I’m not a fan of Tim Horton’s. Never have been. I am out and about screwy hours during the night and there are not too many places open for a quick bagel/donut. Christmas night going into Boxing Day I found this place open. 5AM or so. I had many gift cards for Timmy Ho’s so I decided to stop and make use of some. The stars are solely for the souls manning the front counter. I will never understand the logic, if there is any, behind the ordering process. I don’t drink coffee. All I want are a few bagels, two donuts and two croissants. Simple. Nay nay I say. There is no counter space showing baked goods offerings anywhere. Bagels are racked behind the counter. Croissants are basketed in a special place and the donuts are actually in a counter off to the far right. In addition to the disarray you need to know exactly what you want while ordering. And I mean«two crullers, two everything bagels and two cheese croissants». No perusing anything. I held up the«regular line» while I asked simple questions as to what was available. Tim’s is not for me. A given. The croissants, when heated at home, were lovely. The crullers are always a treat. The ordering process truly needs updating.

I’m not sure if this is the oldest Timmy’s in the area, but it was the first one I remember and the only one I recall before there seemed to be a Timmy’s on every corner in the burbs. They just recently remodeled — including new digital signage, a fireplaces and café seating, and free Wifi. Yes, up until the remodel, this location had no Wifi. Welcome to the late-20th Century, Timmy’s on Seneca & Ridge! Oh, and don’t get confused by the«pull through» lane that merges you into the drive-thru lanes. If you need to circumvent the drive-thru and get back out into traffic, go ALLTHEWAY around the parking lot and into the neighboring plaza on the east side of the drive-thru. The new design seems to be very confusing to so many people…
