Stingy with their ketchup… WAZE map directed me here, first time here-ordered strawberry milkshake and large fries-lunch time-busy little place, took me awhile to figure out where the line started-they’re pretty quick for being so busy-not so sure about all the food handlers using their bare hands to touch the food, bags, straws, etc… a large order of steak fries requires more than two ketchup containers… just sayin’…would definitely come back next time I’m in West Sac…

Omg I love this place! Awesome food for such a great price. Can’t get enough of their burgers and fries. Just took my daughter her for the first time and she loved it. I just myself have been introduced to this place and am happy I know about them.

It’s hard to not order everything at once so I usually limit myself to 5 or 6 things at a time lol. Been going here since I was a kid and it never fails. Long lines are always worth it here!

Combo burrito and chips with dip were garbage. Let me say I love this place but this is not there specialty. Stick with the burgers nd shakes because that is what is bomb as hell here.

I don’t want to tell you about this place; I don’t want you to show up, I don’t want you to tell your friends about it, I don’t want the lines to get any longer than they already are. But, Whitey’s is too damn good, too damn affordable and too damn a rare entity to not share. I never even took my mother here until yesterday! Thus, the Anthony Bourdain dilemma. «I kill what I love.» Whitey’s is no longer cash only, they accept debit cards. Whitey’s does take a vacation for the holidays, about a week during Christmas. Outdoor seating only. Whitey’s Special $ 4 | Quarter pound of beef with all the fixin’s. I never order tomato and onion on my burger; a big ass slab of hotness? Pass. Whitey’s onions are small diced and co-mingle with the two patties, lettuce, pickles and bacon. Meaty, juicy, sharp acidity, aromatic onion and crunchy bacon. My mom was lovin’ this. I always order… Fish Sandwich $ 3.65 | Two dark golden brown, crunchy and fried to perfection fish fillets under a soft hamburger bun, cafeteria American cheese and a mountain of shredded iceberg. I don’t like shredded lettuce. Onion Rings $ 2 and change | Beer battered crust hugging onto sweet Vidalia onions. They’re fresh and blazin’ hot! I prefer breaded/panko onion rings, but let’s face it… I’m fat. Do you really see me passing up ANY onion rings?

Best Burgers in town. The place is small but has a big parking lot. It been there for years. The price is real good for the food. And you can call orders in. Its kind of weird that the line to order goes right through some of the tables that are there. I think that they are to original tables that cant be moved. During the summer, there are hot rods that show up on the last thursday of the month. Kind of cool to look at them while eating a burger. All I can say is Great Price, Great Burgers. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Dont know why. Wish they were open.

Delicious burgers and super reasonable prices. It really gives you that feeling of nostalgia. How burgers were meant to be.

Okay let’s get the bad out of the way: everytime I’ve gone, it’s been a long wait. And I understand if it’s busy but there’s been times when it’s just me and someone else and the wait was still around 15 – 20 minutes. So be willing to wait quite a bit. Delicious food for such a low price. Seriously. If you’re looking for a cheap place to get something to eat, look no further. The food I ordered was made fresh and tasted amazing. I recommend the chicken sandwich or the BLT. Also the onion rings. Other than the low prices(seriously, this is one of the best food you can get at this price) that I found awesome, was the variety of food they served. They also served tacos and burritos. The service was nice. The person who took my order was very polite and they all were in good moods. The This is the type of place you return to and reference among your friends as a meet up place. I’m definitely coming back and definitely bringing people here. They also have vintage car shows here sometimes! So fitting!

Great prices on all their food. The why do you special as my favorite their fries are delicious. I recommend the fish and chips very well priced. Their shakes are the best recommend their strawberry or peach is when it’s in season. Customer service is awesome. I recommend calling in an order your food before.

Went here on a recommendation. I have been to countless burger joints over the last decade living in midtown. I ordered the chili burger and a soda. Pros: friendly/prompt service, cool old school feel, neighborhood friendly, community minded and reasonable prices. Cons: medium soda is equal to a small anywhere else(state side), the hamburgers are very disappointing and incredibly small. The buns are white bread, small and not toasted. I will probably never go back as multiple other hamburger spots in town have larger drinks, better tasting burgers and cost the same. This place is like Willie’s, but ½ as good with ½ as much food for the same price.

