Gives the best portion sizes around. If you are in the area and are considering getting a burrito go here not to chiptole.

BETTER THAN CHIPOT– you know which one I mean. Or that Q-​Do — place. I found this chain long before they moved into the area. Many locations in the Central NJ area and they are worth Googling!
I LIKE THIS PLACE BETTER because they have white chicken meat, not dark chicken. Tastier. They seem to have a better selection of ingredients and meats.
Friendlier staff at every location I have been to, not just West Long Branch. The other place I feel like cattle being fed through a feeding line, very cold and impersonal— get-​em-​in-​get-​em-​out attitude.
(I’d give it 5 stars if they had Diet Coke, not Pepsi, and NOT those stupid new Freestyle machines, either. Real, old fountain Diet Coke.)

The food and service are fantastic. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often. Keep up the good job guys.

I was turned onto this place by my husband. I prefer local places as opposed to national chains. I was a fan of Chipotle. Keyword WAS. I am a bigger fan of this place. I like the freshly cooked meat. Plus there is more variety. You can get steak & shrimp or chicken & steak or chicken & shrimp & you can get A1 or sriracha. I tried the ‘Chiwawa’. It was too heavy for me, plus it was dry. I prefer the bowl or a burrito. I do think the rice could use a little more flavor to it. Plus it’s a bonus to get a free burrito when you have the frequent flyer card. The one thing I would truly like to see is instead of Styrofoam takeout container, I would like to see plastic that’s easier to recycle or reuse. The staff is friendly & makes sure your order is correct.

over priced fast food. low grade cheap ingredients. my mouth fell open after they rang up the order. 35.00 for two entrees and one side. I could have went to a real restaurant and had table service. No appeal at all… sorry I went there, I will never go again.

Ok, I will first start off by saying that when I first heard the name, Bubbakoo’s, I was thrown off… It sure doesn’t sound like a very good Mexican joint… But then… Then I ate there… And when I say OMG, I mean O… M… G… This place is SIIIIICK! The Chihuahua is the most amazing thing I have ever eaten… And the Love Chips… WOW, the Love Chips are literally to die for. The ambiance is very laid back and cool, feels like a little surf shop that serves food. Amazing food. I have yet to eat anything from there that was not exceptional. The staff is always very friendly and inviting… They make you feel like a regular even if its your first visit. Give them a try, you will not regret it.

Service is very good however the food is very bland and overpriced. The rice and beans have no flavor. They also charge 1.49 extra for guacamole.

Great burritos fresh ingredients. Same style as chipotle but only better and cheaper. I perfer there bowls lots of options.

The meat was tender and well seasoned, all the vegetables were fresh and the service was great! I’m slightly disappointed that I paid an extra dollar for the «spicy sriracha pork» and all they did was mix sriracha chili sauce with the pork. It doesn’t matter though because the big portions and quality were impressive! will DEFINITELY come back!

Bubbakoos west long branch is alway a great place to grab a quick bite for lunch. The staff is friendly and adamant on making sure you get what you want and they may even throw in a funny joke here and there. I really have no idea what some of these other reviewers are talking about when they say the food is not fresh… if you go in early enough in the day you can actually see the staff in the back kitchen prepping the ingredients for their line. And yes, the guacamole is fresh and homemade, they just put it into those bags to dispense it. Bubbakoos never fails to please.
Furthermore, it’s a build your own lunch place so the size of your meal depends on what YOU decide to put on it. If you’re disappointed at the size of your meal well you can always add a ton of cheese, corn, lettuce, jalapeños or more salsa for no extra charge.

took a little cruise in my new ride decided to stop by there for a bite to eat. I would compare this as a local chipotle or qudoba I tried the steak burrito with all the fixings it was delicious very friendly staff I might add. hope they open more in jersey but I feel its a jersey shore thing but anyways I will return

Great food and service. Steak burrito was amazing. Quesadillas and all other items we ordered were delicious. Very friendly staff capped off a great experience.

I should have learned my lesson when I ate at the Bubbakoo’s in Brick. Alas, I’m too much of a sucker for giving places a second chance, and I decided during a workday to hit here for lunch, instead of Chipotle (it was closer, I was feeling lazy).
In two words? Overpriced garbage. Just as with the other locations, Bubbakoo’s loves to express the fine art of up-​charging for everything. Want mango salsa? That’s extra. Want guacamole? Lots extra. Want some veggies on it? Extra! If you want to pay the «sticker price» for their burritos or tacos, you’re basically limited to rice, beans, and maybe some tomatoes. I had to specifically ask what they didn’t charge extra for, so I didn’t end up with a $ 15 lunch.
This would be forgivable if the quality was anything special, but it isn’t. The meats are decent, but generally lacking in flavor, especially when covered up by the fairly bland rice and/​or beans. Speaking of which, the portions meat are TINY, leaving your burrito to become a mostly bean, rice, and cheese roll-​up. Must be a decent profit margin, considering they charge a whopping $ 7.50+ for these things. Hey, at least the service was friendly, but then again so are sleazy used car salesmen before they rip you off.
When all’s said and done, I ended up with a fairly anemic burrito without much in the flavor department, which cost me close to $ 10 after tax, and that’s a fairly basic burrito — without a drink. My usual burrito bowl at Chipotle only runs me $ 7, is utterly loaded to the brim, comes with veggies and sour cream for free, and even free guacamole if you get the vegetarian bowl. I won’t be returning here, or to any further Bubbakoo’s locations. What a ripoff.

This place is a dump — I would avoid it. I realize that all of the kids love this place but I don’t know why. Was here once and that it enough. The make the standard taco menu that is built right in front of you from tins of food sitting there for hours.
I found the place to be dirty and the staff unhelpful. I will stay with Surf Taco.

After a manicure at Nail Club West Long Branch location I noticed Bubbakoo’s Burritos. Staff very friendly. Super Clean. Fresh ingredients. Love the custom taco idea. $ 2 taco Mondays. @bubbakoos BYOB
