfast menu and the prices are very reasonable for a diner. The food was good– I got eggs over easy, rye toast and bacon. All was good. It did take a good 20 minutes to come out and being that we were one of three tables filled I thought that was a bit lengthy but it wasn’t horrible we were talking so it was ok. Overall its a nice stop for a diner breakfast and I enjoyed it and felt way better after I left.

Time: Saturday. 10:30pm. Location: Babylon Village. Situation: Steph is Hungry. Everything was starting to close and/or the bar crowd was encroaching on all the sensible places to eat. After spending half the night at a café I just needed something ANYTHING that wasn’t either cake or coffee to put in my mouth. I remembered Atlantis was only a few minutes away. Since they’ve redone this diner it looks so shiny — like a casino! I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s a gamble eating there, but at the very least it was an adventure. I bit down and found a surprise in my turkey burger. It was almost like finding a surprise in a cracker jack but clearly not as fun. Ouch — part of a zip tie, presumably used to hold something together in kitchen. They claimed it was a piece of cartilage but pssh, working in IT, I’ve used enough zip ties in my life to know when I’ve chewed on one. Our waitress(Kimberly, I think? I kept calling her the pink power ranger because she was charismatic with foodie super powers), was ridiculously sweet and apologetic. She had no problems bringing a completely different dish out. I wanted some simple protein and some scrambled eggs did the trick. Light, fluffy not a tad bit greasy. Alright, that hit the spot. After they fixed their mistake all was well. Staff was extremely courteous.
