Supercuts

I never review anything but I feel the need to post one about this SuperCuts. It’s terrible. I’m not sure how they hire their employees, but it’s certainly not based on their ability to cut hair. Simple things like a level hairline, or how high to take the neck line up seem to be beyond their ability. Losing my business.

Ashley is awesome with color! The stylists all aim to please and will work at what you want to get it right. Ashley listens, applies what you ask/​say and you will not be disappointed! SHE IS CONSISTENT WHICH IS A RARITY AND WHY I NO LONGER PAY $ 200 FOR MY HIGHLIGHTS! SHE AND MICHAEL ARE VERY GOOD AT CUTS, TOO! I have been to $ 250 a pop salons in Red Bank, West End and Eatontown and the stylists there did not make me happy. Ashley Rocks! (*I am 45 years old and her highlights/​lowlights combo is always great!)

First of all, Google shows the location to be near the WLB Community Center… it’s actually in the ShopRite plaza near former Dots store.
Anyway, I had a great experience. I came here because of other good Unilocal reviews. I spoke to both Ashley and Becky on the phone, and both were very nice. You don’t have to make an appointment, but they can take your name 30 minutes in advance. Ashley was my stylist and she was great. I didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes to go to get washed. Ashley used a nice shampoo and conditioner and gave a very pleasant scalp massage. I have very long hair and was going to cut a lot off to donate. They had the address/​donation information for a couple different donation companies. I chose Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Ashley measured the length for né, provided a hair tie and gave me the Pantene mailing address. I’ve been to a high end salon before that didn’t provide and of these things and charged me triple. She discussed length, layers, face framing and she gave me advice on how to style after the cut. She was very sweet and personable. I had a great experience and would definitely come back. $ 20 for long hair wash, cut, and style. Can’t beat it.

Not what I expected from a «discount» hair salon. I walked out with a completely new and fresh look. The stylist listened to everything I said. I’ve walked out of pretty high end parlors and NEVER looked this good. I get compliments everywhere I go, and no one believes me when I tell them. I wish I wasn’t so shy and cautious about online safety, I don’t post pictures of myself, or you could see. Everyone thinks I came out of a high end salon. I don’t want them to think that because I want to promote this great little place that does affordable haircuts.
