Small bagels with «veggie cream cheese» that had carrots and a little bit of peppers. The cream cheese was terrible. My friend got the strawberry cream cheese and said it «tasted like pink» and very fake. The crumb cake was not flavorful. Charged me $ 6 for an everything bagel and a hot tea when down the block it would be way cheaper. Would not recommend.

I work nearby and stopped in once late morning. When I asked for a toasted bagel the lady in the front was rude and refused. I left without a purchase. I went in today because it’s on my way to work and asked for a sausage, egg and cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel and was told they don’t cook eggs. What breakfast place doesn’t serve eggs? Probably never going back

Excellent Bagels… cheap owner.
Bagel prices keep rising… and rising… I had been going there over 20 years… and got tired of her «small» price increases… so I switched and bagels are just as good at the new place!

When I’m in West Islip, we eat bagels from Higbie bagels most mornings. My family has been in West Islip for generations and everyone agrees, this is the place. As other people have mentioned, this isn’t the place for anything fancy but if you’re looking for great NY bagels, this is the place.

I live in the area. I happened to stop by here one day on the way to work the bagel was so delicious. I orderd a coffee and never had any better tasting coffee that was served here. Please dont hesitate to try this you wont be sorry. I certainly made my day. Im going back to get bagels for the whole office to enjoy!

Higbie Bagels makes the best bagels on Long Island. They’ve been in the same location for as long as I remember. And every weekend morning, there is always a long line out the door. Luckily, the line moves relatively fast. I just wish they had a grill, so I could get an egg-​sandwich on one of their bagels. Oh, and the coffee is very good too!

The bagels are as good as you will find anywhere, NYC included. Coming from an experienced bagel eater. The bagels here are the only reason to even be in West Islip.

AMAZING bagels! Don’t be fooled if there’s line it moves quickly and is worth the wait. The bagels are incredible, been going here for years and have never had a bad bagel. No sandwiches, cash only and just straight up great bagels. Good coffee too. Definitely the place to go in WI.

These bagels are crispy and chewy and absolutely perfect. Do not confuse this with the other 2 bagel shops in West Islip, this is on Higbie Lane, but one bite and you’ll think you’re in Brooklyn! Many varieties all so good it’s impossible to make a bad choice, but the «everything» with butter, or the «cinnamon raisin» with cream cheese will keep you coming back often. It’s takeout only and there’s a line in the morning, but they’re always fresh and warm and so worth the wait.
