Been here several times over the past year and it is always great!!! Clean, courteous and food is always a 10! If your looking for the best Chicago dog or Italian beef this is the place to go!

I actually JUST read Dan’s review and spot on about the sport peppers. I had gotten a bratwurst (grilled onions, mustard and peppers) Boy did it hit the spot! Also tried the Philly cheese steak… Enjoyed it but didn’t love it. The owner seems to be very friendly and had a great smile like he really enjoys his job.
Basic Hot Dog/​Burger Spot. Think they only specals are like D’s Hot dog/​D’ Burger (Cheddar cheese, Grilled onions and bacon) but outside of that nothing you can’t get at any other Hotdog/​burger joint.) It’s a simple neighborhood spot. They do have outdoor seating. (something most of these places don’t have in this area) I’ll be coming back for sure as I normally pass sometimes coming home.

It is a standard hot dog joint with great gyros. Nothin really much to say. Friendly people. The food is typical of any Greek hot dog place.

I cannot really comment on the food because of what happened to me AT & ON their premise. I came in there with a friend. I ordered a hotdog, and my friend ordered one too except with fries. i requested a small Pepsi, and my friend a medium orange. I was not feeling well because i had spent 5 hours across the street with my ailing cat at the animal hospital… which was a fiasco for the most part.
So excused myself from waiting and i went outside and sat at one of their six picnic tables — that had umbrella canopy’s that were mounted straight through the center of the table.tops. My friend soon appeared with the food and «drink.» My friend placed the food onto the tabletop… and went to sit down ~ on the same side of the bench I was on. Suddenly the table flipped right over onto us throwing food and drink all over me. Now, we are not grossly overweight people whatsoever. This could likely have happened to just about anyone with the exception of children… well…3 of them maybe. I got hurt from this table. My friend was very lucky — as they were jettisoned clear of the impact zone. In terrible pain and astonishment… i shoved back at the table as hard as i could… because…darn…this hurt. The table rebounded and came at me again. I do not remember the ensuing fracas real well from there. In pain… i do know i became extremely irate. I could see the workers looking out their window. No one even came outside though to see if someone got hurt. My friend got the idea that if i went back inside there might have been a calamity… so i was talked into just leaving. I don’t think they realized how banged up i was. My adrenaline flowing… i do not think i realized so either. I also had a very sick cat in a carrier in my car… and really needed to take this poor animal home. So while the food may well be okay… i definitely do not recommend sitting at those picnic tables

Decided to get lunch here. Purchased one Chicago dog, one ribeye steak sub, and some onion rings. Dog was a solid «Chicago style» dog. Onion rings were great. Steak on sandwich was a little over cooked. Two people were filled on these three items. Cost was $ 12. That’s pretty good for this area. Folks were really nice. Next time I think I will try the gyro and cheeseburger.

First time getting a Chicago dog in Chicago. This place is a no frills hot dog stand… love it! The Chicago dog was tasty, just how I am imagined it would be. The owner is very nice and the service a über fast. I will be returning to this unassuming hot dog stand next time I am back in Chicago.

We own the dealship a couple doors down. I have been going to Ds since I was old enough to walk there by myself. My father opened the dealer in 1985, the year I was born. No doubt, BEST burger in Chicago. Everything else is GREAT. Ds is always our top choice. Whether you are getting a burger, hot dog (best toppings), beef, etc… you will always be satisfied.

D’s Dog Hut is a small hot dog joint located on Roosevelt Road in Westchester just a little bit East of Wolf Road. There’s a few tables to eat at along with some picnic tables outside.
As I walked in I decided to try the hot dog with everything. After receiving my hot dog I was pleased to see it came on a standard poppy seed bun. The bun was soft and had a nice taste to it. The pickle included on the hot dog was thin, but a bit on the sour side. I didn’t detect any celery salt on my hot dog, but it’s possible it was very lightly applied. The mustard, relish and onions were added to the hot dog well. The big problem with this hot dog was the sport peppers, the type used by this particular establishment are very hot and they seemingly put on two dogs worth of peppers on mine. I took them off after the first two bites but the pepper taste was so strong that I could still taste sport pepper long after I had finished eating the hot dog in my car. It completely overpowered every other flavor here.
Outside of the sport peppers this wasn’t a bad hot dog. I’d even consider going here again and just getting it with no peppers. These were among the hottest sport peppers I’ve tasted on a Chicago style hot dog and the fact that they were so heavily applied is what brought the score down here. Other than that, this wasn’t bad.

My favorite local food joint in Westchester. I grew up eating here and never miss it when I come back to visit. The staff is really nice and has been consistent for a long time. Excellent burgers and gyros!

Amazing hamburgers and gyros. You have to try them to understand!!! Order the Gyro Plate or ½ lb Super Burger! The owner is a great guy and always makes you feel welcome. Their prices aren’t always as cheap as McDonald’s, but the food is a cut above for sure. If you are near Westchester and need a bit to eat, this is the place.

Nice corner hot dog joint that’s been in the area for a while. Great Vienna Beef chili cheese dogs ($ 2.59), also can agree with not being light on the condiments. Wouldn’t recommend the beef ($ 4.19) as the flavor was somewhat muted, despite it being dipped and the meat texture was grimey. Fries were pretty good as well. Not bad for $ 9 and they take credit cards, which is something I wish more places do. Nice owner.

I went here for lunch today. 2 milkshakes, a pickle and a Jumbo charred hot dog later I am a satisified customer. It was chicago style all the way to the celery salt!
Awesome little hot dog stand in the west burbs. Very generous with their condiments.
So if in the nighborhood and in the mood for a char grilled dog… thi s is the spot!
