We might’ve come here on an off-night, but there were literally only 10 – 15 other people there which we all thought was surprising given that it was a Friday night. Also, most of them looked like the«just turned 21» crowd who were only there to take pictures. The girls in my group got the $ 10 all you can drink special, but that just means the drinks are 90% soda/juice. The lady bartender was great — quick, friendly, and made decent drinks. The male bartender, on the other hand, was very curt, didn’t seem like he wanted to be there, and his drinks were the worst. The place itself is really nice with fancy décor. I especially loved the mirrored merry-go-round horse hanging from the ceiling. Not sure why they have so much trouble getting people to go in… might have something to do with the hoards of overly aggressive promoters on the street — got stopped multiple times and they wouldn’t leave us alone, regardless of us either politely declining, saying we’ll check it out, or showing that we’ve already been there. Overall, this place has potential, but I don’t see any of us returning soon, if at all.

DJ was great. I arrived too early so it was a bit slow, but as the night continued it got much better.

Awesome place ! Great music had a blast ! Service was good! Prices are great. Nice people working there. Bottle service was a very good experience beside they charged us to bring extra juices, when we ordered 3 bottles, also charged for redbull as well with bottle service ! Overall great place to have a night out !

Wack. Worst bar I’ve ever been too. Bar tenders are rude and horrible. Go any where else. Seriously This place is the pits. So desperate to get you there but the service is horrible. I poured the ice and water from a drink and had the bartender angrily splash it back at us. Seriously? Like wtf? She definitely hates her job… I would too if I had to work there, but the paying customers don’t deserve to be treated like that. I Def won’t be back. Horrible. And desperate. Stay away… I wish I could give them a negative number. Not worth your time. Go anywhere else on clematis. Go. Enjoy. Have fun.

The owner, Randy got back to me and let me know they now carry Moët splits in brut and rosé. My favorite! Will be returning!

It’s our first time in WPB, FL so of course hitting up Clematis Street was a must on our first night out. We were originally planning to go to Off the Hookah, but basically got persuaded to go to the Monarchy instead. The club owner was on the street flagging down people like us to go to his clubs, «free drinks all night.» We received a cup that was $ 5 and proceeded to get free drinks using that cup. Overall it was a decent experience, music was okay they play a lot of mainstream hip-hop/rap. I noticed plenty of lonely men dancing alone or just standing there watching. As the night went on the dance floor wasn’t too packed but more people started coming in. Would we come back? Probably. Would we recommend the Monarchy? Yeah sure if you want some bring to do on the weekend.

Im rating a 1 because of a situation that happened with us. Me and a friend of mine were showing some friends from out of town West Palms night life. We were on our way to the Wine Dive when a promoter for Monarchy stopped us and asked us where we were going. He told us we should stop by Monarchy because ladies are free before 12, after that it’s 5 bucks and you drink free till 1 am. Taking into consideration we still went on our way to wine dive. At around 12:15 we showed up to Monarchy to finish out the rest of the night. We paid 5 dollars each(Being 4 of us) since it was after 12 and we went on inside and headed for the bar. I asked the bartender what was available in the«drink free till 1» category and she said we needed a cup. I went back to the front to ask the girl for our cups that she had forgotten and she tells me that its 10 dollars for the cup. I told her thats not what we were told from the promoters outside and she brushed me off saying«Not my problem I don’t know anything» I told her again what was said to us outside and again she says not her problem. The bouncer comes over and I tell him the same thing and i get«Not my problem» Then he begins to tell me «Those people outside aren’t associated with us» I just looked at him confused. If they aren’t associated with you then why are they outside promoting your club wearing your gear? So I asked him if I could speak to a manager and he tells me managers don’t carry walkies I have to find one myself if I want to speak with one. So I went into the club and found me a manager that of course, had an ear peice on. Once again i explained the story and he says he wasn’t sure what was going on. I told him it was wrong that you(Not him personally) had people walking around outside saying one thing then when we come in tell us another. He kinda shoved it off at first then apologized and offered us free shots. I didn’t care about the shots it was the principle. You can’t false advertise and expect people not to be angry. I wasn’t the only person who noticed. There was another set of people who wondered the same thing, and all this was over a cup. Not even an 8oz glass, a damn dixie cup.

False advertisement, do not fall for what the promoters tell you on the street, this is the second incident. Went on a Sat night all promoters said ladies drink complimentary kettle one, once inside the bartender was completely rude did not give us kettle one even after we told him what was advertised, finally the manager came over and unapologetically gives us our kettle one and says even though they advertise kettle one, you have to ask for it, even though we had already done that. Totally unorganized, rude people, not the way to keep customers coming, I certainly won’t be and neither will my friends.

Love Monarchy:) great music and great vibe. The front of the club is kind of chill out style, u can look out the windows to Clematis st. and after the renovations a half a year ago the place looks sharp — the dance floor is bigger, design is stylish and the DJ booth is rad– for west palm beach I think this is the coolest and classiest around.

My wife and I went there last Saturday night and liked it a lot. Best parking spot is in the WPB municipal parking garage around the corner on N. Olive Ave. Monarchy has great music for dancing. It was not only nicely loud, but they had a great D.J. and the acoustics were so good you could really«feel» the beat in your whole body, not just hear it. Cover was reasonable($ 10 for me; I believe my wife was free), and they put an invisible-ink stamp on our wrist so we could leave and get back in(for example, we went down and checked out the other club downstairs for a while). We felt comfortable dancing as sexy as we wanted to, without feeling like people were watching us; because everyone was dancing and having a great time. The only thing I would change is to have a non-smoking section. Although there was not a massive amount of smoking on the dance floor, it is more than I would prefer to be exposed to, as a non-smoker. Otherwise, it was a fun and awesome place.

Only fun if you have bottle service, its pretty average otherwise. I would definitely make sure you have a table, and arrive after 130.

I’ve had some of my best nights and some of my most boring nights at Monarchy. Well not boring because I would just leave and go to a different club, either to Dr. Feelgoods downstairs, or across the street to Off the Hookah. I went a lot during November/December on Fridays/Saturdays, and at midnight, the dance floor was pretty much empty. It picked up by around 1am, but if you don’t want to wait that long, head downstairs to Dr. Feelgoods which is always busier. Monarchy usually has more dance/trance, but the DJs are different on different nights so its kind of a hit and miss. The crowd is also a hit and miss, sometimes you get a lot of young(er) people, perhaps in their late 20s to 30 somethings. Some nights you just get the old sleazy guys. Yuck! There are two bars and the dance floor is in between them, so it is a nice open space to dance, especially when there are more people on the dance floor. I believe Fridays is ladies night, but I can’t be certain, it could be Thursday. But in my experience, Fridays and Saturdays are better than Thursday!

Finally had a chance to go here on Christmas Day. It was one of the only places open and I loved it. Finally a place in West Palm Beach that plays good House and Dance Music. Its dark and sexy and classy… And from what I can see they get alot of big name dj’s here also. This is exactly what downtown needed…

Monarchy just did not really do it for me. The place was packed which was good, the music was horrible though. If you like trance its definitely the place for you, otherwise id recommend either Dr Feelgood or lost weekends

My new favorite spot in West Palm Beach. Exactly what the area needed and joined the rebirth of Clematis’s newest spots. Located upstairs/above Dr. Feelgoods and connected to Lost Weekend. I loved the décor. It’s very different then any other club with skanky girls in stripper shoes dancing and tasteless cheap furniture. Very romantic, vamp, classic style. Music is great. Staff is attentive. I like it alot.
