The owner is so sweet and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you’re gettting. I love popping in for a fresh green juice or muffin.

The only place for miles and miles that offers not only gluten free and vegan soups, salads, entrees, bakes goods, juices and smoothies, but almost all organic, too! Muffins and brownies are incredible. The crust on the eggless spinach and mushroom quiche is divine. Old familiar classics like mac n cheese and pasta bolognese are offered in vegan and gluten free form and still taste great!(even my Italian friend was surprised by the bolognese sauce!) AAAAND… not only is there food to be had, but a bulk organic market with hundreds, yes, hundreds, of herbs, spices, grains with and without gluten, flours with and without gluten, raw organic nuts(pricey, but soooo worth it!), wheat or rice pastas, beans and more! All that said, they do have regular milk and honey to accommodate the folks that like their smoothies, coffee and tea the old fashioned way and real feta cheese for the chopped greek salad. Friendly and informative staff will custom blend any juice or smoothie right before your eyes in the open kitchen. Definitely worth a hop off of I-95 for the 7 mile trip to this neat little downtown!

Great all natural foodie heaven — only complaint would be the pricing on some items. For example, the coconut water my girlfriend always likes to grab is $ 7 here and only $ 3 at McQuaid’s. Maybe it’s a volume thing, but an uptick of 100% in pricing is a bit nuts!

This takeout restaurant defies all the odds. Odd #1: its hardly memorable name is somewhat odd and difficult to spell out in your search engine. Odd #2: its location in the center of labyrinthine downtown Westerly where driving is challenging and parking is scarce makes takeout difficult, because you may spend more time finding parking and walking to and from your parked car than actually placing your order and walking out with your meal. Odd #3: its limited menu of only two soups, two salads, two entrees, and two muffins. Odd #5: its menu is all vegan. Repeat, totally vegan! As a vegan, I sure am glad M & M has defied all the odds. What assures its continued success is what counts: the food. It all is wholesome, delicious, and colorful. Considering the modest prices, the portions are generous. And the menu changes daily, therefore variety abounds, just not on the same day. So check its DeFacebook page for its menu listing, call in your order, have your passenger jump out of the car to pick up the order while you drive around the block, which will be a very long and circuitous block, and then head for a picnic in nearby Wilcox Park. Oh and don’t forget to pickup your passenger, who after all has the picnic basket.

This place is perfect for anyone GF, as they offer a huge variety of goods to meet your needs. The owner is lovely and kind. 99% of the items are organic. The tea and juice bar offers a nice healthy pick me up. No need to buy more than you need of any item. Fill your bag with just the right amount. Come support this local business, they have great things to offer.

This place is awesome. You can bring in a recipe and they will put all the organic ingredients in a bag for you. its so nice to have an option that I know is healthy and whole, vegan food. They also juice and do smoothies. They will do half servings for my kiddo sometimes.

Love this place! They make great pressed juice right in front of you for a reasonable price. And you can literally get whatever you want put into the juices or smoothies. The people there are all so kind and really make your day. Also they have every kind of seed, grain, nut etc. that you could ever want.

Obviously has the word ‘wholefoods’ in the name but it is not a wholefoods chain store, which is good. pretty cool shop, lots of interesting bulk items and teas. lots of gluten free and health food stuff that probably isnt easy to find around here. if you are on a restricted diet or just trying to eat different/healthy you should check out Maize n Manna. reasonable prices. friendly people.

They have a really great selection of grains, spices, and pasta. They have lots available for gluten-free eaters too. I really like their homemade soups:)
