Arrived around 1:15 pm on a Monday. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Our waitress came to our table within a minute of being seated. Very friendly and attentive! Great job Lisa! We ordered Rootbeers and sprite. They also brought out some biscuits and hush puppies, both were cooked perfectly! Our drink orders were out within a few minutes. I ordered the Missy’s Duck Bites with a side of grits and my girls shared the child’s chicken tenders with a side of MacNCheese and I ordered an extra side of corn. The duck bites were amazing, filled with yummy goodness! Although I think the price for those should be more like $ 7-$ 8 instead of $ 9.95. The grits were cooked well, but a little bland on flavor. My girls enjoyed all of their food. We enjoyed watching episodes of Duck Dynasty as well! I will definitely return! Restrooms were pretty clean as well.

We stopped here on the way through Louisiana. It’s a cute place but I expected more of the food. The hush puppies are delicious! I ordered the shrimp po boy and the shrimp was hand battered, light, crispy and very tasty! I had fried okra as a side and it lacked flavor. One of my dining companions ordered red beans and rice and Mac and cheese. Both of these dishes lacked flavor. It also seemed like the beans were pinto instead of red. Another dining companion ordered the Godwin sammich and shared it. It’s a big sandwich and both agreed it was delicious. All in all it was a nice place to eat but I wouldn’t necessarily go back.

I had the shrimp poboy and it was stuffed full of yummy shrimp. I actually made three meals out of it. My husband had pork chops and they were ok. The atmosphere and wait staff was pleasant.

Food was awesome and we had so much fun with our Duck Dynasty Detour in general. On our way to a work trip to NOLA and took this route for my kiddo who is a big fan of the show. Food was awesome. I’ve dreamed of those fried pickles since we left. Easily, the best I’ve ever had! I had the shrimp poboy and my kiddo had the pork bbq sandwich on texas toast. Fun atmosphere, just wish the guys visited more often so you had a chance to see them!

I absolutely love the show, the family and their values but, my family was disappointed with the Diner. The atmosphere was not that great. The service was very slow and the food was average. We were traveling through Monroe and we lost 2 hours by stopping to eat.

If you’re a Duck Commander fan, it’s one for stopping at. We took the family out and had a blast. The server and people that work the gift section couldn’t of been nicer. We would liked to of had the hush puppies with the meal, without repeated request. Kitchen fell down a little this visit, I don’t think Miss Kay would ever serve banana pudding without a slice or taste of banana. Will I try again? Sure! Everyone deserves another chance, but not favorite of the local cuisine.

We were driving through from Virginia to Texas and decided to stop in. Much like Gilligan’s Island, a short trip ended up taking FOR-EV-ER(said in true Sand Lot fashion). Both the cashier and waitress were extremely friendly making it hard to be too hangry about the wait. The food was quite yummy.(My son had rabbit for the first time.) Would we stop in again? Probably not. It was a neat stop, but it added over two hours onto our trip back to Texas.

Not a bad place. The food was great! Got a fried Duck Po-boy with the side of Mac-n-cheese. Then for desert I got the homemade Carrot Cake, which is awesome. Not to sweet and the touch with pecans on top. The downsides, the waitress took a while to get over to take my drink order. There were only 6 tables occupied when I came in just after 8pm on a Saturday. When I went to use the ketchup at my table, had to remove the seal before. The only reason I am mentioning this is due to sanitation. As a food service place you don’t want your customers to contaminate things that lots of people will use. Staff should be the one doing this when they are restocking the tables. This is why the 3 stars.

Nice place. Was in town for work stopped because I like the show. Was better than I expected to be for sure. Liked the environment, the service was great and friendly. Food was really good for a sandwich and sides.

We dined here, a family of four, on Saturday December 5th(2015), just after noon, prior to the UL-Monroe vs. New Mexico State football game. It was our pre-game meal before heading to Malone Stadium, and we were star-VING! Five stars? Five stars? Yes. Five stars. The food is good! The food. Is. Good. It’s all Southern, all Louisiana, blue plate fare that’s more than beyond edible and absolutely filling. It’s actually quite tasty and comparable to any number of diner-type local places around these parts. And even better, the prices here are also just as comparable. We were worried that this place, being somewhat of a tourist destination and really designed for such purpose, that the food would be at best subpar, and at worst, pricey on top of all that. Thankfully, our fears never came to fruition, in that this place isn’t just a one-trick pony, all flash and no sizzle, all style and no substance, just trying to capitalize on five minutes of fame. The food here is plentiful, and of good quality. Everything we ordered was most excellent! The service is fast and friendly. I hope this restaurant lives on long after Duck Dynasty has left the airwaves.

