The wait was kinda long and they had to wait for another table to get up even though they told us our table was ready. Pretty upset once we sat down but once we finally got seated, Michael Coggins approached us and quickly took our drinks and food orders. He quickly changed the mood at the table and definitely made us all laugh! Great server!!! Foods great! Everything was great except the wait

I’ve left reviews for this place before but this morning it is surprising how getting such a miserable waitress has changed my morning dramatically. I was so pumped for the day only to be treated like an inconvenience instead of a paying customer. I’m a single person and this waitress is clearly more concerned with the two other parties she’s waiting on. It’s hard enough to dine alone without feeling like a burden, but to actually be treated like one, and pay money for it, really sucks. I should have followed my instinct and gone to avocado grill. Maybe then I wouldn’t feel like crying. 2 stars because the menus pretty good, and the other employees seem friendly.

They have really really good guacamole made table side, and the feel of the place is nice, but I haven’t cared for anything else I’ve eaten there. I usually go for for guac and a couple drinks.

Went here for lunch today, after a meeting. Neat place! My server, Samantha, was awesome! Greeted us right when we sat down, and checked on us throughout the time. I had the California fish tacos! Really good and good portion sizes!!!

We went 2 days in a row, because it was so good. I highly recommend the flautas with beef, they are like taquitos except times 10. The pitcher of margaritas were $ 22, which was a good price for 4.

Rocco’s Tacos is one of those restaurants you hear everyone in South Florida talk about so for Mothers Day I decided to give it a whirl. The restaurant is on clematis street with street parking available, or you can choose to park in a private lot across the street for a fee, along with indoor/outdoor seating. When we approached the hostess stand, she informed us that my sons stroller was not allowed inside the restaurant due to available space(he’s an infant that was sleeping in his car seat – clipped into the stroller). A table outside became available so we asked if we could wait for that one, as to not have to wake the sleeping baby, which the hostess obliged. We were promptly greeted by the waiter and placed an order for their guacamole and chips. The guacamole was amazing and the chips weren’t your typical dipping chips – they had a different type of seasoning on them that made them stand out. I had the chicken enchiladas, my husband order the chimichanga with a margarita and we shared a steak quesadilla. I must say that my favorite item was the steak quesadilla; the meat was cooked perfect and the variety of cheeses made it tasty. I wasn’t a fan of the other foods because the seasoning was a little strong, the meat was a bit dry and the margarita could’ve been better – it almost tasted like it was premixed and not made from scratch. Overall my experience was OK– glad I tried it once but definitely something I might just reserve for a night of people watching, chips with guacamole and drinks.

Gave the waitress a 20% tip on a $ 20 meal and when my debit card transaction came through the waitress increased her tip to 45%. So instead of leaving her a normal $ 4 on she gave herself $ 9. I’m not a sloppy writer. My 4 is very clearly not a 9. I won’t be returning.

Very trendy local bar with a DJ at night. They have saturday & sunday bottomless mimosas or bloody marys for $ 12 from 11am-4pm. The food is very good and authentic. The guacamole is made at your table.

It was alright, it wasn’t OMFG I need a line of ceviche pumping into my veins right now. It was just that, alright. Nice place to chat it up. The guacamole was definitely good. Yes definitely good. The ceviche was really good as well, taste wise it was very fresh. Wasn’t a huge fan of the pushy service. They push you especially if you are sitting outside to get you to leave. I felt rushed, and the waitress kept coming back to either take drinks away and finally asked«would you like anything else?». Well I might if I finish swallowing this piece of fish still in my mouth… Other than that it was alright.

I’ve heard of great enthusiasm for this restaurant. After a few visits I’m sorry to say, I don’t share in the enthusiasm. The décor is nice, especially the chandeliers which are crazy cool. Unfortunately the air is stale and has that sour booze aromatic happening. Service is lacking. Slow. We’ve asked to be accommodated on seating outside, being a family of five. There seems to be a lot of strict rules where such matters are concerned. The food– not a fan of the salsa. Not a salsa at all, imho. More like chunky chopped tomatoes sitting in a watery pool. No heat. Little flavor. Guac is only so-so. I’ve tried a few dishes, not wild about any of them, though my wife and daughter like the wet burrito. I have no problem with them enjoying them without me next time. Oh, did I mention pricey?

