My partner and I had dinner during the happy hour, beginning of the dinner rush. The atmosphere is nice. We sat in the patio area, which is enclosed and heated, a bit too much with all the tables full. We had a cocktail that was good, antipasti, seafood chowder, and a pasta dinner entrée. The food was decent, though a bit too much oil. The chowder was excellent and highlight of the meal. We were told half way through they would bring us more bread, which never happened. We had to ask twice for the dessert menu and wait several minutes for our check after our dishes were stacked. Our server was probably sadly overworked and disorganized. There were 5 – 7 tables for the one server, which is normal I think, but there really should be 2 servers.

The food was good, but our service was terrible. We were ignored by our waiter the whole night, rarely got water refilled, waiting nearly an hour for our food and even longer for our check. I won’t be returning, as I value my time much more than their terrible service.

I’ve been here 3 times and each time had a very good meal. This restaurant is more upscale than the location in Oregon City — menu choices, ambiance, service and of course prices. Service has been warm and attentive. This meal our server, John, let us know after our appetizers that the kitchen was backed up. Since we weren’t in a rush we told him so. He checked in with us frequently and while we waited we chatted and relaxed. Mains were excellent and John comped us 3 desserts. We will be back.

One of the few sit-down, cloth-napkin places in West Linn. But just not one worth your time until it makes some changes. Food is just ok. I had the Pasta Fagioli but the dish was disorganized and lacked real flavor. Wife had linguini and clams but the quality lacked and it was drowned in butter and oil. Service is the most disappointing facet however. If you like older servers who look angry that you’ve appeared before them for a table, this is the place for you. Hostess seemed annoyed on a Monday night with the place empty that we showed up. I felt like apologizing before I remembered that I was the customer. I had a very difficult time getting waitress to refill my water glass. She showed up at the table numerous times with nothing in her hands — would benefit from some basic training. But again, I think it’s more of an attitude here. Dropped $ 90 on a dinner I wouldn’t pay $ 30 for surrounded by people who were annoyed I was there. They must think they benefit from the above-mentioned lack of elegant dining in the area… but are woefully out of touch with themselves. Wait staff is neither refined nor friendly. There are better options down the street, including«503.»

This is an addition to my previous review. The general manager responded promptly to my note in a very professional manner. So I am willing to go back and try this restaurant again. I had no problem with the food or our server – the front of the house just needed some improvement. Thank you Chery! My friend Linda and I visited the West Linn restaurant last Sunday evening. We arrived around 4:45 pm. I thought you’d like to hear about our experience. We are greeted by: Do you have a reservation? Not hello, we’re happy you are here. Wouldn’t it be more welcoming to have staff greet you and make you feel welcome? We were told we can be seated in the patio or at a high table. We said we’d prefer to be in the restaurant. A female hostess showed to a table for 4. We were seated and had water poured and flatware provided. Then a male server came to our table and said he had to move us as there was no server available for that section. We were moved to a 2-person table tightly packed between 2 other tables. About 5 minutes later we noticed they had seated a couple – man and woman– at the table we were just moved from. Hmmmm??? Seemed they had immediate service. Did the server suddenly show up or? So altho the food snd our server were good, our experience was marred by the nagging feeling that perhaps we weren’t deserving of Bugatti’s A treatment. This is a short-term view on the restaurant’s part as both my friend and I live very close to this restaurant and have come here several times with other friends(sometimes even with men!). But after this experience I feel there are far too many other restaurants with good food who genuinely make you fee as though they appreciate you and your business.

Not impressed. The food was a bit cold and underwhelming for the steep price. And is not kid friendly.

We live in the neighborhood and have eaten their for years, but our last experience was atrocious. The hostess sat us at a table in the bar. First, she states they are out of wine glasses and it might be awhile if we wanted a glass of wine, but our server will be right over to take our drink order. She then proceeded to seat two couples at the table next to us, a server was taking their drink order within a minute of seating them. The server returned with their drinks and then took their order for appetizers. My girl and I looked at each other in disbelief; multiple staff walked by our table and not even a look in our direction. The party next to us then received their appetizers. That’s when we got somebody’s attention and stated our disappointment in lack of service, she said if we wanted to order a drink we should sit at the bar. That’s when we decided to make our exit and leave. VERYDISAPPOINTED!!!

Arrived on a Saturday night with reservations. Celebrating a birthday, the evening was perfect. Nice table in the corner with booth seating. The service was attentive and spot on. Food delicious, wine perfectly paired. Compliments to the chef. The birthday girl received a complimentary dessert. Fine dining in West Linn, a small town, was a pleasant surprise. What’s not to like? Will be back.

I had a great experience here! Everything is cooked to order, and my server was knowledgeable about the menu so she was able to help me pick something delicious that could be prepared without dairy. I had the prosciutto prawn appetizer and the lemon chicken, and both were wonderful! I’d call the atmosphere«traditional.» It was very quiet and dark inside, which is fine if that’s your thing, but if I went back I’d probably want to sit on the patio. Recommended over all!

Went there for 8:00 happy hour. Decent HH food at a decent price. I’ll go back to try more of it. They don’t have any hard cider, so that was a bit of a bummer.

The 2nd time I have come and been turned away, have children and can not help but think that the same hostess does not want to seat children. Was told a table ‘would be a long time’ that does not indicate a time on if we would wait or not. Are children not welcome?

I went there for dinners 4 times… Once seated in the patio room, slow service, bugs falling from the overhead fan, into the food and onto the table, when I and my wife brought this to our servers attention, no new table and no new food :-( And the«Last» time we used our password card and were short changed 3(three) times, my wife went back in to reclaim our change! the salmon was the only good meal, one out of four isn’t bad right?

