Hooks Hooks Hooks… what can I say about them? I LOVE their food. They are located in a bad area & the outside looks a little skeptical… but don’t be pushed away from that! I got the 6 piece meal with fries & toast for $ 7! So good!

Been twice to Hook and both times I was pleasantly surprised. If you like Southern style fried fish and shrimp(dusted rather than battered), then this is your place. 1st off, the place is really no-frills, right down to the homeless guy begging outside(mgmt ran him off). Got the fried grouper on the first go and was skeptical, but again – big surprise. Fish was really fresh, fried perfectly and gave a good serving portion for the price. The sides are nothing to speak of(slices of white bread and fries), but I imagine that helps them keep fish prices reasonable. Second go I went for the fried snapper, shrimp, and chicken gizzards. Yes, this place has fried gizzards and they are good. A little hot sauce makes ‘em great. The snapper was excellent; the shrimp were OK, but not the best. Outside of gizzards, haven’t had the chicken, but if you’re looking for good light crispy fried fish that won’t break you, Hook is it.

Hands down one of my favorite local spots in West Palm Beach. The neighborhood isn’t the best but the food is definitely worth it. The building is run down with a tight parking lot. The drive thru service can be slow so I’m always prepared to wait. I frequently order fish, chicken, and shrimp from here. The food is always fresh and hot! I have never been disappointed with an order to this day. Ask for a «mix» to drink on the side.

Dined in for lunch but this is a takeout place more than anything. Limited seating and disheveled looking. Lots of fried seafood and chicken on the menu, with several different kinds of fish. I got the fried grouper dinner which came with fries and bread, and some hot sauce. Fresh, delicious, enjoyed every bite! The area sucks. Don’t let it deter you from trying the place though. Better than local chain Bud’s.

Not the best area but definitely the best catfish and shrimp. 3rd time here and never is my order not good or fresh. Highly recommended

No customer service skills, but the food is good, Always hot, and you cant beat the prices. Ask for extra lemon salt for the chicken… $ 0.50 charge. And a lemonade is a must… delicious!

Hook, hook, hook. I love your food and concept, however there is a lot of wasted potential here. I feel like when it comes to the food and prices, this is a sold 4 star eatery. However, I must give it a 3 and here’s why: SERVICE is clearly lacking in this restaurant. The employees look annoyed and lack all customer service skills. On this visit I pulled into the drive thru and the girl asked«what you want?». Taken aback I quickly ordered, then she said«pull around». What ever happened to «Hello, proceed with your order when you’re ready» or «Your total is $xx.xx, please pull around to the next window thank you»? I was then practically tossed my food with no dialogue once so ever. 1⁄5 FOOD is pretty good. You can tell everything is cooked to order because it comes out piping hot. They serve chicken wings, fried fish, fried conch, fried shrimp, you name it! Also the prices are more than reasonable with most dinners falling in the $ 5 – 10 range. Ordering a homemade lemonade is a must! Yum. PRESENTATION is quite shabby. It is located in a questionable part of WPB and the establishment itself is old and run down. Overall, if you go through the drive thru and the employee isn’t a pain that day then this is a great food option. They are also open pretty late(12 am) and that’s always a plus when you’re coming from downtown.

I had a craving for a freshly fried fish and when I saw their sign outside«we fry fresh fish» so I pulled my car and I ordered Grouper Fish Dinner but unfortunately they were out it. I settled with Red Snapper. Overall I like the restaurant, great service, great food for the price, packed with regulars. However, I cannot be fooled. I can discern the frozen fish from fresh fish no matter how they prepare it. They may use some fresh fish but not all of them. If you want cheap satisfying food go Hook. You will not be disappointed.