Very solid local hamburger joint. There is always a big crowd of people waiting. It takes a little longer than a chain burger joint to get your food but i don’t mind waiting for good stuff. Simple good food. Pretty decent price too.

This place has been open since 1963, what took me so long to finally get here to try it(though I think I may have been taken here back when I was in high school)? It is fresh peach shake season but I have lactose intolerance so one of my friends graciously let me take a spoonful of his shake to taste. Pretty good. I had a salmon burger. For only $ 3.50 it contained a large salmon patty. It was a little salty. Definitely good value. The rest of my party had hamburgers and fried things. They enjoyed their onion rings, spicy fries, and fried mushrooms. Since the milkshakes are hand blended for each customer, it takes quite awhile for your order to be ready(about 20 – 30 minutes). There were several tables in the shade and the weather was great so we enjoyed our nice leisurely lunch catching up on things.

Very small, cute place. Customer service was okay. They were behind a window so I didn’t much of a customer service experience.(Not a bad thing.) I ordered the Whitey’s special. It was my first time here, so I always order the most popular thing on the menu. Burger was very good. Did not feel so much like fast food. They actually put some love in that burger! Yes, if it is a hot day, it’s not so appealing to come here. However if you want something cold, then come here for the milkshake! I had the Oreo Milkshake and you can tell they don’t skimp out on their ingredients. If you want a burger, come out here. Don’t you dare go to a fast-food chain for your burger. Shame on you!

Cheap and good. All of the burgers are delicious and the frys are tasty. The shakes are good too. Did I mention that it’s cheap? I’d recommend the whitey’s special. Stay away from the mexican food. Its not good. The burrito I had was poorly constructed and the fillings were kind of gross. Besides sticking to the american side of the menu, the only other advice I have is to call your order in to avoid the lines!

Wow 40 minutes to get me chili cheese fries and a bean burrito… I will say the chili cheese fries are really good. Doesn’t quite replace my favorite chili cheese joint in SoCal but it’s pretty good. Tasty, but still searching for the right chili sauce for the fries. They have small and large size. I would of posted a picture but I was extremely hungry and 40 minutes turned me into a demolished of all food in my path. They have a good selection from food options to classic burgers to burritos and ice cream. I thought it was odd so I said why not and get a bean burrito just in case the small order of fries doesn’t fill me up. Also pretty good but I had them put the sauce on the side. Good thing I did! I wasn’t a big fan of the sauce, but that’s why you ask! :) It’s good don’t get me wrong, I’ll have to give it another shot. Hopefully the wait isn’t normally like this. Big orders and being busy is understandable but a bean and cheese burrito and chili cheese fries are pretty quick. Kind of reluctant to try anything ‘crazy’ like a burger. I will need to return but 3, for the wait :/way too long for a ‘fast food’ joint.

Beef patties are standard for cheap fast food. Ask for grilled onions on it. Love them because long standing support in the community. They support kids sports teams.

I’m here on a Thursday night around 6:30 p.m. because I’m craving a milkshake. When I arrived, it became immediately obvious that this is a popular place. I was confused which window to order at and asked a teenager near me who told me to wait between the two windows until I was called. That seems rather obvious, but given the number of people hanging out, it was hard to tell at first who was in line and who wasn’t. I ordered a medium peanut butter & banana milkshake and jalapeño poppers with ranch. My milkshake was friggin’ amazing. I would come back to get this again and will order a larger size next time. The poppers were really good too, but were served piping hot so I burned my mouth on them. I would order them again too but know now to wait a bit before I eat them. As far as atmosphere, there is no indoor dining area. After you order at one of the two windows, you can either leave or sit at one of the yellow metal tables outside. The crowd is all ages from teenagers to retirees and everyone is in casual clothes bordering on sweat pants. I’ll be back for the delicious milkshakes and look forward to trying the seasonal peach milkshake this summer.