Was in Monroe on business and HADTO pay this place a visit. Walked in and the place is surprisingly nice. I don’t mean this is a snobbish way but Monroe isn’t known for being upscale. Came in with a client around lunch and were greeted and sat right away. We ended up both getting the«meatloaf sammich» and it exceeded expectations, it was delicious. Service was great and all the TV’s were showing Duck Dynasty(of course). Overall the experience was great and it would be a 5-star to me, even if it had nothing to do with the duck boys.

I live in MD, so I was doing the whole tourist thing. I thought the menu represented Louisiana well: fried shrimp, gumbo, creole, blackened chicken, etc. It was well priced… not over priced. There was really something for everyone on the menu. This would be an excellent family spot or after church dinner. Service was great! No Duck Dynasty cast, which bummed my son out… but I didn’t expect it. It’s cute… pretty much what I thought it would be.

Great service & mediocre food in a kitschy(as expected) setting. There may not be many options for non-chain dining options in the Monroe area, but you can do better than Willie’s Duck Diner.

I don’t his out a 5 star often for food but Willie’s deserves it. The atmosphere is very good. The good is great. I had ‘The Martin’ Sammich and it was excellent. My wife had Uncle Si’s Zydeco Chicken sandwich and it was great also. It was a bit expensive but it was worth it and the portion sizes definitely are generous. I should add that our waiter was Tyler and he did a great job with our table and made some great food recommendations. For dining in the area this is a must stop.

Food was good and came out quick, and portions were good. Boudin(3 stars), fried shrimp(5 stars), Mac and cheese(3 stars), turnips(3 stars), hush puppies(3 stars). Nothing to write home about though because my mom’s worst attempt is better. A little pricey for country food, so I guess I was paying for the name. I give it 4 stars because of the service. Shaina was awesome!

We joked about stopping here as both my mother and I are not exactly Duck Dynasty fans. But it was surprisingly good! First of all, the staff were all so friendly and cheerful. Everyone we spoke to was helpful and polite, it was very refreshing. The restaurant was clean and well decorated with a small gift shop up by the register. The menu had a lot of selection on it. I decided to get the swamp basket with a side of Mac and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese was some of the best I’ve had. My mother has a gluten allergy and still had a decent amount of choices, but ultimately decided on the Shrimp Caesar Salad with no croutons/bread. The portion sizes were huge! I’ve never seen any restaurant put so many shrimp in a salad before. Not only that, they actually got the orders correct and even better, everything was delicious and came to the table quickly. Don’t let the«gimmicky» feeling of this restaurant stop you from coming here. If you’re looking for some delicious food, be sure to stop in.

Stopped in on our way through from California back to Alabama… The sweet tea taste like home! The Bologna Sammich was perfect and fried okra just right! Nana pudd’n for desert… Might need a nap before I drive! Thanks for a great experience and good food! Roll Tide!

Passing through Monroe, we had to visit some of the Duck Dynasty places. This diner was one of them. There were four of us and we sampled a few things on the menu from gumbo to chicken to roast beef. From all four comments on the food I would have to say that the chicken and navy beans were favorites. The gumbo was just okay and the roast beef was just okay too. The potatoes and gravy were delicious. The food was pretty salty. However, there probably is more about visiting this place than the actual food. Isn’t that right? Service wasn’t very good. Unlike others we had no line to wait in. It was half-way between lunch and dinner so we were seated right away. Our server, Kristin, was prompt in taking our order but not so prompt in seeing that our food came out right or that we didn’t have to wait forever for to-go containers and our bill. We had a little trouble getting her back to our table. My salad was even served after my meal. The portions are huge though. Three of us had enough food to take home for another meal. Now we can say — been there, done that. Would we go back now that we’ve been? No.
