Bay Bay’s Chicken & Waffles

I stopped this afternoon for some lunch. The staff was friendly and very helpful! I ordered chicken tenders, Mac n cheese and a donut waffle with chocolate sauce and icing. Everything was hot and delicious. I love the breading on the chicken and the sweet bbq sauce! Thank you Bay Bays for a great experience! I will be back again soon! Great job and highly recommend this comfort food expert!

It’s small and there is hardly any seating. I wasn’t even over the moon for the waffle I got.
BUT!
I am a fan of fried chicken. And the chicken at this place is on the level of my super Southern grandma’s chicken. You walk Bay Bay’s and the smell of delicious, perfectly seasoned, fried poultry smacks you right in the face. We got a sample before we ordered and I knew my life had been changed.
Just go eat here. Go. Right now.

The food is good, but the service is always crappy for me. Just not customer oriented at all. I hate that because I love the waffles and the chicken, but I don’t like being aggravated with poor customer service skills. If you don’t like people don’t take a job as a server. Each time I come it is worse than the last.

First time here and the welcomed us at the door. They gave us a free sample of chicken even before we sat down at the table. Fast, fun and great service! Chicken and waffles were amazing. Definitely the best chicken and waffles I’ve had!

Great food and great people. Before we even hit our seat, we were given three pieces of fried chicken. Now that’s how you say hello. The staff was very nice and informative. More than pleased with our selections, took off a star because the chicken was fried extremely hard, and I prefer it a bit more flaky. Still a great experience.

This is the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had.
The service was extremely friendly here, they gave us some samples of chicken and explained the menu to us when we had questions.
The pumpkin waffles were so fluffy and delicious!
It’s a simple meal made right. It’s worth the wait for a fresh batch of chicken. The macaroni and cheese was really good too!

Just as good as the okee store just service is a bit slower and not as friendly they were more interested in having a conversation between themselves but the food was still good

Been a customer since they opened, quality has dropped. $ 20 for 7 pieces of dried overcooked chicken that were under heat lamps for who knows how long. Thighs were not even available. Old mac & cheese bland and mushy. What happened to the fresh, hot, juicy chicken that I used to wait for. I guess I should have known better since I was the only one in there

I’m only giving this place two stars because of the service. The girl was not welcoming and had an attitude. The floor was dirty and the table had not been cleaned off until we we were about to sit. To top it off she started cleaning the floor with bleach while customers were in there eating. Really??? That is not acceptable in any standards of the food industry.
I am sad about this because the food is good but I have seen this establishment going down every time I come here. We enjoy the food but the owner needs to take action and keep this place clean and hire good people to work here.

Chicken & waffles is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. And Bay Bay’s definitely does it right. Crispy, spicy, juicy fried chicken on top of a delicious waffle. Really nice that they give a little sample of chicken while you look at the menu.
I’m knocking off a star because the cornbread waffle, which I paid $ 4 extra to have, was not special at all. It was a little too dense and cakey and didn’t go with the chicken well/​was falling apart. I actually thought the regular waffle, which my friend had for no extra charge, was waaay better and would get that next time. I also wish they had gravy to top the chicken & waffles with instead of just sweet toppings. It’d add a little extra dose of deliciousness :)
Ambiance was what you’d expect from a real chicken & waffles joint. Very casual, more like fast food.

This was the first time here and the food was hot and fresh. The waitress was great she got our food out fast, she was very attentive. We were really pleased with our experience.

You already know about this place it is on point. The chicken is the best thing ever. The waffles offsets the spice of the chicken perfectly. Together they balance out perfectly. I have been coming here since the beginning and probably will never stop!

My wife and I enjoyed it very much, waffles were great and fluffy… The topping was very sweet, but the chicken was outstanding. We both got a two-​piece dinner hers was served on a red velvet waffle, in mine was on the strawberry waffle. The chicken was spicy but can be ordered mild if you don’t like It hot. I recommend this place, The service is great and the management makes you feel at home. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

Can you say soul food? Bay bay is everything you want and expect from a chicken and waffles joint. We started with a sample tasting of the chicken since it was our first time (the sample was enough for a chicken dinner for me). The crust is crunchy, and oh so flavorful. Hands down best fried chicken in Florida. But the star here was the waffle. This waffle is perfect. They offer everything from corn bread waffles to doughnut waffles. If you’re feeling a sweet treat, stop by and have a gourmet waffle. Don’t judge this place by its size. Golden comfort food.

