Got a carry out at the Panda Express on northwestern. Have to confess, I’m not a panda express person but it was really convenient. The food was what you’d expect, the restaurant is very clean and the staff was friendly. The price is reasonable for the amount of food that you get. The portion sizes for carry out are a bit smaller than the regular sized carry out box, I feel. But it’s still a good deal. The person assisting me did forget about the silverware, but luckily I was taking the food home. Also, don’t they do fortune cookies?

Ordered online. Food was fresh and hot! I ordered fried rice, mixed vegetables, and broccoli — it was all so good! I’ve been to a few Panda Express locations and this one is by far my favorite!

Been here several times due to other people wanting to eat here. The food is always crap. This last time, and will be the last time, I had someone’s hair on top of the crap. Need I say more…

Cleanliness: tables rarely clean. Speed: pretty fast, but they don’t do anything but scoop out of a bowl Friendliness of staff: they are nice, but seem to be really stressed out and overworked. Management should hire more people because the poor workers are doing the work of double their number. Food: the more I eat here, the less I want to eat here. Conclusion: meh. If you are hungry for Asian food and you happen to be in front of this panda, go ahead. Otherwise keep walking.

My tray was dirty and the white rice was under cooked. These are basic things. I don’t plan to return.

Panda express on Northwestern(the Purdue University location) is a solid and consistent choice. If you’ve eaten at any other Panda Express, you know exactly what you’re getting. The restaurant operates by cooking large quantities of a variety of dishes, and then placing them into warming bins that are view-able by the customers. This is great, because you know exactly what you are getting — they will even let you sample dishes before you order. The problem is: the longer the food sits in the steam trays, the lower the quality — and of course you have no idea how long it has been sitting there. If you dine at 4:00pm when the restaurant isn’t busy, you may be eating chicken that was prepared several hours prior. who knows? That being said, the food is usually good. The ingredients are fresh, and the price is reasonable. Plus of course it is fast!

Cannot say that I’ve ever been impressed with my experience here. The staff are perfectly friendly and the environment is fine, but the food has always been too expensive for what I got. I always noticed a blandness to the food and a sort of Americanized taste to most things.

Coming to this Panda Express was my first experience at one of these restaurants. I was a little confused on how it operated at first, but with the help of one of the employees, I succeeded in getting my food. It was a reasonable price for the amount of food that I received. It definitely took my hunger away. For some people, the size of the meal might turn into leftovers. I ordered the fried rice, broccoli and beef, and the General Tso’s chicken, which was all very good. I got a large peach iced tea to drink, which is the first time I’ve had that as well. As I said before, I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the food and the service. The inside of the restaurant was extremely nice and clean. It is also in a perfect location in Chauncey Village for both residents and people wandering through the village.