I really like Bugatti’s here in West Linn. It is a fine dining establishment unlike its sister Oregon City location which is a much more casual dining experience with lower quality ingredients. The ambiance is soft and romantic, the menu is simple and the wine selection is pretty good. My only problem is the pretentious attitudes of not only the patrons but several of the staff. I do not think that anyone should be judged by the way they look or dress so long as they pay their bill and act otherwise respectfully. They serve crusty como style bread and some very nice olive oil. Tonight we tried the Brushchetta, the Caprese Salad, the Eggplant Parmesan, the Lamb Rigatoni, the Ravioli of the day, the Tiramisu, and the Strawberry Basil Gelato. We all agreed that the Brushchetta and the Caprese Salad were very good. The Brushchetta was served with smokey charred bread and a sweet balsamic vinegar. It was tasty. The Caprese was simply presented which was welcome. I liked the Eggplant Parmesan. It was neither greasy or bitter. It was sliced thin with creamy mozzarella on top. The Lamb was very, very good. I recommend it if you are looking for a hearty winter dish. The ravioli special was sweet potato gorgonzola. For such a great flavor profile, these were disappointing. I expected a fine Italian eatery to make their ravioli in house which they do not, and for the price I do not think it is too much to ask. The dish was so-so. The Tiramisu was down right sexy. Perfect flavors, perfect texture. The Gelato was wonderful as well. This Bugatti’s has sweet treats dialed in. I will certainly go back. I have never been during happy hour but they seem to get a good response from other reviews for the HH dishes and prices. This is not the best Italian food I have ever had but I have to say it is one of the better ones in this area. If you are looking for a similar experience but a bit more casual and even better Italian food, visit Prontobella Italian Kitchen in Clackamas where everything is made in house. If you want the best go up the street to Nicoletta’s Table In Lake Oswego and treat yourself to some of the hands down best authentic Italian food.

Fast, friendly service. Flavorful olive oil /marinara served with fresh, warm bread for the table. Nice, succinct dinner menu with a variety of choices and a very competitively priced Happy Hour menu available even if you sit outside on the patio. The Happy Hour menu itself is a great value, especially the gorgonzola burger. Parking has never been an issue, as there always seems to be room either in the lot in the back or along the street. Have been twice, will definitely go back.

I had a friend buy me my birthday dinner here. I liked the simplicity of the pasta dishes. The service was a bit slow, but I later was told it was because they were down a person. There is a bar inside as well. I’d go back again. :)

Not bad. Even though they don’t honor reservations for happy hour(which is not clear on the OpenTable website), the host did everything in his power to find me a table and to keep me updated on when that might happen, since I didn’t want to sit at the bar. We got to sit in the atrium-type room which was neat, filled with all sorts of plants. The food was fine; I enjoyed the bread and oil, and the cheese ravioli and the shrimp. Happy hour prices are very, very reasonable(especially for the area), and it was nice enough; if it had been their usual prices, I wouldn’t have felt so satisfied as the food was fine but nothing to write home about. I did love their Italian soda, which I had for the first time: strawberry with cream. It was delicious! Service was very attentive. All in all, Bugatti’s was nice. Nice atmosphere, good service, including the host, and decent food for the happy hour prices.

Came in for dinner last night: the staff was friendly, most of the food was good, the tiramisu was delicious. The bruschetta to start was fantastic, I loved the big chunks of tomato and quality balsamic. For dinner, everyone who ordered a pasta dish really seemed to enjoy what they had. Nothing really blew anyone away but for the most part it was all good. My huge complaint though is that the osso buco was not edible. The beef SHOULD have been braised and slow cooked all day to the point that the meet is falling off of the bone. What we were served was a rubbery chew toy that you had to saw with a steak knife. The kitchen had to know that it is going to be sent back so I’m not sure why they served it. From what I can tell and from what I hear from others is that Bugatti’s has lost a step since the original owner sold. The standards overall just aren’t what they used to be and you get hit or miss service/food.

We arrived just after opening on a Saturday evening, because their reservations for seating seem to fill quickly. We were seated immediately, in their cozy dining room, near a window table. Our waiter seemed a bit pretentious at first, but turned out to be a very professional and helpful server. We were served warm bread and garlic dipping oil — both tasty. Insalata e Zuppe: We started out ordering a large Caesar Salad, and they kindly split the portion for us. It was all one could hope for; baby leaf romaine, parmesan, crispy croutons, and a delightfully tangy dressing. Primi: Sweetie ordered«Granchi», featuring Dungeness crab, basil, shallots, Roma tomatoes, angel hair, white wine sauce. As I recall, she asked if they could substitute the wine sauce with a Marsala cream sauce. «Of course!» was the reply. She said her dinner was very good. I opted for the«Pollo Capperi»; an 8 oz chicken breast, roasted potatoes and carrots, Fontina cheese, capers, Marsala cream sauce. Mine supper was delectable. The chicken smelled fresh and tasted delicious and tender. Along with this ample portion of fowl, the roasted potatoes and carrots and sauce made for a scrumptious meal. Fini: Okay, I don’t write Italian. But, in the end, this was a wonderful meal, well worth the price.

This is hands down the best Bugatti’s! They are a smaller restaurant with a nice little outdoor seating area, a cozy bar section and a pleasant main seating area. They a perfect for a date night or just an evening out for a delicious meal or drinks and appetizers. I’ve been here many times and have never been disappointed! The service is always friendly and they take great care of you. The drinks are perfect, the food is consistent and I love the flavors, portion sizes and freshness of the food. If you have room for dessert you’ll be happy you tried it! My personal favorites are the Gamberetti and for dessert the Canoli… Yum!