The atmosphere is pretty good but the food is just below average. I’ve been here twice now and left disappointed each time. This time we ordered the guacamole and chips followed the skirt steak and the wet burrito. The guacamole was good but the chips were incredibly over seasoned. The steak was bland and the sides were far from memorable.

I have had some good guac in my time, but this one takes the cake! the chips were spiced and so it enhance the guac experience… that is all I tried as I waited to go to the airport to fly home, but I would highly recommend and def go back! The crowd was hopping on an early beautiful Saturday, parking was not hard, and we got a table right outside in people watching distance of the sidewalk. Perfect! The waiter was new, it was clear: he def made more trips than he needed, and should have made his trips more worthwhile by doubling up on requests, but he will learn ;) Either way, I loved the feel, I loved the fun atmosphere that did not get too crazy, and the guac and chips were delish. I would love to go back and try more food and a margarita next time!

Overdue on writing this review and it was one of my favorite Taco joints that I have ever been to. The reason that I’m giving it four stars and not five is because the wait is foreverrrrr long if your going on a Friday or Saturday night, reservations should be made. The parking was not that hard to find we paid about $ 10 for parking across from restaurant. Let me begin with their complimentary chips that are served when you are seated sooo yummy. I don’t know what seasoning they add to it but it had a very nice flavored kick to them. We ordered the fresh guacamole that is made right in front of you which comes mild or hot. They have different specials daily which I decided to order that night which was fish tacos soo divine. I also tried there chorizo taco but was not so impressed with that taco felt it was watered down. Overall cool and hip spot loved the chandeliers and atmosphere. The bar had tvs and music was also playing.

Meh Decent but overpriced food and drinks and service is hit and miss. Meh. Good atmosphere for groups though. Hostess brings us to the wobbly high tops even though there are plenty of nice booths available. Didn’t even ask which one we preferred. Tacos are really wet and drippy so don’t order the hard ones cause they’ll just soak through and fall apart.

Caveat: Poor service, or possibly a grossly uniformed hostess. If you’re in it for an OK taco, and can stand lengthy lulls of dining frustration, this just might be your place! Went to Clematis Street yesterday trying to decide on where to eat. I asked the hostess if there were any specials. She said it was happy hour and drinks were $ 1 off. She said they also had their regular daily specials and they were written on the blackboard behind the bar and she honestly doesn’t know what they are so I can go look if I want.(Ugh. What?) Still, I got over the lack of knowledge, and asked for a table for two outside. When we were seated, she mentioned that she was mistaken and that the deal for $ 1 off drinks was only at the bar.(Oops.) She told us our server would be by our table, and I was relieved to hear that because already I was definitely in need of a margarita. Fifteen minutes later: We have not been greeted by our server. No acknowledgement of our existence on a slow Monday evening. My boyfriend waves over a busboy and asks for a server to come over to our table. A minute later, the hostess comes over and apologizes. It was completely her fault since she had forgotten to tell the server we were there.(Seriously, like what?) I was ready to walk across the street to The Alchemist. Anyway, a server came over and apologized that she wasn’t told we were there and it wasn’t actually even her section, but we had waited so long so she decided to take us. The server was actually nice and could actually do her job. We ordered a pitcher of Mango Margaritas(not very strong, and didn’t taste like mango). The glasses had table salt on the rim, not rock salt, so we did ask for new glasses with salt mid-way through. The tortilla chips and salsa. I must say it is a heaping basket of seasoned tortilla chips. Beware that the salsa is a bit on the watery side. But for $ 3, I’d say it’s worth it. The food we ordered came out fast. I ordered a slow roasted carnitas taco in a soft corn shell. It was a bit on the juicy side so that the pork juice puddled up in my plate soaking the taco shell.(They should really think about doubling up on the shell if it’s going to be served like that.) Luckily, the taste of the carnitas was delicious. DELICIOUS. Boy, and was that a shocker. Stars were lost here because of poor service. Gotta earn ‘em, guys, just a reminder.