The food was amazing, some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The waffles were out of this world great as well.
Why am I giving it 2 stars then? Because of the service. I don’t think I could’ve given worse service if I put every attempt into it. We had never been here before so had a few extremely simple questions about the menu and the female server literally laughed and rolled her eyes. Seriously? All I asked was if I ordered the chicken and waffles, but got one of the upgraded waffles, if I got 2 waffles since the first combo came with a waffle and the specialty waffles were a side order. First she said no, then I asked if she was sure and then she said, ok we can do that for you in a super condescending tone. I asked her co-​worker behind the counter and her co-​worker said «absolutely, you get 2 waffles always». Hmmm… Then when it came time for our food to come out, which was about 30 minutes later (the girl told us that fresh chicken just came out of the fryer, so how does it take 30 minutes to get our food?) she tells us they are all out of chicken breasts. Meanwhile, every single other person in the place who got there after us is getting their food with chicken breasts. Look, if you’re having a bad day, that’s one thing, and while I wouldn’t recommend letting it show to customers, it can kind of be excused. But to go out of your way to lie about not having your signature item available while it was 100% visible that other patrons were getting what you said was unavailable, especially ones that came in after us… come on, that’s just low. On top of that, when I questioned the waitress again about why everybody else (who, coincidentally happened to be black and we were the only white people in the place at the time) was getting quick service and the food that they ordered, she laughed again, saying I’m out of my mind. You’ve got to be kidding me. This is obviously a racist issue and I’m the one out of my mind. Last I checked, money is green and segregation was a long long time ago. I literally got service so bad, and obviously due to race, I feel like I should call the news station on this place but it’s not worth my time.
If the owner of Bay Bay’s reads this, you seriously need to look into who you hire because all of your hard work and delicious food is going to go into the dumpster with idiots like this running your shop. Really sucks because we drove all the way up from Fort Lauderdale to try your guys place out due to personal recommendations from friends of ours.

Absolutely delish! Went for dinner with my family. We were greeted by a friendly server who brought us samples of the fried chicken.
I ordered fried chicken with cornbread waffle. Crispy, hot, and the waffle wS sweet. My 2 girls ordered the chicken strips. They were also crispy and cooked to perfection toon. My son got a half a chicken and waffle and ate the whole thing. It is unanimous, we are all going again to try the other items on the menu. Definitely a hidden gem!

There are two things in this world that I can’t resist. FRIED CHICKEN is one, and WAFFLES is another. When the two are combined, it is an explosion of flavors that combines both sweet and salty tastes in your palate.
Since visiting Roscoes Chicken and Waffles in LA I always compared, in disappointment, any place here in Florida that offered chicken and Waffles until I found Bay Bays in West Palm.
I was like a kid in a candy store. Yes they had the traditional buttermilk waffles with fried chicken, but they also offered an array of Waffle options and combinations that force you to visit more than once just to try them all.
I was lucky enough to try the Red velvet waffles and the cornbread waffles with fried chicken.
Wow wow wow! The waffles were perfectly cooked, toasted yet soft to the bite. Both glazed with a sweet cream sauce. And the chicken, my mouth is watering just thinking about how crunchy, flavorful and juicy it was.
Best part is that they bring a piece of chicken to the table to see if it is to your liking before you even order. And belive me it will be. Do yourself a favor and drive to WP to Bay Bays Chicken and Waffles. I promise you won’t regret it!

My first here time here! Was greeted by Ericka who was very lovely. Then they give you a chicken sample! If this doesn’t sell you on the fact that they know their fried chicken is delicious then not sure what would? I was instantly excited then I take a look over at their waffle station! Their menu has a lot of choices, I went with the 2pc dark that comes with a side. I of course had to try their waffles so I went with the red velvet pecan waffle. Seriously the fried chicken is the best I have had in Florida hands down! The mash potatoes didn’t even need gravy and the waffle was great! The combination of all three things was a finger lickin feast! So happy I found this place. Try it ! You will not be sorry!

While spending the weekend in West Palm Beach with friends, we stopped for lunch at Bay Bay’s as one of them had ate at this restaurant on a previous occasion and said it was really good. Before trying this place out, I’ve had chicken and waffles at other places but this was the best one. And what makes it the best one is that the friend chicken is seasoned and crispy vs. just plain crispy. It really added a good flavor to the combination of the waffles and the chicken put together. My friends and I all ordered the 4 piece boneless tenders with regular waffles — on point. If you’re ever in the area, you must check this place out. They’re also cheap and it’s a good meal. My new place… Too bad there isn’t one in Miami (home).

Everything was delicious, the cook brought us free samples of chicken, and the waitress was friendly. Loved the grits!
