Hostelling International

This was my first hostel and it was a great experience! I brought my 8yr old daughter & I wasn’t sure what to expect. Everyone was so nice! They have 3 fridges, 4 stoves, three sinks, in a big kitchen. They served a free breakfast every morning. All you can eat Pancakes, oatmeal (with nuts, raisins, and brown sugar), whole grain bread for toast with raspberry jam, marmalade, and sun butter. Coffee and hot tea.
We slept in the women’s dorm. It was clean and comfortable along with a bathroom for the women connected to it. 3 stalls and 3 showers, which was plenty for our room.
They have outdoor showers that are wonderful! This is a MUST try if you’ve never experienced one!
It’s located in the middle of the island with bus stops right in front of the hostel. They have a great bus system on the island.
This was a great experience! My daughter and I had an amazing time and we will come again!
They do have a private family room, call and book early if you want it.

this place is wonderful! i have been staying there each summer for about 10 years! new staff each summer so personalities and management change (as with any hostel). there are rooms of various sizes as well as same-​sex and co-​ed. one of my favorite things about this place is the outdoor showers. they also have Internet in the lounge and a give/​take book shelf. it is not in the touristy part of the vineyard but is on the bus route. west tisbury is beautiful! you will probably love this hostel as much as i do.
